today on the handout that I've given you. and uh... maybe try to get off a little bit into some of the fallen angels that's a whole study in itself when you look at devilology and look at uh... demonology and look at the fallen angels and things like that and it's a study that i can go into a lot more depth at a later time but I may just briefly touch on it because I mentioned a few things that about them that some folks had never heard before. And again, if you believe it a little bit differently, that's fine. Some of the areas when it comes to this stuff is not super clear in the Bible, but I believe there are some verses that would allow us to make some assumptions, I guess, about it. All right, so I believe we made it through the kingdom and we looked at the subjects of the kingdom. Is that right? All right, we looked at his subjects that consist of the angels, the fallen angels, the devils, and lost, those that are lost. All right, so next is his methods. His methods, and we're looking at Satan, and he's at work today, we understand that. But his methods, the first one is a deceiver. He's a deceiver. And we understand that that's what he does. He's an antichrist. We understand that as well. And we may get into some of that at some other time as well and do a study on the antichrist himself. But he's a deceiver. And so he's a liar. He's always been a liar. But he's a deceiver of the world. And so all those that he can, he's going to try to lead astray. The Bible tells us there in our text verse on the front of your paper, in whom the God of this world blinded the minds of them which believe not. And so he tries to blind those that are saved. He tries to deceive those that are lost. It doesn't matter. He is a deceiver. That's what he does. And those that fall for his traps, are in a deception. That's exactly what it is. They're entangled in his web of lies. Let me see. I want to look at 1 John 5, verse 19. I'm not gonna spend too much time on these methods here, because I'm actually gonna be preaching along these lines this morning. 1 John chapter five and verse number 19. 1 John 5, 19, it says, and we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness. He's the little G God of this world. We, if you're saved, thankfully, are of God. But the rest of this world, it lieth in wickedness. And again, I've talked about this before, the world systems, all the major universities, governments, all those kind of things, they're being controlled and they are deceived by the deceiver. He is in the business of blinding eyes and deceiving. He has preachers all over that preach another gospel. Paul warned about that. And again, there's a lot of verses with this stuff, but I'm trying to get through here. He warns about another gospel. So he has preachers preaching another gospel. Paul talks about the doctrines of devils. Right? These are things that he, the devil, has been successful in producing and putting out. And the Bible even talks about even the very elect being deceived. Right? That's in reference to God's people during the tribulation time period. And they're going to be deceived. He is a deceiver. He started off with Adam and Eve deceiving, and that's what he's still doing today. He is an instigator of a great apostasy. Peter talks about in the latter times. Look at 2 Peter 2. 2 Peter 2. This is all under the category of him being a deceiver. 2 Peter 2 and verse 1. The church in the last days has gone into apostasy. The Bible told us this would happen. And we used to say that that's where it's headed, but I'm telling you today, it's there. It's there. There's a remnant that is trying to do right and please the Lord and stay with the book and all that, but I'm telling you, the church as a whole has gone into absolute apostasy. I just read this morning where that woman, contemporary Christian music that everybody follows, Laura, what's her name? Daigle is singing at the Super Bowl this year with a rapper. I'm telling you, she's supposed to be a representation of Christian music. It's a problem. All right, 2 Peter 2.1, it said, but there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you. who privilege shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction, and many shall follow their pernicious ways, by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of." Without his name being mentioned, who's behind that? It's Satan. It's the devil. He is going to help usher in the great apostasy. False teachers are all around us. They're everywhere. It doesn't take 30 seconds looking on social media and you're going to come across a false teacher and a false preacher and false doctrine. And I know there are those who outright deny the virgin birth, the deity of Christ, the bodily resurrection, and all those kind of things that's even mentioned here in the text about denying the Lord that bought them. Those are all things that most people would say, I do not deny the virgin birth, or the deity, or the resurrection of Christ. But their doctrine leads to some of that. Their doctrine does not back up the deity of Christ. Their doctrine does