The Church Must Gather

“ Amen ”
Thank you. We’ve been praying for your church since contacting you via email a couple of weeks ago. Since then, our 18 year old son who’s a member of thr rpcna has been banned from attending in person worship at the RPCNA church where he is in college... for a conviction against wearing a mask. My husband is an elder at our church, and wrote that session a long letter, using many of the same arguments you made in a sermon a few months ago. It was ignored and the session continues to ban him. As well as chastise for attending another church because that church doesn’t sing exclusively psalms. Talk about straining out a gnat and swallowing a camel. In the meantime, our session, where he is a member, has ignored the issue. I’m in complete disbelief at the state of the reformed church in America. I thank God for your ministry, because the churches around us refuse to listen or preach these great truths.

After listening to mohler’s bruefing on this, I’m DONE with him. He is very hypocritical, claims to be pro-life, yet I guess that’s only when it’s convenient for him. Also, he’s recently spoken out against CRISPR technology in one of his recent programs, yet fails to mention the mRNA aspects of these vaccines. I’d recommend you all to read what Personhood Alliance has published concerning these vaccines.

“ A balm to my soul ”
I homeschool like this. But lately I’ve been doubting and have been discouraged as none of my hs mom friends have stayed this course. I feel like an island, and while Matt 6:33 has been my anchor for years, the enemy has been hard at work on me lately. Thanks for this encouragement.

Interesting that they say “polio-like” symptoms... renaming of “eradicated” diseases has been a tactic used to skew the stats and thus falsely elevating the public’s perception of vaccine effectiveness. 🤔

“ Great Sermon! ”
Important sermon which links an enigmatic promise made by Jesus to Nathaniel and recorded in the gospel of John with an intriguing event in the life of Jacob recorded in Genesis. More evidence that the NT is the continuation and fulfillment of revelation begun in the OT.

“ Great Sermon! ”
So many disparate interpretations out there of Zechariah. This one rings true. I especially appreciate Mr. Hutchinson's careful bringing in of passages from Genesis, Isaiah, and John (as well as other OT and NT books) to support his interpretation. Gives me a lot to think about. Thank you!

I attend an acapella psalms only church. To briefly address the point/question as to acapella... in the OT worship service, the instrument/trumpet was only used to point to/begin the sacrifice. Since Christ is our sacrifice and a blood sacrifice is no longer needed, neither is the instrument. Ironically, I think of the bell ringing during the presentation of the eucharist in the catholic service...
anyway, since God never commanded instruments in the corporate worship service other than what was mentioned above, the acapella stance is that what was not commanded is forbidden.
There is a book by D.Prutow called Public Worship 101 that is VERY in depth on this issue.

That's a very abbreviated reason for acapella.

I do agree that there is such a refreshing simplicity of worship music done this way.

Well, she read from scripture. God's Word will not return void, but will accomplish what it is set out to do. Praise God His Word went out!!! As to her motives on reading it? I do not know. I do know that a Clinton administration would have not done this. May the Holy Spirit effectually apply the Holy Word and awaken hearts.

Praise God for prayer!!! I agree, would you rather Christians not pray? We should be praying at all times... and how wonderful to have a group to pray! I'm thankful that we have the liberty (bought with blood) to do so. Praise Him for leading our elected officials to come to throne of grace seeking his wisdom in ruling us.

I wondered this when this story first came to light a few weeks ago.... I'm a bit skeptical as to the truthfulness of the events as NK is known for forcing "confessions" to fraudulent charges. A recent example would be the Canadian pastor who was also recently sentenced. ...just wondering....

I'm thankful that we have places as Christians to go and take our children where the Word of God is not mocked... unlike most museums and national parks which are full of evolutionary propaganda. It's easy to judge what others should do with their money, but I think this is a Christian Liberty issue. Ken Ham's resources have for years been very helpful to us. Most Christians will spend part of their income on vacations and entertainment. I'm happy to have an edifying venue to choose from. I'm sure the proceeds from visitors are used in a more God honoring way than what a secular museum would be.

What he orchestrated is just amazing. I am disappointed in the lack of faith based motives in the article. Either it is selective journalism or Christ wasn't much of a factor???? From what I know of Lila Rose, I don't know that an article could be written about her that exempts her faith. Since this guy worked in her organization, perhaps he indeed does possess saving faith and the journalist just didn't deem it as important as "nightmare before Christmas" socks.....

Ladybug, I'm glad you have contacted her personally and hopefully will be able to assess on a personal level what she believes. That is loving.
I don't know if she shared the gospel with the sodomites. Generally, I've found that those who deliberately seek to make a scene by going somewhere where they know they will be denied when they will be served by someplace down the street, they are generally hardened to the gospel and perhaps it is casting pearls before swine. They tend to have another agenda. So who knows. If she did share the gospel would the media report it?
I don't know her, I don't know her heart, she hadn't been a household name long enough for me to accurately assess her fruits (like.. Say... Donald Trump)... So I'm just trying to be cautious and give her the benefit of the doubt until I know enough to apply 1 John principles in judging her fruit... Or lack there of. I ask myself this: if I'm wrong, would I rather be wrong by supporting a wolf in sheep's clothing, or would I rather be wrong by slaying one of the sheep? Tough issues and tough questions.
Ps-tough to compare her to JY as he is on here to personally interact with us posters. We see more of his heart by his answering questions, and we've "known" him for quite awhile. We can't say that for KD. I app

As for her rights, she is a civil magistrate in realm of her job description. She is upholding the laws which she was elected to uphold in the capacity in which she is able. According to Romans 14, my understanding is that we obey the government unless they forbid what God commands or command what God forbids. I think she is objecting the best she knows how... Perhaps the Lord has brought her to that position for such a time as this...

I'm only saying that we should be very careful in how we love our brother and should examine ourselves for logs in our own eyes first.
I love my sisters in Christ! I love what many of you have commented on here at SA in the past (especially and including MS and Ladybug). I find it edifying and encouraging. I'm concerned about where our country is heading. If it continues down this trajectory, we will all need the support of God's elect. Will we have it? Oh, I pray we will!

Ladybug,
Yes, I disagree with that denominational theology... If you carefully read what I wrote, just because someone attends a certain church does not necessarily mean they agree with every point of that denominational doctrine. It may... It may not... As for her individually, we don't know if she hold to each point of that doctrine. What we do know is that she claims Christ. She did not say she had a powerful testimony... That's not what I said. Someone else said it was a powerful testimony. My point is that there are judgements being passed upon her based solely on the theology of a church.... And she may not even believe those things. I have friends that go to a Pentecostal church who are most definitely saved and they do not agree with all of the doctrine of their church. I also know saved Catholics who do not agree with the Catholic doctrine, but have not left. My church's doctrine is psalms only and no musical instruments. While I love it, I don't believe it has to be that way... I'm sure there are a lot of us that don't agree with every single point of each denominational doctrine.

As for her "powerful testimony", she did not write those words, so criticizing her and dogging her about the power or lack thereof isn't fair. And furthermore, we don't know whether or not she shared Christ with others in jail or not. Do you really think the media would report that? I think we are on a slippery slope here... Satan doesn't have to work real hard to take down the sheep when the other sheep do the work for him...
