Amen. Well, turn your Bibles, if you will, to the book of Hebrews. The book of Hebrews. We've got all girls' class today. Amen. I love to see the land ones come on the bus. And it's great to know that they're under the teaching of God's word. Amen. And boy, if our nation, if everyone would have been under the teaching of God's word at that age, you know, But it's not the nation's fault that they weren't, it's the believer's fault. And a lot of believers had forsaken that, they had gone their own way, and stopped knocking on doors, stopped being a witness. But it's our turn now. And we can't focus on how people failed in the past. We've got enough failures of our own, amen? But we're going to be a witness today. So, Hebrews chapter 4, if you will, Hebrews chapter 4. And we're going to look at verse 1 through 6 here in our passage here today. We've been talking, of course, to the book of Hebrews. We've been discussing these truths to these things about how Christ is better and Christ is superior and he's our high priest and all of those things. And over the last couple of weeks, we've talked about how unbelief, it steals things from us. And last week we, I'm sorry, two weeks ago we discussed how there is a thief among us. And we talked about how a thief is unbelief and what he steals from us. And we talked about unbelief a couple of times thus far. And we're going to be talking a little bit about unbelief this morning as we continue through this passage here today. But we're going to see something here that each and every one of us should have in Christ. Yet many believers do not have this. And when I talk about this today, it's easy for us to say, well, I have that. But do we truly? Do we truly have what we're going to be discussing here today? Let us therefore fear lest the promise For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them. But the Lord... For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, as I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest. Although the works were finished for the foundation of the world, For we spake in a certain place of the seventh day on this wise, and God did rest the seventh day from all his works. And in this place again, if they shall enter into my rest, soon therefore it remaineth that some must enter therein, and they to whom it was first preached entered not in because of unbelief. I want to look at these verses here today, and I want to preach you a message that I have entitled this. The rest we find in Christ. The rest we find in Christ. Let's pray, and we'll get started here this morning. Dear Father, we come before you today. Lord, I do pray that you would help us today. Lord, that you would speak to our hearts today. Lord, each and every one of us, Lord, if we're saved, that we can find rest in you. Lord, we know that our eternity is in your hand. We know that if we trusted You as our personal Savior, that our eternity is quite literally resting in Your hand. But we know that's not something that can be taken away. Lord, as we go through our lives, Lord, we can have rest in you. We do not have to, Lord, be people of unrest. Lord, I pray that each and every one of us would learn from your word today, that you would teach us from your word, and that we leave here this evening with fervent witnesses for you. We ask all these things in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Amen. Here in the book of Hebrews, we see that in the first several verses, the word rest is used. And I believe if my calculations are correct here, the word rest appears 10 times in this chapter, but we only find it two other times in the rest of the book of Hebrews. This chapter that we're reading here is a book that mentions this word rest many times. But we're going to see here, it's a little different, references to the Lord of rest as it refers to the blessing of salvation and the rest from restlessness of sin. In Isaiah chapter 57 verse 20 we see the restlessness of sin. that is provided by Christ, we see in Matthew 11, verse 28 and 29, and then the rest that comforts us and refreshes us spiritually and eternally, and the rest that we will have as the ultimate rest, as the eternal experience in heaven. So we see all those different kinds of rest. as we study the Bible. Praise the Lord for the rest that we can have in Christ for our eternal salvation, because in this world that we live in, there's people that trust in all different sorts of things, but if they trust in anything besides the shed blood of Jesus Christ, they do not have rest of their salvation. It's not there. There are literally all of these different things, and I can only imagine what is going through their mind, the restlessness of night when they're there, and to know, because of their conscience, to know that they're not bound for heaven. They cannot rest in the fact that they're returning to the center of heaven. There's restlessness there. But we as believers, if you trust in Christ as your personal Savior, understanding that God sent His Son to die for you, and His Son paid your sin debt, and yet you could not pay it, and I could not pay it, let alone a good word could pay that for us. And if we see there that the Lord Jesus Christ came and died and shed his blood for our sins, he paid the sin debt, he died on the cross, he was placed in the tomb, he rose three days later, he is in heaven forevermore, he is our intercessor between God and man, and if we see ourselves as sinners and understand that he paid our sin debt, we trust him as our personal Savior, I understand God. There's no way that I can bring my way to heaven. I know that it's only through your Son. And may I accept you as my personal Savior. If you do that, then you can have rest in your eternity. We