1 Corinthians 12:1-3
"Now concerning spiritual, brethren, I would not have you ignorant. Ye know that ye were Gentiles, carried away into these dumb idols, even as ye were led. Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed: and no man can say that Jesus is Lord, but by the Holy Ghost."
1 Corinthians 12:7
"But the manifestion of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal."

Mocking the only hermeneutic with biblical warrant
Your "hermeneutics"???
Your conclusions???
Therefore the "warrant" you submit is yours alone!!!

As you can see from the Reformed theologians I have posted they see things differently. But so has it been throughout history that there are opposing interpretations of Scripture. The question being who has the correct one to confirm John 16:13.

God be with you!

Luke 4:17
"There is no doubt that Christ deliberately selected this passage. Some think that it was presented to him by God; but, as a liberty of choice was allowed him, I choose to say that, by his own judgment, he took this passage in preference to others. Isaiah there predicts that, after the Babylonish captivity, there will still be witnesses of the grace of God, who shall gather the people from destruction, and from the darkness of death, and restore, by a spiritual power, the Church, which has been overwhelmed by so many calamities. But as that redemption was to be proclaimed in the name and authority of Christ alone, he uses the singular number, and speaks in the name of Christ, that he may more powerfully awaken the minds of the godly to strong confidence.... Irrelevant, since the Geneva & Scottish Psalter, and Gregorian Chants, didn't exist then either (I am not referring to the lyrics, but the tunes). Or discard your Psalter if you really believe this.
Scottish Psater is an excellent translation of the Word of God, Psalms. The metre element to it was the means by which the stanzas were given to enhance vocal application of praise. Hebrew language would have applied this in the original writings. The first precentors had the job of calling out the line to be repeated before literacy and printing aided this aspect.

The early church by virtue of being "early" would obviously have known the method of praise used by there predecesors in 'Biblical' times, therefore would have more closely followed their ways. The plain song/chant methods emerged from there and that bears out their relevance to the discussion.
