Oar, flesh does not equal body.
What is the body without flesh?
What is flesh without a body?

Incidentally considering what we were talking about below, are you suggesting flesh contains sin, - Whereas body does not contain sin?

Rom 7:24 O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the **body** of this death?

Rom 7:18 For I know that in me (that is, in my **flesh**) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not.

Looks like Paul uses them interchangeably.

Here's some natural law.
Homosexuals work against the nature of their own bodies.
Is 'sin' - *work* against the nature of the body(flesh)?

Gal 5:17 For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.
19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,

Rom 7:17 Now then it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.
18 For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing:

Rom 7:23 But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.

sometimes the elect act like reprobates, but I guess that's ok, because we are covered by the cross and so won't get punished.
just joking.
Not at all jpw. You are quite correct the elect can act like the reprobate we can observe this truth in the Apostles, for example Peter.

Being saved does not make us perfect as Paul teaches in Romans 7:14ff. There is conflict inside every one of us between the Spirit and sin (flesh), Galatians 5:17ff. The reality of that experience is that we have our eyes opened to see sin clearly, in action as it were.

The Bible brings to us many positive teachings about how to deal with our life as sinners, life in the sinful body. Paul for example teaches the elect;
Eph 4;22 That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts;
23 And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;
24 And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.
25 Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbour: for we are members one of another.
26 Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath:
27 Neither give place to the devil.

well church, how many have been teaching ROmans 13 means obeying obeying obeying!
time to rethink our junk doctrine!
"romans 13" by baldwin ....
Just because we perceive that this is a fallen and sinful world, it does not mean we reject the Bible at Romans 13 or any other chapter.

As Christians we don't fit into this world or its politics, but when God states quote; "Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God."
Then obey God and trust in Him to direct your life for His purpose - not yours.

2Peter 2:9 The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished:

The DOJ provides yet another example that the worlds government, politicians and bureaucrcy are antiChrist and antiBible. It should be no surprise to Christians anywhere that we will be persecuted. Jesus forewarned us that this would happen. Our task is to continue to follow the Bible and trust only in God.

The abomination increases in power in all the western nations. The battle is becoming more obvious.

Eph 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers ...

So Catholics are not alone in struggle to hold onto Maryology or whatever it may be. and you may get some here, who think its about being "Protestant" that saves them and in their folly, you may see their weaknesses
Your quote, "folly" "idol" and "weakness" appears to be that you contrive to frame the heresy of Roman with all other denominations. However that is beyond the purpose of God in history as illustrated by the Reformation. Again the Roman Catholics could be perceived to be the Pharisees of their day by virtue of their similarities in religious error. But God's purpose is to highlight sin and hersesy and make light manifest in darkness. Thus your forming papist unBiblical practices as idols analogous to Protestant devotions is besides being wrong, a misguided view of true church and worship. You have given too much credence to Rome.

between the Mus attacks and the western droans, it must be difficult to live there.
if the west and east were more civil kinds of people, what darkness must be there, oh the primitiveness of the western and eastern peoples.
Can you recognise the difference God has made between east and west and how that has come about, and developed in history?

America is Babylon.
Allah doesn't have to do a thing but sit and watch the child of the King give away everything to darwin and his socially evolved minions. watch as they lose their health to gms and synthetics, abort their kids and get taxed on their breath, get punished for using too many carbons (for farming or other rebellious things), get felt up at airports so tourism gets shut down, surveilled at every turn......
Nuh!! jpw

For one thing the muslim is not going to sit around and wait that long.

For another what is destroying western nations is Liberalism and apathy. Even if some muslims do manage to take over parts of western society within management level, they will not take over the common working man. Look at the muslin countries today the people are ignorant uncivilised and disorganised. The so called arab spring demonstrates this. After their little coup d'etat they can't get organised again.

The west's secret of success is that politicians and bureaucrats are irrelevant to our national management.
We the people know that politicians are superfluous and expendable.

Even if they do believe otherwise!!

socialist nanny states are not made of ignorant philisophical idealists. they use a scripted philosophy in order to attain their goals. just blaming things on liberalism is going to continue to divert our attention from what is happening. in this case, this is agenda 21. the next generation is being restricted in learning the independent trades
Aww no jpw you didn't vote Democrat did you?
Check behind the scenes jpw, Liberalism is destroying the world with the influence it has in governments, bureaucracy and institutions. Social policies are the effect not the cause!!