as believers can have that rest because we trust in Christ. There's much said about rest. Rest is a good thing, amen? When a person is not feeling well, rest is many times the best medicine. Just resting. I can remember my mom saying, and I'm sure many of you have heard this, or maybe you've said it as well, someone's not feeling well, and my mom would say this, you need your rest. Do you remember her saying that many times? Of course, when I was younger, I would say, rest, cruise, rest. And now, today, I say, rest. Lord, I wish I could have some rest. Amen? Rest is a good thing. When we rest, our bodies cannot function without rest. If we try to push ourselves too much and we're not resting the way that we should be, we find ourselves not thinking as clearly as we should be. We're not speaking as clearly as we should be. We're not using this as proficiently as we should be with all sorts of words. that we thrive, if you will, if we do not have our physical rest. We need a rest. And as much as we need a rest to physically function, We also cannot spiritually function without rest either. And I'm not talking about physical rest. Yes, there is. We need physical rest for our bodies, and there are the ones who are in the ministry who absolutely destroy their body because they refuse to take time for rest. And I'm not saying that's a good thing. No, there needs to be a balance there. We may be lazy for the moment, I also need to take care of the temple of the Holy Spirit that we have, that we have been given from God, that we need to rest. But spiritually, church we need to rest. We need to find rest in God. I'm not talking about, I'm just sitting here and doing nothing. No, that's not the rest I'm talking about. Notice here, as we read in Hebrews chapter four, verse one and two, notice first of all this morning, about rest, the learning about rest. There it is. As we continue to discuss chapter three here, We were talking about when the winds came out of Egypt, of course, there was sun there. I'm going to leave it here just for context. It says, for some, there apparently prevailed Calvary, but not all of it. It came out of Egypt by Moses. There apparently, 40 years, was it not with them that it descended? His carcasses fell in the wilderness. It alludes more to he that not only to his rest, but to them that believe not. So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief. And we'll notice verse four here. I'm sorry, verse one in chapter four. It says, let us therefore fear. So we see that in the end of chapter 3, it says that these men, of course, they cannot enter in because of unbelief. And then here in verse 4, in chapter 4 verse 1, it says, Notice, as the promise was left of us, in turn to his rest. What does that speak of? Well, that speaks of the rest of God. It speaks of the rest that we can only find in Him. Here in this passage, we have seen that fear is not always a bad thing. What we see here, it says, let us live for fear. We're told in the Bible that there are things that we should be fearful of, but then we're also told, well, God is not good, this is for fear, and some say there's no sense in the Bible, and it kind of contradicts it and says, well, see, the Bible is contradicting itself there now. You see, what it's saying here is, God is telling us that the things that we should fear are godly fears. The things that we should understand to become reverence of God, this fear that we're talking about here, we're talking about verse 19. Why? Because our Heavenly Father cares for us. because we shouldn't say it. She has seen differences. And the fear, if you were to ask this world, what was fear? They would say, well, I had a fear of darkness. That's different than the fear that we're talking about here. Well, of course, a million of you know I cannot stand snakes. Snakes can stay out in the woods, and I can stay here. But if I go in the woods, I don't want the snakes to be there either, OK? They can do this, all right? But I'm just going to stay away from either one of them. I don't like them. They were in for the future Bible school. We had to get them to the pet store and get a fish, because they were swarming in line to get a fish. And we were in there, and understandably, they got these two. I don't know what they were. They were in these crates, or I guess they were fixers. I don't know. Something along those lines. But they were there, man. I'm watching these things. People are trying to trip the fish out for us and all that. So I'm watching these things run around. And I turned to my left, and in this cliff in here is this glass cage with this snake with its head raised about this high in the cage that he's just staring at here. I would not stand there. I wouldn't. If that glass had not been there, I would have looked for the closest shovel, amen? Here would have been a better. I don't do slips, okay? I always go right back. But the truth of it is, that is the kind of fear that the world calls fear. But what we see here today, we see fear. But then after that, we see rest. There's a fear that we as believers should have because of the risks that we are going to find in Christ. You see, if we do not fear this unbelief and this fear that we're talking about here, it's absurd and funny because we know We are living in the end of unbelief in a part of our life when we do not have the rest of this world that we are going to have. Yes, we are turning to self-trust in Christ, but the devil, he wants us to be in unbelief because he does not want us to live in the rest of God. He gives a warning about rest here. The Bible says in Proverbs 17 that the fear of the living is what? The beginning of knowledge. So is it good to fear or is it bad to fear? The truth is