not back up the bodily resurrection. There's things that are damnable heresies. And Satan is very subtle in his methods. And as I mentioned earlier, if it would be possible, he would deceive the very elect. And that's exactly what he's going to try to do. Do you know that Satan knows the scriptures? He knows the Bible. And he knows how to deceive Christians, followers of Christ. And you know what he'll use to do that? He's not going to use Satan worship. He's not gonna use some of the things that we would imagine that Satan would do to try to deceive you. He's gonna use scripture and he's gonna use music and he's gonna use all these things that we've talked about over and over and over again. He is going to try to spread false doctrine and heresies and try to get everybody mixed up and confused in everything they do because he's a deceiver. That's what he does. And you cannot believe every little thing that you hear. Go back to your King James Bible and get in the Word and find out if it's true or not. Find out if the Spirit of God bears witness with whatever it is. You cannot just immediately assume that it's of God because it has a Bible verse attached to it. And I'll go ahead and say if it's not King James, I'm gonna say it's not of God. And I do believe that with all my heart. For those that are a little more persuaded, maybe you won't fall into this category, but he has been successful in creating a lot of religions. The devil's behind those things. There's one true God. There's one God. There's one Savior. There's one baptism. There's one salvation. There's one faith. All of these other religious systems cannot all be right. There's one. And so he is the mastermind behind them. So if he can't convince you that there's not a God, he's going to create a bunch of opportunities for you to look at God differently. And so you have all these different, and listen, some of these may have begun out of the right motives. When you think about different denominations of faith, there are some that believe a lot like we do. They're a little different. And I don't believe that maybe Satan's behind every one of them. Now, God's not the author of confusion. And there's some people in other denominations that are just as saved as you and I. They're just messed up in their doctrine. And that's between them and God. But there's some out there that is just outright wrong. Evolution is wrong. There's no confusion about that. Evolution is wrong. Who do you think is behind that? Christian science is wrong. These are things that these people get into. New Age ideas and things like that. to satisfy the cravings of humans, because we're very, you know, as a whole, intellectual, and we want to know what's going on, and people are very intrigued by the spirit world. And so Satan's going to give them something to think about, and spiritism and things like that. Some of these other religions, If you've watched any of Spencer Smith's Third Adam stuff, I know we showed some of it here. Excellent stuff, because he goes off into some of the spirit world with these other religions. You know what he's doing? He's giving people what they're looking for. They're looking for a feeling, they're looking for something that they can experience, and he gives it to them. I believe Not all of them, because there's some of them that are just faking. But I believe some of the things that some of these other religions experience in the spirit world is real. It's just not the Holy Spirit. These people that are being slain in the spirit, speaking in tongues, some of that is really happening. But guess what the devil's given them? He's given them that experience. And I have talked to people before that have sat through some of that stuff and they felt something. And they told me, you cannot convince me that what happened wasn't real. And you know what I tell them? I'm not saying it wasn't real. But I am telling you it's not of God. On the authority of the word of God, it's not of God. But you know, if the devil gives somebody one of those experiences, it is almost impossible for you to convince them that what happened was wrong. Even with scripture. Guess what? The devil's a deceiver. He's good at what he does. Look at Deuteronomy chapter 18 real quick. And if I camp out on these, I'm never gonna get through here. Let's see. Deuteronomy chapter number 18. All right, Deuteronomy 18, look at verse number 10. There shall not be found among you anyone that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch, or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer, You know what every one of these have to do with? The spirit world. Every one of them. And I'll just say this anyway. Those two verses right there cover probably 90% of the Disney movies. That's what they live, that's the world they live in. Okay? And God told his people, I don't want you fooling with this stuff. Is that not what he said? I mean, that goes that that even goes into, hey, don't don't don't bring it into your house. And I'm not going to get off too big, too deep into that thought. But I am telling you to be