you you you you Welcome to our service today. We are sorry for the delay. We are missing one of our buses, and we don't want them walking in the middle of Canada or part of our tribute to our armed forces today. And so we're just going to be patient. They're coming in the parking lot right now. We'll start in about three minutes. Thank you very much. you Good morning. Welcome to our Remembrance Day service. Let's stand together if you would. Let's turn and face the flag to my right as we sing O Canada. With holy hearts we see thee rise, the True North strong and free. From far and wide, O Canada, we stand on guard for thee. O Canada, we stand on guard for thee. O Canada, we stand on guard for thee. Thank you, you may be seated. and and So, Pastor Furies asked me to read a tribute that he's written about a man who's now a hero who just weeks ago we didn't even know existed. And it reads, on October 22nd, our nation witnessed the murder of one of our soldiers on our own soil in our nation's capital. Corporal Nathan Cirillo was only 24 years old. He freely gave his time to act as the ceremonial guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, where he was attacked and murdered. Corporal Cirillo counted it an honor to stand vigil, representing a century of Canadian soldiers who died in battle in all corners of our world. Carrying an unloaded weapon, as is the custom of the ceremonial guard, he stood proudly as a Canadian, paying his respect and giving tribute to other soldiers like him who had given their lives to preserve our way of life. Corporal Cirillo's life is not more valuable than any other who has died either defending our country or proudly worn the uniform of our country. But his life has seemingly touched so many more than the unknown soldiers who he stood guard for. Corporal Cirillo's death reaches across Canada and awakens us to a stark new reality. For many years, we have paused on Remembrance Day to give thanks for those who have fought to secure our freedom. We have bowed our heads for a moment of silence, sang our national anthem, listened tearfully to the last post, and prayed for our country. The death of Corporal Cirillo is more than just an addition to a Remembrance Day service. but it is now a reminder of where we find ourselves today as a nation. We are living under constant threat of an enemy who lives and walks among us. He has reached our soil. He has killed one of our own brazenly in our nation's capital. Today, We don't just pause to remember, but we must also be reminded by this sacrifice that if my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land. Never were the words more important, God keep our land glorious and free. Thank you, Corporal Cirillo, for this important reminder. May your death not be in vain. I encourage all of you now to join me in standing for the last post. ["Taps"] Let us join together in prayer at this time. Heavenly Father, we thank you again for the privilege to be in a country that is free. Lord, we realize that many countries throughout the years and even today live in fear, but not us. Father, we also realize that this did not come without a price. We've had people sacrifice their time, their lives, their family members, their health, their deep emotions, so that we could have freedom and safety and protection in this country. Lord, help us to, as Christians, to always have a hope and a joy and a thrill in our hearts that we have such freedom. and that we've been willing to pay the price. Father, help us to use this freedom to further the gospel. And Lord, help us to also remember those who did pay that price so that we have that gospel to give out. Father, we thank you right now, and we pray for the families of those who have lost loved ones over the years to sacrifice their lives for us. Father, we thank you for those who are serving right now. Whether it be a cold war or whether they be in the midst of battle, they are on guard, ready to protect our freedoms and our safety and our families. Hebrews chapter 10, Hebrews chapter 10. The title of my message today goes with our theme called By Virtue of His Sacrifice. By Virtue of His Sacrifice. For the last several years, Canadian forces have been involved in conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan. And all too often, we read in the paper and hear on the news that a soldier has died. It is often stated that he or she has made the ultimate sacrifice. The definition of the word sacrifice, of course, has its roots in the Bible. A sacrifice was something that was given up to God. That's the very general sense of it. But it was for the good of the people. The word sacrifice today often is used with much less meaning. Maybe you've said something like this, I was running late today so I had to make a sacrifice and not have my Tim Hortons coffee. We often use it in a much less meaningful way, but a sacrifice was something that was given up to God, that it might be the benefit to all the people. When we read in the Old Testament of the sacrifices that were made, especially on the Day of Atonement, the Great High Priest would first offer a sacrifice to God for his own sins, and then for the sins of the people. That bull, that goat, whatever the animal might have been, that lamb that was spotless, would have its blood shed for the benefit of others. When we think of the Canadian soldier, we think