Careful wrote: If you believe God creates people predetermined that they go to hell, irrespective of their sins, then whether you like it or not you are a hyper-Calvinist Mortals are "born" sinners they do not become sinners.God knows His Elect from the beginning indeed the very foundation of the world. "Eph 1:4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: 5 Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will" Are you now suggesting that God cannot tell the difference between those whom He has created elect - from those whom He has not elected? Does God's foreknowledge work in your theory? Rom 8:29 For whom he did FOREKNOW, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren." 1 Peter 1:2 Elect according to the FOREKNOWLEDGE of God the Father..." God Foreknows all mortals ~ The Elect being foreknown are obviously distinct in God's omniscience and foreknowledge from the non-elect. John 10:14 I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine." |

Careful wrote: And there we have it friends! The indisputable proof of Calvinism in John 3.16! As the Baptist's theological father put it "Calvinism is the Gospel." (CHS)"Careful" - You really need to get into a Calvinist church. They will teach you to read Scripture in the way it was originally written. __________ Mike wrote: Who created the tares, Satan or God? "Rom 9:21 Hath not the potter power over the clay, of the same lump to make one vessel unto honour, and another unto dishonour?"___________ Lurker wrote: What part of "The field is the world." didn't you understand? I understand the whole parable; Lurker. The term "world" does not mean everybody. EG "Jn 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son," # Whom GOD loves are the Elect. Ergo: "World" equals Elect. Matt 13:38 The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom" # "children of the kingdom" are the Elect whom God loves and draws during there lifetime to Christ and salvation. "Tares" Rom 9:21 - Two types created by God for His purpose. One "good seed" - One "Tares" |

Lurker wrote: Mat 13:36-44 Declare unto us the parable of the tares of the field. He answered and said unto them, He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man .... The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one; The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world Absolutely correct Lurker. This parable is really good Calvinism. "Good seed" = Elect of God. As we observe in the parable they are planted in a diverse world whereupon they will grow in Grace as the Elect of God and serve Him only. Note the reference to "seed" - thus planting which "BEGINS" the process of growing and flowering. NO human free will necessary. "Tares" = Satan's wee reprobates. We also note that Jesus teaches that Satan's tares planted with Satan's agenda, and in Satan's power the dominion of sin. Who as the Lord points out ..... "Rom 9:22 What if God, willing to shew his wrath, and to make his power known, endured with much longsuffering the vessels of wrath fitted to destruction:" God's Sovereignty and election/reprobation confirmed. John 3:16 Confirmed that ONLY the elect are loved. Who needs to love Satan's tares? |