careful because you could be introducing your children to something that they have no God never intended for his children to get involved with that stuff. and from a child, from a baby, watching some of those movies and some of those shows, you're introducing that to them through a cartoon, and one day he's gonna give them a little more, a little more dose, a little more dose, and then if they don't end up being an atheist and hating God or agnostic, they'll end up in a false religion. Those things are indoctrinating. I know we don't want to believe that at times, but it is. And you say, well, I watched it growing up and made it. Well, praise the Lord. You got some good Bible teaching and good preaching and all those kind of things. And if you do, you better, if you have that stuff in your house, you better have a very, very strong biblical presence in your home. But I would just try to err towards not having it. All right, let me see here what I want to skip over here. All right, he's a deceiver. Number two, he's an adversary. A-D-V-E-R-S-A-R-Y. He is an adversary. The war between good and evil began all the way back in the very beginning. It began whenever he was the anointed cherub that covereth, and he thought in his pride that he deserved to be worshipped. And then he was cast out. And so from that point on, he became an adversary. He became an adversary. And we're gonna look at the sworn and the message, but him trying to get an advantage. Him trying to get an advantage over us. Do you know what? He's trying to get an advantage over you, but do you know, he's not after you necessarily. He's trying to get at God. We're all pawns in this thing. And if he can destroy your testimony, what he's getting at, what he wants, is God's glory. And he wants to steal that from him. So there's a warfare between good and evil, began all the way back in the very beginning. Look real quick at Genesis 3.15. All right, when they're there in the garden and Adam's blaming Eve, Eve's blaming the serpent and the serpent didn't have a leg to stand on. All right, Genesis. That was a delay on some of them. All right. Genesis chapter 3 and verse number 15. Here's what God said. I will put enmity between thee and the woman and between thy seed and her seed. It shall bruise thy head and thou shalt bruise his heel. You know what that is? That's a warfare going back and forth. going to bruise your head and you're going to bruise his heel. And this has been going on ever since the beginning. He is an adversary of God's people. As you walk through the Old Testament, the history of the nation of Israel, you see him at work on just about every step that those children of Israel were taking along their journey with God. And it was a continual battle, a continual fight. He's a great adversary. His actions are against God's people in this battle between the two of them. It caused Satan to enter into Cain and murder Abel. And we're talking about some of the first people to ever walk on this earth. The Bible said that Satan is a murderer. He's here to steal, to kill, and to destroy. And so from the very beginning, being an adversary against God's people, Abel's murdered. So guess what? He gets a victory. Adam and Eve are kicked out of the garden. It appears like he got a victory. All these times that Satan appears to have gotten a foothold, based off Genesis chapter 3, a foothold on that heel of God, and then the sons of God came before God there with Satan and he got after Job and killed a bunch of his family and I mean we can go on and on and on. The flood, the flood was a result of wickedness being in this earth and so he is an adversary against God's people trying to get them to destroy themselves and to destroy each other. The Tower of Babel, he gets these folks to build a tower that they can try to reach the heavens. It's this ideology that he has that we can be little gods in His kingdom. And it's one thing right after the next. And we find that God calls out Abraham, the promised seed of Israel there. That's what I believe that seed is that it's talking about in Genesis. And God begins to build a people, but the devil fights against them every step of the way. But I'm thankful. We're celebrating the birth of Christ, and next Sunday, Lord willing, I'm gonna look at his birth and when he was born during Sunday school. But we see the birth of Christ, and at the death, burial, and resurrection, he defeated Satan. He won. It's over the wars. I know we're still fighting it down here and we're still having to resist and stand and having done all stand. But I'm telling you, God won. He won. We read the end of the book. I know where Satan ends up, but he's going to keep fighting and keep trying to get as many as he can before that day's over. But but but he's an adversary. He's an adversary that is not going to stop. First Thessalonians, Paul said that they wanted to go under the Thessalonians, but he said, Satan hindered us. How many times have you felt in your life that you were hindered, maybe not by Satan, but by a devil of some kind? He's out to hinder us. He's out to