of that same idea of sacrifice. They are giving their lives to preserve a way of life for us, that we might ultimately benefit from their sacrifice. A soldier sacrifices his life. He may set out on a mission one morning, never giving thought to death, thinking often about home, but always ready and willing to give his life for others. As I think of the sacrifice of the Lord Jesus Christ, He often thought of home as well and talked to his father daily. But never once did it cross his mind that he could go home without making the sacrifice. The Lord Jesus Christ willingly gave his life for you and me. For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son. That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. Hebrews 10 talks about that important sacrifice, and I would have you join me in verse one as I read. For the law, the Old Testament, having a shadow of good things to come and not the very image of the things, can never with those sacrifices which they offered year by year continually make the comers thereunto perfect. For then would they have not ceased to be offered. because that the worshipers once purged should have no more conscience of sins. But in those sacrifices, there is a remembrance again made of sins every year. For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins. Wherefore, when he cometh into the world, he saith, sacrifice and offering thou wouldst not, but a body hast thou prepared me. In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin thou hast had no pleasure. Then said I, Lo, I come, in the volume of the book it is written of me, to do thy will, O God. Above, when he said, Sacrifice and offering and burnt offerings and offering for sins thou wouldst not, neither hadst pleasure therein which are offered by the law. Then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God. He taketh away the first that he may establish the second. By the witch, And by the witch will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. And every priest standeth daily, ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins. But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins, forever sat down on the right hand of God, from henceforth expecting till his enemies be made his footstool. For by one offering he hath perfected forever them that are sanctified. Whereof the Holy Ghost also is a witness to us. For after that he had said before, this is the covenant that I will make with them. After those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts and in their minds and I will write them. And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more. Isn't that a great verse of scripture? And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more. Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin. having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way which he hath consecrated for us through the veil, that is to say his flesh, and having a high priest over the house of God, let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering, for he is faithful, that promised. Let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together as the manner of some is, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the day approaching. Let's pray together. Our Heavenly Father, we are so thankful and grateful today for the sacrifices that we have heard about and remembered today. But Lord, there was an ultimate sacrifice paid for every man, woman, and child that ever lived. The Canadian soldier sacrifices for allied powers. He sacrifices for Canada. But Jesus Christ sacrificed for even our enemies. For those that were far off, as the Bible puts it. For Jew, for Gentile, for Greek, for barbarian, for Scythian, for Mede. Father, we're so thankful that you died for the sins of the whole world. and that your sacrifice can reach all. Father, today we have the opportunity for just those in this room to be awakened once again to the ultimate sacrifice that Christ made for us. But may we take it to a lost and dying world and share with them the love of the Lord Jesus Christ. Father, help us, we pray, as we spend some time in your word. And we'll thank you in Jesus' name, amen. Turn back a couple pages, if you would, to Hebrews chapter seven. Hebrews chapter seven. Look, if you will, in verse 22. By so much was Jesus made a surety of a better testament. And they truly were many priests, but they were not suffered to continue by reason of death. But this man, because he continueth ever hath an unchangeable priesthood. Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them. For such a high priest became us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens. who needeth not daily as those high priests to offer up sacrifice, first for his own sins and then for the people's. For this he did once when he offered up himself. There's a heresy that circulates today. I even heard it in a song just the other day. I heard of a pastor, a well-respected preacher in the States who put out an article that Jesus Christ at one point had an argument with God in heaven. I don't want to go. I don't want to lay down my life for this creation that has rejected us, forsaken us, and sinned against us. My Bible says He offered Himself willingly. He gave of Himself. Jesus Christ sacrificed his life that we might have life. The role of the priest every day was to stand at the doors. The Bible says