About the hills: Not every language distinguishes between a hill and a mountain. The Apostle John was a Jew. In fact, in Hebrew, the word "har" can mean either "hill "or "mountain." And there is another city built on seven hills/mountains: Mecca. Whether Mecca or Rome is the evil city, Islam has ties to Roman Catholicism in it's origins. Muhammad's cousin was a Catholic nun, for example. I'm no expert on any of this, but if you think of bible-prophecy as describing Islam, I can see it describing one or the other...or both. About the public's view of Islam: Most Muslims I've met are very friendly, some less than others. I believe God has given me (not raising myself up by any means) a sensitive heart for Muslim people. I am for keeping life sacred, including a Muslim's life. What I am strongly against is Islam. If I were to view Islam as warm, peaceful, and friendly, I'd consider myself a traitor to my country and my Christian faith. Islam wants to dominate and kill, so bringing "friendly" Muslims to America is just propaganda. |