stop us. He is an adversary of God's people. All right, the last thing that I have is he's an accuser. He's an accuser. So he's a deceiver, he's an adversary, and he's an accuser. And as an accuser, he is continually Even we see with Job going before God, and he was accusing Job. He said, hey, if I touch him, if I touch his body, he will curse you. He tried to go through his wife to do it. He tried to go through these miserable comforters. Did I put too many dashes in there? Okay. He did it with Job, and I believe he'll do it with us. the accuser of the brethren. I say this all the time when I mention this, but there's a lot of people, God's people that are helping Satan out by being the accuser of the brethren. They'll be more than happy to help him, but Satan don't even have to do anything, because we're accusing each other enough. But that is one of his descriptions, that's one of his methods. So he's got this little kingdom that he's trying to build, and he's not gonna come about his subjects in a clean, fair fight. He's going to do it by deceiving. He's going to do it by deceiving them, by being an adversary, by trying to steal, kill, and destroy. And he's going to do it by being the accuser of the brethren. And he's that one, and I'll mention this again this morning, that likes to whisper in people's ears and tell them things. And I'll get into some more of that this morning. All right. 15 minutes. All right, his expulsion from heaven. Look at Revelation 12, nine. All right, so in the grand scheme of things here with Satan, he was up in the third heaven with God. He was the cherub that covereth. Sin was found in him, pride was found in him, and he was cast out of that third heaven. and took on the form of a red dragon. And again, we can look at all verses on that. He's known as Leviathan. So now he can be in that second heaven, swimming around in that great deep, and he can approach the throne, and I believe it's through that sea of glass. Again, some of this stuff is kind of speculation, but he was cast out of the third heaven. And so maybe through that sea of glass he can approach the throne and have a conversation with God, and one day he's going to be cast even out of that down to the earth. All right, Revelation chapter 12. And verse number seven, and there was war in heaven. Michael and his angels fought against the dragon, and the dragon fought against his angels. And this is something to consider when we're thinking about Satan, that the next verse says, and they prevailed not. They prevailed not. He is a powerful being. I know I'd mentioned it a couple weeks ago. They got this new movie coming out, and he's a friendly, jolly fellow. That's not who he is. All right, and prevailed not, neither was their place found anymore in heaven. And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent called the devil and Satan. I mean, just in case you didn't know, which deceived the whole world, he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. So God takes him out of that second heaven, out of the great deep, and casts him down to the earth. Okay, and so now they're restricted to the earth. And so this is his expulsion from the heavenlies, and you can fill out the blanks there on Revelation 12, 9 on your paper. Let me see what other verse I want to look at here. Yeah, look at Look at verse 10, And I heard a loud voice saying, In heaven now has come salvation and strength and the kingdom of our God and the power of His Christ. For the accuser of the brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night. Again, we find Satan communicating before God day and night, but now he's cast out. Can you imagine all of these people in heaven All of the ones that are there now and have been there since the very beginning that Satan has absolutely given a hard time to. And maybe they can actually see him down there and see him swimming around. And he's coming before God and accusing them and accusing them and accusing the brethren. And then they see him get cast down. And then they begin to rejoice. Because the Bible says here, and I heard a loud voice saying in where? In heaven. These are individuals in heaven that are watching this and they begin to have an absolute shout and fit. They begin to absolutely begin to rejoice and to praise the Lord. And there's other verses we can look at here in a minute if we have time. When Satan's kingdom gets destroyed and his church burns down, they begin to sing hallelujah and praise God up in heaven. They're doing all this. And if you're going to heaven, you may be able to watch all this. I pray you're saved, man. You don't want to be on the wrong side of all this. All right, Satan has been the accuser of the brethren all the ages, we've already looked at that. But all those that are overcome by the blow of the lamb, they're up there during this time and they get to watch this thing. All right, his incarnation. When Satan is cast out of the heavenlies to the earth, he's going to incarnate himself in the Antichrist. In the Antichrist, that's your blank. Okay, that is a whole nother study that