The Holy Spirit will give us courage to endure in our faith and testimonythe Romans, the early church Fathers had a serious word with them, very serious. and here our teachers soften us up! Penned, your comment is both noted and I thank you for your wisdom.
The church is definitely being softened up I believe by the Purpose driven life, movement
I can't recommend highly enough the talks of Jacob Prasch you will find loads on youtube. He is God's man for this time, the most cerebral teacher on The End Times. Those who read this, I pray you look him up, your souls will surely be blessed and your SPIRIT awakened

God is sovereign, but I do not believe that Pastor MacArthur was actually saying that someone who took the mark would definitely be saved, but probably that God's mercy and grace are potential for anyone who would come, but only if the Holy Spirit draws him, which, of course, for someone who has taken the mark, is impossible.
What you say Chris is both right and wrong!!
You are 100% correct that once the mark has been received one is eternally lost.Wrong, in that that is actually what he said, I have listened to him saying it more than once. How one who claims to be a pastor/teacher and make such is a statement, to me is DELIBERATELY and dangerously leading his people astray. When you think of the stress that folk will endure at the time of tribulation, not only his local church, but across the web those that he has influenced with this heresy, if they are ignorant of proper teaching on this topic they will think it the easy way out to take the mark, because God will save you from it.
I cannot listen to or trust anything such as one as Mr Mcarthur comes out with. |

Also, the Great Tribulation is not just the persecution of true Christian believers, (and the Jews as well), by the Antichrist and his agents, but the most horrendous expressions of the wrath of God in natural disasters, plagues, removal of restraint from the evil one and his demons to torment the followers of the Antichrist.
This time of God's wrath is so horrendous, and what with those not taking the mark being faced with total starvation.
Yet God's Word tells us that the Church is not appointed unto wrath. I Thessalonians 5:9 Chris, I do think that you seem to be lumping the tribulation, and time of wrath together.
Tribulation comes first, at the end of it we will be raptured (post trib), The time of wrath, is after the tribulation.
We are not appointed to wrath, but, are promised the tribulation

Brothers and sisters in Christ:If we have been lax of late praying for our countries leaders, then, let's rebuke ourselves, and correct that now, also resolve to pray, As never before. Although the UK is about to undergo a general election, and I pray Mrs May is re-elected as prime minister.
It is imperative, that collectively we deeply pray, pray, PLEAD with God to surround President Trump with His Angels, to protect, to keep, and defend him from the fiery attacks of Satan and his cohorts, and finally to give him wisdom, given the problems of a divided US, only Divine wisdom is going to get him through his first term succesfully |