in Hebrews 7 verse 27, it says he's who needeth not daily as though high as priests to offer up sacrifice. Every day there was the work that they would offer sacrifices on behalf of the sins of the people. On the great day of atonement every year, they were reminded, the Bible says in Hebrews chapter 10, they would have a remembrance service. but it served only to remind them of their sin. The blood of bulls and goats was not sufficient, it was not perfect, it was not a sacrifice that was pleasing unto God. All it sought to do was, in ceremony, in rite and ritual, remind the people that they had sinned and that they must walk closer to God. Hebrews chapter 11 is the conclusion of the matter. The Bible talks about all those great people of faith being justified by their faith. The sacrifice was only a reminder they must put their faith in God. But we have a better sacrifice. We have a spotless, sinless, holy, righteous, blameless lamb of the living God, Jesus Christ, who offered himself upon the cross of Calvary to pay the price for our sins. It's interesting today that a soldier would go and give his life for another. It is the ultimate sacrifice. It is the ultimate expression of love. The Bible says, greater love hath no man than this, that a man may lay down his life for his friends. And the soldier gladly goes and enlists, knowing that one day he may lay down his life for his country, and lovingly and willingly does so, that we might have freedom fighting against an enemy. The enemy that we faced was sin. The Lord Jesus Christ came and laid down his life for sinners, for you and for me. I want you to notice back in Hebrews chapter 10, just a couple things this morning. I'm aware of the time and I just wanna talk a few minutes about the sacrifice. The first thing we see in the scripture is the reality, the reality of the sacrifice. I gotta admit, if I'm reading the Old Testament, it seems a little bit foreign to me, the concept. I have to remind myself that this is a schoolmaster. That's what the Bible calls the Old Testament. It's something to teach me about the Lord Jesus Christ. We look and we wonder, why would God call for so many sacrifices? Do you realize that if there never had been sin, there would never have been the shedding of blood? There had never been the need for that first sacrifice. The first thing that happened when Adam and Eve sinned against God was God killed an animal and made them coats of skins. There was a shedding of blood. Romans tells us without the shedding of blood there is no remission of sins. And so we see the picture there that God must shed blood to cover the penalty of sin. But I want you to see the reality of the sacrifice in Hebrews chapter 10 and verse 1. It says, for the law having a shadow of good things to come. The Old Testament was a picture of the coming Jesus Christ. It was a shadow or a foreshadowing. But it was not the very image. It was not the same thing. It was a picture of the coming Christ. It foretold the coming Christ. It was a shadow of the coming Christ. The people would get excited, and they would pray, and they would read their scriptures, and Isaiah would prophesy, and others would prophesy about the coming Messiah, and they would look forward to the day that the deliverer, the Messiah, would come. But it was not the same thing. The Bible says their sacrifices were insufficient. He says, it says, can never with those sacrifices, in verse one, which they offered year by year continually, make the comers thereunto perfect. The word perfect means complete. It wasn't enough to finish the job, it wasn't enough to bring us into that perfect relationship with God, it would take faith. Verse two, for then would they not have ceased to be offered? If those sacrifices were good enough, Wouldn't they just quit offering them? Wouldn't they stop making the offering? But it wasn't. The people continued in their sin. I want you to notice, first of all, as we think about the reality of sacrifice, the first thing we understand about Jesus Christ from this passage is that it was necessary. It was necessary. You know, I've often wondered about the stupidity of war. I don't say that flippantly, and I don't say that so that the teens would run around saying stupid all the time. But war is the stupidity of war. I often wonder what people are thinking. I often wonder what these megalomaniacs are doing and these madmen are thinking and willing to kill millions of people for oil, for some other silly thing. To fight and kill one another because, well, you don't believe how we believe, so we're gonna kill you. Kill the infidels. War is often thought of as a foolish thing. Why must so many give their lives to ensure our freedom? Why can't people and nations just simply get along? But then I read in the Bible about the ruler of this world. The prince of the power of the air. And I understand the demonic presence in our society. And I understand that we will never have peace as long as he is the prince of power of this air. As long as he is the ruler of the darkness of this world. As long as Satan has a voice, there will never be peace on this earth. And so we must fight. Our men must go to war. Our women must die alongside them as they ensure our freedom. But you know, it's the same way in the spiritual realm. The Bible says, for we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against