I'm not gonna get into right now. We can do it some other time. But he is going to incarnate himself through the Antichrist. All right, here's what I wanna get to to finish up this part on him, his doom. Look at Revelation chapter 20. And these are just fill in the blanks on these verses. You know, one day Christ himself, before the new heaven and new earth, is going to come down and set foot on this earth again. He's going to come back, return to the Mount of Olives. At the close of the tribulation time period, he's coming back. And during that time, the beast, the false prophet, shall be cast alive into the lake of fire. Look at Revelation 22. And he lay hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the devil and Satan, and bound him a thousand years. Okay, so Satan will be locked up For 1,000 years during Christ's earthly reign, it's going to be that 1,000 millennial reign of Christ. He will be physically on this earth ruling and reigning. And there's indication that those that even now during the church age serve Him and love Him and all those things will get rewards, will get inheritances, and there's indication that we'll be able to rule and reign with Him and serve with Him. Just like the governments of this world are set up, you've got the president, then you've got all these mayors and things like that, and so it may be that we'll get an opportunity to serve somewhere under Christ. But, Satan's gonna be locked up during that time. And after, even with him locked up, there's still gonna be, evidently, activity against Christ, because there's gonna be nations and individuals that are still rebelling against Christ. and he's gonna be loosed. The devil is going to be loosed again, and you can read the rest of this chapter sometime. Verse seven said, when a thousand years expire, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison and shall go out to deceive the nations. Again, he's a deceiver. He's gonna go rally up the four quarters of the earth, Gog, Magog, to gather them together to battle. Okay, this is the great battle of Armageddon, this great fight that's going to go on. And verse 9 says, And they went up on the breadth of the earth to come past the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city. And fire came down from God out of heaven and devoured them. And they don't stand a chance. They don't stand a chance. Where do you think Hollywood gets all these ideas? Verse number 10, and the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone where the beast and the false prophet are and shall be tormented day and night forever and ever. His doom one day is going to the place that was created for him. The Bible said that hell was created for the devil and his angels. He's not there. physically in his body right now, but that's where he's going to end up. It was created for the devil and his angels. All right. And I mentioned another verse to you a second ago. Let me see if I find it. I don't have it written down. And there's so many great verses here. Look at chapter 15 verse 2 while I'm looking at All right, I don't remember where this verse is. Oh, here it is, chapter 19. Look at chapter 19, verse 1. Talking about his doom, I didn't have notes on some of this. All right, chapter 19, after these things I heard a great voice of much people in heaven saying, hallelujah, salvation, glory, and honor, and power unto the Lord our God. For true and righteous are his judgments. For he had judged the great whore which did corrupt the earth with her fornication that avenged the blood of his servants at her hand. And again they said, hallelujah, and her smoke rose up forever and ever. Then they began to praise God. And that's talking about his church. His kingdom, his church, he's got preachers, and one day all that's gonna burn up and be taken care of forever. All right, before I show this other verse here, does anybody have any other questions? Yes. Hallelujah, A-L-L. Okay. All right, anybody else? All right, look at chapter 12, verse 1 real quick. All right, I'm going to mention this briefly, and if I need to go into more of an in-depth study on it, I will. Chapter 12, verse 1, all right, and there appeared a great wonder in heaven, a woman clothed with the sun and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of 12 stars. Every one of these things are symbolic, and it's a whole other study. And she being with child cried, travailing in birth and paying to be delivered. Okay, I believe prophetically this is talking about the nation of Israel, okay, the nation of Israel. And this is at the time of the birth of Christ. And there appeared another wonder in heaven, and behold, a great red dragon. I mentioned earlier that he's a red dragon. All these verses, these cross-references show us this. And behold, a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns and seven crowns upon his heads. Now, the context here is a woman that is travailing in birth. All right, she's giving birth. And again, I believe prophetically, this is talking about the nation of Israel and the birth of Christ. In verse four, and