both of those statements can be true. We are to live in a state of fear in which we cannot allow the Lord to work for our lives, that we should fear the Lord, because the fear of the Lord is the risk that we should have as believers, that fear, that godly fear causes us to understand that without Him we are nothing. Our fear of the Lord should be good for our faith as well. Our fear of the Lord Our reverence for God should be a great graffiti in our feet for what's going to happen politically in our country. Our reverence for God should outweigh our self-bias that's kept us here across our land. We have to understand that this unbelief that we've been talking about the last couple of weeks and that sense of unbelief that we live in them and we are resting amongst them is impossible for us to rest in God. What are you resting in this morning? Where do you find your rest? You know, of course, this past couple of years we've seen the world rest in many things in the name of safety. And many believers have trusted man's word more than God's word, so yes, fear is something that is natural, but the rest that we can have from God and his wisdom only comes from fear of God and God alone. You cannot have rest in God. If you've continually just been out of shape, you couldn't fix things in this world. You see, because if we are focusing on God and His goodness in our lives, and that He has a reason for our lives, that's to keep us busy. We won't have time for these things that we're here for. If we are resting in God, then we cannot find our rest in something else. There is a learning about rest that we see in verse 1. Let us therefore fear. This fear that is talked about is the fear of the coming judgment. It seems as though, in today's day and age, that man, if ever he would have sought for the judgments of God, he would have asked people about the judgments of God. They look at it this way. If they believe in the judgments of God, they look at it as something that's going to be way out in the future. Church it should be today. When will you die? Love that tongue preacher. I'm still healthy, maybe still young. I've got a great doctor's report. I've got plenty of time. But do you? Because we have neighbors who have wasted their life in the unrest of the world rather than the rest of God. Why? Because they've got the commercial portion. Because they don't see the judgment as something that may happen today. Lord, help us. You do not have to fear the judgment that's what they come to come to ever, ever, ever, because you return to the Son of man. You return to the Son of man. You return to the Son of man. You return to the Son of man. You return to the Son of man. You return to the Son of man. You return to the Son of man. You return to the Son of man. You return to the Son of man. You return to the Son of man. You return to the Son of man. You return to the Son of man. You return to the Son of man. You return to the Son of man. You return to the Son of man. You return to the Son of man. You return to the Son of man. You return to the Son of man. You return to the Son of man. You return to the Son of man. You return to the Son of man. You return to the Son of man. You return to the Son of man. You return to the Son of man. You return to the I don't know what I'm going to do because you see, excuse me, one of the things that we don't, I don't think George Floyd works, I don't know, I don't think he gives because of his faith or because he works for God, but I'm trying to make these things in this world seem a lot more meaningful than they always are. You see, these things, those things don't matter in perspective of these things, but we don't see things in eternity. We see things as they are now. We want to focus on this. We want to focus on our careers, and our jobs, and our houses, and our cars, and our bank accounts, and all the things that when we get to heaven, things that are going to be worthy lives of God and absolutely nothing. Let's fear God. Let's live in that fear of God. We also see here another promise in verse one. This promise is not some promise that man makes to man. This is a promise in which Don is made to man. Notice here in verse one it says, let us therefore fear lest the promise you have left us enter into as well as you should seem to come short of it. Notice it talks about the rest of God, well how do we enter into that? By the promise of God, by accepting Him as your personal Savior. 1 John 5.13 it says, that ye shall know that ye have eternal life. That's what the Bible says. We know that as believers. I want you to turn over there to 1 John if you will. We'll read that here just for context. 1 John 5 verse 13 and 14. 1 John 5 verse 13 and 14. Where do we find our rest in this world? The Bible says that we can have confidence in the Word of God. We can have confidence in what God has said to you. He said, this is the confidence. What is the confidence here? Knowing that you have each other, each of each other, none of us as believers. I notice he's worsening this here. He says, do not rest in the fist of the Lord. Do not rest in the unbelief of this world. Rest in the goodness of God. Rest in the peace of God. In the light of God, because God is your God. Take rest in that. This promise that we have from God is a promise that speaks of opportunity. Each and every one of us will know that we are good stewards of everything that's entrusted to us, and therefore we should be good stewards of our spiritual opportunities as well. Because we have this promise of entering into the rest of God. Remember him. The pyramid of the book of Hebrews is speaking to believers here, and he's speaking to believers as he's doing that here, and no one says that, well, I know you've chosen