Great Sermon! Thank you, Pastor Gallagher, for the great sermon. I intend to listen to the entire series. "What about Israel?" has always been a question that bothers me. It seems like Pastor John MacArthur and ministries like Understanding the Times might not agree with your teaching. But so far what you have said resonates with me. Thank you for the gentle and charitable, but forceful, delivery. Blessings to you.
Good Sermon! This sermon was not too hot, not too cold, but "just right", as Goldilocks would say, concerning Billy Graham. Mr. Hey acknowledges areas in which Mr. Graham erred regarding the gospel, while reminding listeners of Paul's warning in Romans 14 not to harshly and hypocritically judge others in doubtful matters, inasmuch as all of us are desperately guilty ourselves. He also wonderfully quotes Jesus' admonition from Luke, the gist of which is that however obedient we may think we are, at the end of the day we should consider ourselves "unprofitable servants".
'A Careful and Balanced Summary'? I agree with most of the other commenters that Billy Graham was an ecumenist. Additionally, Mr. Graham seemed not to acknowledge the persecution of Christians in 20th century China and Russia. Sadly, his trajectory was downward, not upward, through the course of his lifetime. Greg Miller (also on SermonAudio) has a well-researched message on Mr. Graham.