his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and it cast them to the earth. And the dragon stood before the woman, which was ready to be delivered for to devour her child as soon as it was born. And so, I made the comment that there were angels that fell when Satan fell. There are angels that are chained up in outer darkness for right now until their judgment comes. There were angels that fell even after the flood because those spirits and devils are at work even after the flood. So these angels were evidently given some kind of free will to choose to worship God, and some of them followed Satan, and some of them fell, and there's devil activity in the Old Testament. But at the birth of Christ, and this is one of the references I use to teach this, I believe that there was another host of angels that fell. And here it says that there was another third. And the reason being is that these are not ones that originally followed after Satan when he fell, but these are ones that refuse to worship a man, Christ. Because he came, he was made a little lower than the angels. And they could not grasp or understand or accept the fact that they had to continue to worship a Christ that was lower than them. They could not handle that, and again, there's verses. Now, we know that these devils and these fallen angels, they would like to have worship also. In Colossians, we went over this in Colossians. We're going verse by verse through there. In Colossians 2.18, he talked about worshiping of angels. The angels would like to have worship too. These fallen angels, the ones that are not in submission to God anymore, they believe they're better than you, and they should be worshiped. Look at Matthew chapter 8, and the devil activity greatly increases After the birth of Christ, everywhere that Christ went, it seemed like he was facing another devil. And the activity ramped up. There is devil activity in the Old Testament, but you don't see it as rampant as you do in the four Gospels after the birth of Christ. Matthew 8, verse number 28. So they're angels that refused to worship Jesus Christ as a man. All right, Matthew 8, verse number 28. There's devils here. I'm in Mark. Matthew 8, 28, and when he was come to the other side in the country of the Gadarenes, there met him two, possessed with devils, coming out of the tombs, exceeding fierce, so that no man might pass by that way. And behold, they cried out, saying, watch this, what have we to do with thee, Jesus, thou son of God? Okay? Now, you can read this as many ways as you want, but these were devils that were fallen. These are fallen angels, and they're asking them, what do we have to do with thee? Okay? And then, they know their outcome. Look what it says, art thou come hither to torment us before the time? Like, they even know what's coming. Hell was created for the devil and his angels, that they knew it. But they said, what have we to do with thee, Jesus thou son of God? Right? They refused to worship him. And in the days of his ministry, we find this activity goes up greatly. What have we to do with thee? That shows us their refusal to worship him as an incarnate God. You know, the deity of Christ and the virgin birth of Christ are great attacks. against God. All right? And the devil's behind every bit of that, these fallen angels. So they did not like dealing with Jesus in this earthly state. They asked him if he had come to torment them before the time. They did not reject Jesus Christ as a redeemer because they didn't feel like they stood in need of it, and they cannot be redeemed like we can. I'm thankful that we can be redeemed and brought back and saved. They rejected Christ as an incarnate man. They prided themselves in their own excellence. And the devil and all the celestial rebels and fallen angels, they refuse to worship the Lord Jesus Christ in a bodily state. And so that's where I get that teaching on that. Again, there's a whole lot more we could go into, but that's all I'm gonna go through now. Does anybody have any other questions or comments? Yep, go ahead. Oh, absolutely. That's right. And again, there's other verses where it talks about Jesus being made a little lower than the angels. There's other cross-references we can use to see this that they just couldn't get. And those angels, they don't understand. They don't fully comprehend why God would leave heaven in a perfect place to come down to become sin for you and I. The ones that are still up there, they're just submitting to it. They don't fully understand it. Yes. Right. I feel this. right also things interested about that story even though he was incarnate in flesh they look at us and and you send us over there because i knew they were coming out that they were going to stay in in those those to the balsa there's two there that that they were possessed with devils so they knew they were coming out this and i can we go on this one and uh... that that's interesting Yes, they were still subject to the incarnate Christ, but they didn't like it. What have we to do with the... Alright, any other questions or comments?
