There is little joy in reading your posts; so just to help your compulsion to post another hundred by the end of the month, try some time in prayer and the word with the Great Physician first, and post about HIM for our edification and spiritual joy!
What is the Lord doing in your life, Jim?

then I am saved.
Authoritative teaching of the Roman Catholic church, so if you believe the Bible you are anathema accordingly...

Canon 12. “If any one saith, that justifying faith is nothing else but confidence in the divine mercy which remits sins for Christ’s sake; or, that this confidence alone is that whereby we are justified; let him be anathema.”

Canon 24. “If any one saith, that the justice received is not preserved and also increased before God through good works; but that the said works are merely the fruits and signs of Justification obtained, but not a cause of the increase thereof; let him be anathema.”

Canon 30. “If any one saith, that, after the grace of Justification has been received, to every penitent sinner the guilt is remitted, and the debt of eternal punishment is blotted out in such wise, that there remains not any debt of temporal punishment to be discharged either in this world, or in the next in Purgatory, before the entrance to the kingdom of heaven can be opened (to him); let him be anathema.”

Canon 32. “If any one saith, that the good works of one that is justified are in such manner the gifts of God...(look it up)

SO, Are you 'anathema', or still a closet RC?

Well, let me ask you a question. Can a practicing catholic that understands catholicism, be saved?
Any sinner can be saved - even you!

8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

11 Wherefore remember, that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands;

12 That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world:

Debates with "atheists," concerts, conferences, books, etc., nothing but the Gospel of God's dear Son, who is the wisdom of God and the power of God, will bring man to repentance. The Gospel is the power of God unto salvation. Only the Gospel.
The goodness of God is in the Gospel. He gave His son over to death because of us. The goodness of God leads to repentance.
Too many men are making names for themselves.
And just imagine this - debating with someone who attempts to convince us that God himself has not convinces atheists that He is. So a man, thinking himself to be wiser than God, makes the attempts.
If you listen to such debates is the gospel preached? Isn't the idea to let the deceived followers of the atheist Goliaths, who fill the halls, or listen to the debate in their 1000's be confronted:

1) That their Champion is full of holes.
2) That their own faith in evolutionism etc. has no evidence and based on a lie and one big hole.
3) Then they are faced with the gospel?

The point is that debates will be listened to by 1000's of proud sinners faced with the truth for the very first time, facts destroying their Champion and false beliefs; and in God's purpose and providence they do also hear the gospel of Christ!

There isn't going to be a so called millennial reign. That's Disney world along with the flying Christians rapture fiction.
Do you say that 'bad news' is saying the church is now defunct is correct? This is a premillennial belief, that the church will end its days on a severe downslide, before Israel is restored to favour with God Jehovah, and the times of the Gentiles be finished. If the church is 'defunct', then 'bad news' may not be a a-millennial.

I suppose now that the church is defunct in the US anything goes?
Beside destroying the authority that once could be called the church the Liberals have really destroyed all morals and decency in the nations.
Will the Democrat party return again to power next election? With all the iniquity and depravity they uphold perhaps its a foregone conclusion.
Are you saying that the church age is almost reached its fulfilment, and that the millennial reign is about to come in? This is good news indeed.

"The Education Secretary will this week send commemorative copies of the Bible to schools in England in celebration of 400 years of the King James Version"

Excellent news.

It is good that they are sending the Word of God Version as used by the Lord for centuries, instead of the word of Westcott and Hort the Anglican Liberals.

It saddens me sometimes reading the comments on these news articles. It is easy to sit in a study surrounded by books criticising those who don't preach Jesus Christ exactly how 'I would do it'.

Granted, discernment is needed and wisdom important, but who did you tell about Jesus today?

Getting something theologically skewed isn't the best scenario - but if that's the case do we gag the 1 week old convert who is bursting at the seams to proclaim the good news about his Lord and Saviour?

I like the video in that he unashamedly draws a line between his Redeemer and a church of dead works. I can't see anyone watching that not knowing afterwards where this guy's faith lies.

If only more people would leave the 4 walls of their study/church and speak about Jesus so enthusiastically!

For want of The Pill the marital fidelity was lost,
For want of marital fidelity the marriage was lost,
I can understand that for the want of marital fidelity - a marriage could be lost.

But your "for want of the pill - marital fidelity was lost"???

Are you stating marital fidelity depends on the pill, or lack thereof?

Homosexuality is not the destruction of marriage, family, denomination.... It is a sin. Sin is not the destruction of everything, it is the domain and power over mankind which is to be defeated by God working in the elect of God, the Christian Church. Thus we live in a fallen world and we have since Adam and Eve. But the good news is, "According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will" Eph 1:4,5.

1Cor 15:57 But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ
1John 5:4 For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.

The translators made no claim their translation was either inspired or perfect. Proof of this can be seen where they set variant readings and marginal notes in the text.

Isn't it sad that these two pals of yours, like you, clearly cannot trust in God.

God ordained and brought the Word of God into english in 1611, bringing the Word to the people.

AND Jim and his pals Ankerberg & Weldon - Can't believe the facts.

God in His providence used the Textus Receptus as the Greek text to be used to bring His Holy Bible to the nations.

AND Jim and his pals Ankerberg & Weldon - Can't believe the facts.

God ordained and in His providence and mercy brought to the nations the KING JAMES VERSION of His Holy Writ, to teach sound doctrine and preach the Sword of the Holy Spirit to the churches, for centuries.

AND Jim and his pals Ankerberg & Weldon - Can't believe the facts.

Jim it is so sad that you cannot trust in God to publish His Holy Word to the nations, to the churches and to the world.

Psalm 68:11 The Lord gave the word: great was the company of those that published it.

"Voters in Arizona and Florida have supported measures to defend the definition of marriage. A similar vote in California looks set to go the same way.
Meanwhile, voters in Arkansas have agreed with proposals to restrict adoption and fostering to married heterosexual couples only"