Christ as your Savior, but if you don't live in the peace of God throughout your life, you're going to fall short. That's not what he's saying here. What he's saying is that he's saying that you've trusted your personal Savior. And it's the same truth that we've been discussing since this last chapter here. The same as Dave. He says, you're unbelievers and he says, keep you from living in the rest of God. That rest that only God can give. Hebrews 11, verse 6, the Bible says this, but without faith it is impossible to please Him. Come unto God, there's no need, but He is, and there's a rejoinder of men that diligently seek Him. It is impossible to diligently seek God without living in the rest of God. If our eyes are on this world, we're not living in the rest of God. If we're fighting in this world's philosophy, then we're not living in the peace of God. without faith, you cannot enter into eternal life, and after you are saved, you are set free, you cannot live on this earth in the rest of Jesus Christ. You see, of course your eternity is settled after you are saved, but that does not mean that you automatically just live as lost as you used to in this world. Because of that sin of unbelief we've been talking about the last couple of weeks. Notice the book of Psalms, chapter 95. Psalm 95. Here in Psalm 95, you can hear 7 through 11, if you will. Notice the Bible says this in Psalms 95 verse 7-11, it says, For he is our God, and we are the people of his pasture, and the sheep of his hand. Today, if you will hear his voice, harden not your hearts in the day of provocation, as in the day when I took passion in the wilderness, when your Father was tempted me, proved me, and saw my work forty years ago. I have laws that I bring to this generation and say to the people in the heart that they have not known my ways. I'm declaring this war in my wrath that they should not enter into my rest. Notice in verse 2 here of our passage in Hebrews, it says, "...for unto us the gospel preached as well as unto them." Do you know what the word gospel means? It's for gospel news, good news. Praise the Lord that the good news that has been declared unto us, the good news of this promised land, it was declared to the Israelites, and the good news of salvation has been declared unto you and me. That's the good favor that God has given us. But the ones who are not allowed to enter into that promised land, here on earth, they cannot partake of the rest that we are discussing this morning. Notice this rest that I'm talking about is not the rest that we're going to find in heaven. I'm talking about the rest that we can have in this sin-sick world. It's only found through Christ. If we allow the sins of unbelief to rule our lives, we'll not have the rest that God desires us to have on this earth. Notice not only the favor that we see was mentioned as mentioned there, but we also see that the failure there goes to the Word of God. It says the Word of God was preached, it was sounded forth. But notice there it says that because of unbelief, of course, they failed there. We see that it's not for fear. And as we get down to verse 2, it says, for them just was the gospel preached as well unto them. But the word preached should not profit them, not being mixed with faith that hurt it. Were they not in wrath because the truth was not given to them? No. It's because they didn't believe it through faith. We can come to the house of God and hear the Bible preached over and over and over and over again. Without faith, it's going to be absolutely no good. Without faith, it's going to be absolutely no good. Without faith, it's going to be absolutely no good. And then God can bless our lives with the truth of His Word. Notice, first of all, we saw the warning about wrath. Notice, second of all, we see the way to wrath. Here in verse 3, we see, for we which have believed, you enter into wrath. And He said, as I have sworn in my wrath, they shall enter into my wrath, although their works are finished from the foundation of the world. No matter where someone tries to go, they always follow a certain route to get there. If we were to tell someone that if you're going to leave here, you're going to go. If you're going to go to do that concrete goal, we're going to tell them to pull out of your tent, take a left here, and follow that alley that's going to take you to the concrete. That's the route that we would say they need to go. That's at least the start of their journey. You see, when we get saved, we enter into eternal rest, and praise the Lord for that. We have that wind for us in heaven. But that's not the end of our route. When we get saved, that's the beginning. It's a route that we're taking as we go to heaven. We know that we may be in a sudden force, and because that's waiting for us, that there's things that we must do, there's places that we must go, there's works that God wants us to do, and it's our right to be saved because we are saved. That's the way to rest. Believing in Christ and our Lord and Savior is the beginning of the journey. We see here in verse 3 another proof that when a person accepts Christ as their Savior, it's impossible for them to fall out of the way of salvation. It says that we which have believed do enter into rest. It's going to happen. We're going to enter into rest. Through the context of this rose, we can see that God swore in His wrath that the ones who did not believe cannot enter into rest, but the ones who do believe would enter into rest. The rest that we see here in this rose, notice, is compared to the repair which God had after creation. There in verse four, after the rose was finished, for the foundation of the world, after everything was completed, after God, after He had never