spiritual wickedness in high places. That old devil's roaring about like a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour. There's a battle that we find ourselves in. Romans chapter six and verse 12 tells us about the greatest enemy. It's this, let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body. Years ago, when our children were little, we were sitting at dinner. Emily, I guess, would have been about six or seven years old. And that would place Austin at a four or five years old. Austin was always our comedian. You could never look at a picture of Austin at that age where he didn't have a funny face. He didn't have the thumbs up with his tongue out. I mean, he just always was a clown. And we were sitting at dinner, and Emily was always kind of like a little mother. You know, she would mother over. She's giving me the stare right now. I'm getting the mother look. She would mother over the little ones, Austin and Bethany. Now, Bethany, tie your shoes. Did you brush your teeth? And she, just like I did, she'd just be a little mother to them. And she was picking on Austin at supper about something. I don't know what it was. Did you get your homework done? Did you do, I don't know what it was. And he spoke up and he says, would you blame it on the devil and give me a break? I don't know where that came from, as a four-year-old or a five-year-old. But you know, isn't that our habit? Let's just blame it on the devil. Well, I think the devil gets too much credit. The Bible says, let therefore not sin reign in your mortal body. In other words, we're allowing sin to take control. The Bible also says, resist the devil, and what? He will flee from you. He has no power over the Holy Spirit. We are blood-bought, we are children of God. And just a little bit of resistance will set him to running. We're in a battle. Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that you should obey it in the lust thereof. We are subject to a sin nature. We are creatures of the fall. Let's take heed when we stand, lest we fall. Pastor friend of mine is struggling right now. He has a son that's in his 20s and he's an alcoholic. Raised in church his whole life. Heard the preaching of the word of God, just as sure as the other children, the other teenagers in the church. The other kids are doing well, married Christian spouses doing fine. He had this one young man. I sat down with him, I said, how does that happen? And I said, I'm not judging you. I said, I just want to learn, because I said, I have four kids too. And I said, I want to know. He said this, he says, every one of my children have a sin nature. Every one of them are vulnerable to sin. He says one of them made a bad choice. And now sin reigns in his mortal body. That's why Jesus Christ's sacrifice was necessary. That's why Jesus had to die. Because the blood of bulls and goats were just a picture. It was not enough, it could not perfect us. Jesus offered himself that we might have the victory over sin. His death was necessary. I want you to also notice it was substitutionary. The Bible says in Hebrews chapter 10 and verse 10, by the witch will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. Do you notice what it says? We are sanctified because of his sacrifice. He died in my place. Do you know that in most places I am justified and I'm sanctified if I am deemed correct because of the retribution I have made? You understand what I'm saying? If I were to wrong Brother Lamson down here in the middle, if I were to do something wrong to him and I would go to him, I'd say, listen brother, how can I make this up to you? I'll take you out to Swiss Chalet, I'll buy you a nice chicken dinner, and you're gonna make something up now, aren't ya? And if I were to try to make it, I would be forgiven based on the virtue of me coming to him and trying to make it right. But the Bible says, I am made right, I am sanctified based on his sacrifice. Isn't that something? I can't go to God and say, well God, what can I do to make this right? How can I remedy this sin problem? There was nothing. Jesus Christ offered himself in my place. The holy, spotless Lamb of God substituted for me. Look at how things transpire here. I've got to turn back a page, maybe you don't. Hebrews 10, verse 6. The blood of bull and goats could never take my place. In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin, thou hast had no pleasure. Well, that can never take my place. If God has no pleasure in it, That's not going to help me, is it? That's not going to pay the price for my sin. Well, what about my self-righteousness? All my righteousness is about filthy rags in the sight of God. Now I'm really in trouble. There's nothing that can cover my sin. They were just a picture. Hebrews chapter 10 and verse 1. They're a reminder of sin. Look at verse 3. But in those sacrifices, there's a remembrance again made of sins every year. And they could not cleanse of sin, verse four, for it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins. Those who sacrificed a bull or a goat were not saved or justified by the sacrifice, but by faith, Hebrews chapter 11. Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, for the evidence of things not seen, for by it the elders obtained a good report. The sacrifice didn't help them. But look what the scripture says about Jesus, verse 11. And every priest standeth daily, ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins. But, how many of you know when the Bible says, but something's about to change? Isn't that good? For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. The Bible says in verse 12, but this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down on the right hand of God. How many of you have ever read about the furniture in the tabernacle or the temple? If you read your Bibles, you come across it. Do you know there was no chair there for the priest? Because the moment he stepped into the holy place, and once a year would go into the Holy of Holies, his work was never finished. He would offer blood of bulls and goats day and night. He would work throughout the entire time. But Jesus Christ sat down because He was finished. The work had been completed, the sacrifice that Jesus Christ died in your place was perfect. Verse 13, from henceforth expecting till his enemies be made his footstool, for by one offering he hath perfected forever them that are sanctified, whereof the Holy Ghost also is a witness to us, for after that he had said before, this is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord. I will put my laws into their hearts and in their minds will I write them, and their sins and iniquities will I remember no more. Every year, in verse three, it says, the sacrifices were a remembrance. But now Jesus said, because I died, your sins and iniquities will I remember no more. Isn't that a wonderful promise of God that because of Christ's death, we can be free from sin? Now where remission of these is, there's no more offering for sin. Once for all, O sinner, believe it. Once for all, O sinner, receive it. And then a wonderful old hymn that says, once for all. I want you to see also, not only was it substitutionary, I want you to see the result of this sacrifice. First of all, we see the perfecting of the saints. Verse 14 says, for by one offering he hath perfected forever them that are sanctified, complete, made whole. Now we can trust in the death of Jesus Christ, the burial, his resurrection, to know that we are eternally secure in our salvation. Because Jesus Christ died. The result of the sacrifice was the perfecting of the saints, but it was also the remission of sins. Look at verse 17. And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more. Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin. Remission means to be released from the penalty of. I never have to worry about paying for my sins. There's a bit of confusion today. Everybody will say, well, one day we're all going to stand before God and we're going to stand before the judgment. Absolutely you will. The Bible says it is given unto men once to die, or it is appointed unto men once to die, and after this, the judgment. We will all stand before God, but let me say this, that is a judgment of your works since you were saved. Will they endure as gold, silver, and precious stones, or will they burn as wood, hay, and stubble? When God comes to me and wants to judge me for my sin, all I have to do is point to Jesus Christ. All I have to do is stand there clothed in the righteousness of Christ. I am protected and forgiven. There's no more remission of sin. There's no more penalty. The Bible says, who is he that condemneth? It is Christ who died. We don't have to worry about that. There is therefore now no condemnation for them that are in Christ Jesus. Our sins have been forgiven, they've been paid in full. And then we see also not only is there the perfecting of the saints, the remission of sins, we see there is reconciliation to God. Look at verse 19. Who could go into the Holy of Holies? Only the great high priest and only one time a year. If anybody was to offer anything to God at any other time, they would have been struck dead. We see Nadab and Abihu who were fallen just because they offered strange fire unto God. God would allow nobody past that veil. But the Bible says now because of the blood of Jesus Christ, we can enter into the Holy of Holies. You know what the Holy of Holies was? It was the very presence of God among the people. Now I can go and meet with him. You say, is there a veil still in place? There sure is, look what the Bible says. Verse 20, by a new and living way which he hath consecrated for us through the veil. What veil is it? That is to say, his flesh. Jesus is the veil. Doesn't the Bible say something like, I am the way, the truth, and the life, and no man cometh to the Father but by me. God is still in the Holy of Holies. Anywhere he is is the holy place. But to enter in, you must come through Jesus Christ. That Old Testament veil was rent from top to bottom the day that Christ died. But Jesus Christ took its place, and now you must come to the Father by Him. He's the sacrifice. The sacrifice was necessary, it was substitutionary, and as a result of it, we see that we can be perfected and that there's a remission of sins, but you can be reconciled to God. Verse 21 says, let us draw near with a true heart and full assurance of faith. Come to Him. He shall in no wise cast you out. Christ died with a purpose, a sacrifice for our sins. A sacrifice is that which is offered to God for the benefit of others. Jesus died for the sins of the whole world. When a sacrifice is made by a soldier on a foreign field, and more recently at home in our nation's