again dealt with His wounds, just saved and served, we see that God Rested. So we see this rest here was complete after the work of God was finished in creation. But you know what we see as well? We see that God did not rest until the work was done. What we see in today's day and age is this. We see a lot of believers who are resting before the work is done. They're not talking about the rest that we can find in Christ, but that's something that we have as we go through the work. As we move out, as we're doing the things that God wants us to do, as we're starting this year for the night, that's a rest that we can have, but there's a lot of believers out here today that are in their beds, and spiritually, spiritually, they're tired, and they're kicking back on the beach somewhere, and they're saying, I've got everything that God wants me to do, and now I'm just gonna coast in this world. That's never the case. If you still have breath in your heart, if God has someone that you can tell about the hospital, you have something to do. And so, yes, we can have our rest in Christ, but there's work to do. I thank God that I have been able, I thank God that I am able to stay, I'm going to stay in the first place for the second day of this life, and God can bless the second day from all His works. And the work was done. God rest him, God rest him. You're the road to rest. Follow God's plan. Do the work that God has given you to do. I have to do the work that God has given me to do. The rest is not something that just comes to someone because they have the title, pastor. Well, they're obviously resting in God. They should be. I'm a man just like you are. Each and every one of us, we find that rest in God. We can only find that when we're doing what we're supposed to do. Lastly, notice not only is not a warning about rest at all, there's not a way to rest, but notice also the runs in the rest. Notice verse five and six here, it says, in this place again, as they shall enter into my rest, seeing therefore, when they have done some that's entered in and made to him that was first preached, entered not in because of unbelief. I want you to turn over to Psalm chapter 95 again, if you will, Psalm chapter 95. During Psalm chapter 95 we just read these passages here and I want you to notice what we see here. The spouse has been saddened, of course, has been quoted, has been referred to in this chapter, in the previous chapter, because it's over and over again, God is saying that these Israelites, because of their unbelief, here on earth, they could not enter into a rest, they did not have to pay for that. God said, look, there's a place that is full of the American hungry, there's a place in which you can live to rest, because these people, they refuse to believe in God, they refuse to I've followed God's plan. I've followed everything. I've followed the plan of the fire by night and the cloud by day. I've been fed by my neighbor from heaven. I have water that can be in my lap. I have shoes in my pants. I've crossed the Red Sea on dry ground. I'm trusting in my knowledge first. And God said, because of that, you will not have rest on this earth. You know what we see? We see some other ones. Better there. The ones that we see in the rest are the ones who were like Caleb and Joshua. The ones who said, yes, there's problems. Yes, there's difficulties. Yes, there's things that we're going to go through. Yes, there's battles that we're going to face. Yes, there's mountains that we're going to climb. Yes, there are giants that we're going to meet. Yes, there are all of these things that we're going to come to. And we're going to go through those things. We all don't because God has provided this for us. What was the difference between that group and the group that couldn't enter? What they were resting in. That was the difference. You see, this group that entered into the canyon, crossed the River Jordan into there, They had battles, but they had rest through those battles. The rest they found in Christ. While the other ones wandered around for 40 years, wandering in the desert. The Bible says the carcasses fell in the wilderness. I don't know about you, church, but I don't want to be remembered as someone who spiritually felt committedness. I want to be known as someone who people know that I rest in the will of God. I have the peace of Christ. I have the identity of life. I don't want to be the one who people look at and they say, he's not resting in God because look at all the complaints and all the things that he's saying. That's not what he's known as. I want to be the one who was like Caleb who, when he was 80 years old, he still stood up to it. I want that mountain. Why did he say he wanted that mountain? He said, because God has promised me. He said, God has given it to me. It's already mine. I don't have to go and take it. Even at 80 years old, he was still living in the rest of God. And we can as well. It's my hope and prayer that everyone in this room has trusted Christ as their personal Savior. If you have, you'll spend eternity in heaven, but you've never trusted Christ as your Savior. If you've never done that, if you've died in that, if you've died in that, spend eternity in heaven. You'll be separated from God for all eternity. You will not have the rest on this earth either, because that rest only comes from Christ. Trust in Him today. I'm not up here saying that if you trust in Christ, your issues go away. What I'm saying is if you trust in Christ, if you trust your personal Savior, you have someone that goes through the trials with you. That's something we all need. But if you're here today and you are saved, then know that you will enter into this eternal rest in heaven. And there that rest is on the horizon of Jesus Christ. You come back. There's very little. We have so much work to do. We cannot do. We cannot do. Our rest in God is working. Because there's work to do. Even though, even though we're going to get some trials and tribulations and tribulations that are just going to happen in the symptoms. So many times we can't tell them, we can't tell them, we can't tell them, we can't tell them, we can't tell them, we can't tell them, we can't tell them, we can't tell them, we can't tell them, we can't tell them, we can't tell them, we can't tell them, we can't tell them, we can't tell them, we can't tell them, we can't tell them, we can't tell them, we can't tell them, we can't tell them, we can't tell them, we can't tell them, we can't tell them, we can't tell them, we can't tell them, we can't tell them, we can't tell them, we can't tell them, we can't tell them, we can't tell them, we can't tell them, we can't tell them, we can't tell them So many times we carry a weight around that we do not have to carry. Last word, Savior, we've trusted Christ, you are our Savior, but yet we're keeping the weight on our own shoulders. It doesn't have to be that way. Give it to God. Council upon Christ. was a driver of a Carabo wagon on his way to the market, and he came upon an old man who was carrying a heavy load, and having compassion on him, the driver invited the man to ride in the wagon with him. Gratefully, the man accepted that ride and walked the rest of the way. After a few minutes, the driver turned to see the back of the wagon, and now the man was boiling. To his surprise, he felt that he was still straining himself, and he was heavy-weighted. I still saw this man, and he was still straining himself. Why was the man straining himself in that way still? Because even though he was riding in the tail, riding into the market, the men refused to put their feet in the wagon, and let the wagon carry that man. And many believe in you in the same way. Trust in Christ, in your personal Savior, but you're still carrying the weight of the past. It doesn't have to be that way to church. You don't have to carry the weight of all those yesterdays, all those things that the devil's going to try to discourage us with, and all those things. But when the devil comes, when he tries to pull your shoulders towards the Lord, all you've got to do is say to him, he says, cast those things upon me. We don't have to carry those things on our own. We can give them to God. Many times we're as guilty as this man was. We have our right to heaven, so to speak. We know our eternity is set, but yet we're carrying this weight still. Still buckling under this pressure. We cannot do the work of God that we're called to do in this world because of this weight that we're carrying on our shoulders. Give it to God today. This man took the ride, but he refused to set the wave down. He refused to rest. Lord, help us to rest in you. It may be here today, it may be in the carrier, it may be in the past. fear of what may come in the future, maybe future issues or some drama that was caused by what someone has said or the way someone has acted, maybe it's a financial issue, maybe it's a health crisis, whatever it may be, it's keeping the peace of God, because I don't know what you're supposed to be, I don't even know the peace of God, but the peace of God is not because Christ has taken away, but because the world can give it to him. We can have rest in Christ's church, but we must rest in Christ. You see, it's a decision that we make. Think of the prodigal son, if you will. Think of this young man who had everything that he could ever want. All that he could ever dream of. He was already a son. And he says, I want more. I want the experience. The Bible says this man left and he spent all that he had on a riotous living. He went out and lived a good life, didn't he? The world would say. But he finds himself in a pig pen. He finds himself eating the husk of the swine. And here's the decision he had to make. He came to the conclusion at which he said, even my father's service has it better than this. You know what he should have done? He should have said that I am a father's son, so I do have that going for me, but you know what? I've wasted so much. This is just going to be my cross to bear, so to speak. And he could have stayed there in the pig pen, always being that man's son. That's not changing. But he would have died in unrest. See, many of us as believers, when it comes to our life, we know that we're saved. But spiritually, we're living in the pig pen. And we refuse to go home, not because it's not our father, but because we think we've done too much. Church, I'm here to tell you that's not the case. Because when that prodigal son went home, he saw the Father standing there. Not waiting to give him a tongue lashing. Not waiting to say, where's my money? Not waiting to say, what are you doing? I've made mistakes in your life. I was not even seeing the Father doing that. But here's what we see the Father doing. Standing there waiting for him. And then he ran to him. And then he had a feast. Why did he do that? Because the Son came home. Because the Son realized that He has rest somewhere. And He went home to His Father. We as believers need to understand that we can have rest in this world. We don't need to live this life in unrest and turmoil. Let's have peace in God. It's the rest that we can have in Christ. It's something that God has given us. You know what we have to do? Just reach out and take it. That's it. It's there. It's like the gift of salvation. I can't save someone, but I can tell people about the one who can. It's a free gift of salvation. You just have to reach out and take it. The rest...