capital, there is still someone who took their life. Many died in France, Italy, Germany, and all points of our world, and we know that though they sacrificed, somebody took their life. The question sometimes arises, who then killed Jesus? Jesus gave his life, he offered it, but who killed him? As I was preparing this message, this old song, this old hymn came to mind, and I'd like to share the words with you in closing this morning. The chorus says this, Who killed Jesus many years ago? Who is guilty of a crime so low? Why did he have to die? What is the reason why? Who killed Jesus? I would like to know. Was it Roman soldiers with their tools of war? Driving nails through hands that did no wrong? Mocking and abusing, crowning him with thorns? All the evidence is very strong. Was it Pontius Pilate, he was governor, trying to decide the case that day, finding that the Savior had no fault of his own, was he guilty when he turned away? Was it Hebrew children, proud of who they were, shouting crucify him at their king, trading their Messiah for a common thief, turning down the kingdom he could bring? When I think of Jesus and the way he died, how upon him all my sin was laid, All the other people fade away from view. It's for me the sacrifice was made. I no longer wonder anymore. I have found what I've been searching for. My sin demanded hell. On him the judgment fell. I am guilty now it's plain to see that it was really me. Let me read that second to last verse again. When I think of Jesus and the way he died, how upon him all my sin was laid. All the other people fade away from view. It's for me the sacrifice was made. Let's pray today. Father, thank you for sending your son Jesus Christ to be the sacrifice for our sins. Thank you for allowing him to die upon the cross. It must have tore your heart out when he prayed in the garden to let this cup pass from me. It must have caused tears to fall from the heavens when he said, my God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? Yet he finished the work that you sent him to do. And he sacrificed his own life, offered it upon the cross of Calvary so that we could have eternal life. Thank you for dying in our place. Father, speak to our hearts during this invitation time. May we be thankful and praise you today. In Jesus' name we ask it. Amen. Let's stand with our heads bowed and our eyes closed this morning. If God has spoke to your heart and you're thankful today to the Lord, would you just spend some time in prayer? Maybe come to this altar, pray where you are. Maybe there's somebody here today, say, Preacher, I'm not sure I'm saved. I realize now that Christ died for me. His sacrifice was for my benefit. Could I pray for you today? Nobody's looking around. I won't embarrass you. Would you just slip up your hand? Is there one? Pastor, I'm not sure I'm saved. I don't want to die and go to a Christless eternity. I need to be saved. Is there one? Let Brother Baker sing the first verse of that hymn. What a great old hymn. Sing along if you know it. Jesus paid it all, all to Him I owe. If God spoke your heart, would you step out and come even now? I hear the Savior say, I pray for you. Sing on the chorus together, Jesus paid it all. Jesus paid it all, all to Him I owe. Sin had left the crimson stain, He washed it white as snow. Amen. God bless you for being here. You may be seated. Pastor McDonald's going to come and close our service tonight at six o'clock. We have another service planned for you. I hope you'll come and worship the Lord with us together. Just emphasize again. That first one, and that is the Anniversary Banquet. It is coming up next week, next Saturday, 6 o'clock. And please sign up if you intend to come, and I just sincerely hope everybody shows up. It's a great time. We're also going to have the special preaching, special music, the whole thing. It'll be a great time. Also, we need some homemade pies. So I'd like to emphasize that again. We can never get enough homemade pies. If we get too many homemade pies, we'll share them with you afterwards, okay? Me first, then you, and then we'll have a great time there. And also, also coming up because of this Christmas, we're in our home builder's class, we're already singing Christmas hymns. And you're going to get them all over the place. But the Christmas tree, Living Christmas Tree is going on again this year. And we would like to have, ladies, if you could please sign up as a voluntary nursery worker. We do need some nursery workers during that time, so please sign up outside the bulletin board, or on the bulletin board outside the nursery. So there's some important timely things. There's a lot of things going on, so please read your bulletins. Let's pray. Father, we thank you again for the message that was preached. We thank you so much for the sacrifice that was ultimately paid by Jesus Christ, coming to this earth, laying down his life for us, And now, Lord, we can have not only physical freedom as we have in this country, but also our souls are at liberty. We now know that our sins are forgiven. We know that we have a place of security in heaven. And we thank you so much for our great commander, Jesus Christ. Bless us now as we go our separate ways. Give us safety on the roads. And Lord, please return us safely back here again to worship you. For we ask in Christ's name, amen. God bless you now as you go.
