I don't think Jim is being argumentative, but if he wants to present his case to this audenience better, he should choose links with more pictures and shorter words
Actually SteveR, it is difficult to have a discussion with links. If in order to discuss the issue at hand you have to read the links and somehow answer the content of the links in a way that lets those who have not read the links know what you are talking about. Jim needs to respond to the questions with his own words if he wants a discussion. Links can be use for research or to back up a point you are making. But when it is the point, then it comes down to a one-sided conversation.

It would be like Jim's infamous Inadequacy of Morality, does he expect people to come back an hour later to pick up the discussion? Links have their place, but not as a replacement for your own thinking or points.

Reminder you are either deliberately ignoring the long history of posts by those mentioned by sister ladybug or you are new to the forum and are speaking of things about which you are ignorant. If the latter is true, then you are being the judgmental person about whom you complain, if the former is true then you are showing lack of discernment. Ladybug gave sage advise.

Repent!
I had a comment but don't want to be guilty of putting words in your mouth or misrepresenting what you are saying. So, if you are paying attention to this thread, of exactly what are we to repent? How would this repentance manifest itself in our lives? Thanks for your response.

That is why I said that white cracker was a racist term, not that Trayvon was racist. Even if he was and smoked pot and got kicked out of school, I would not think that warrants him being murdered. I do believe there is proof Zimmerman got out of his car and made contact with the teenager and then shot him for no good reason. Zimmerman was arrested before for resisting arrest, assaulting a police officer, and had a restraining order placed on him for domestic violence. The jurors were idiots!
You are entitled to your opinion of the jurors but they did what they were supposed to do, they made a verdict not based upon pure conjecture, which is what you are doing, but on the evidence, THAT THE STATE presented. If you want to be mad about someone in this case, blame the prosecution.

Matthew 7:18-23 (KJV)
"A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.
Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.
Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? AND IN THY NAME DONE MANY WONDERFUL WORKS?
And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity."

WRONG: Faith exists so we can make God do whatever we want Him to (even to some wickedly imagining they can command God because they can quote Scriptures to Him)
RIGHT: Faith exists so we might do the will of God. And such faith rests upon the Promises (the Word) of God with its desire on and for God Himself
A GREAT CONTRAST:
“But on this one will I look:
On him who is poor and of a contrite spirit,
And who trembles at My word.
With
One who turns away his ear from hearing the law,
Even his prayer is an abomination.
AND I have to think that includes Charismatic abuse, or any other group's abuse (twisting) of the word of God.
So let us ask ourselves, as the effective fervent prayer OF A RIGHTEOUS MAN avails much, "How much more will our God graciously answer our praying, if we give ourselves to seeking His will and all the grace, wisdom, and especially the filling and leading of the HOLY Spirit to do it in thankful loving service for our Savior?"
2 Tim 2:15
Great comments Michael. The couple obviously crossed the line between faith and presumption. More than likely they adhere to Word of faith doctrines.

What kind of a mentally deranged moron believes that Obama is a Muslim? There is no evidence that Obama is at present a Muslim. Obama was Baptized as an adult in the United Church Of Christ, attends church irregularly and does not attend Mosque.
Where in the article does it say that someone is saying that Obama is a Muslim?

" But although He had done so many signs before them, they did not believe in Him, that the word of Isaiah the prophet might be fulfilled, which he spoke:

“Lord, who has believed our report?
And to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed?”

Therefore they could not believe, because Isaiah said again:

“He has blinded their eyes and hardened their hearts,
Lest they should see with their eyes,
Lest they should understand with their hearts and turn,
So that I should heal them.”

41 These things Isaiah said when he saw His glory and spoke of Him

John 12:37-41 NKJV

a dead man cannot respond to a gospel invitation a blind man cannot see the truth. (Ephesians 2:1; II Corinthians 4:4)

UPS, I know what the Republican health care system is...
As I stated previously, former congressman Grayson's comment is a great description of what Obamacare will be. The AARP, which is the article to which you linked, has millions in profit from Obamacare, so naturally they defend it. I cannot overemphasize it is NOT the government responsibility to give its citizen's healthcare, and most of our current problems with healthcare are government regulations and lack of tort reform. You never mention that the Canadian doctors refusal to treat patients when money ran dry towards the end of the fiscal year. (would you work for free?) The facts remain, waits in Canada are much longer. One gentleman recently diagnosed with cancer, was told he had to wait 6 months to get the test to find out if it was benign. I don't think he would agree with your view of Canadian healthcare. We have also before proved that affordable is a misnomer...Affordable????? ---- A new government actuarial study finds that as a result of the law, health care spending will be $478 billion higher over the next decade than it would have otherwise been had no law been passed. Finally, we are not pragmatist, we are Biblicists, the ends does not just the means.

jpw, you certainly pick liberal sources. Albeit, even if all you say is true, none that has to do with putting cross burning on equal footing with Al Qaeda terrorist, which is what I was addressing. I never said I was ok with any suicide bomber, see how reading liberal media distorts one's thinking. I fully agree that the cross burning "Christians" are a disgrace.

John Y, whether you cling to the RCC due to reasons dealing with family, friends, finances, familiarity, or fondness, the fact remains that the RCC teaches the need to go through the 7 sacraments in order to make it to heaven. You should read, if you have not, Foxes book of Martyrs to see the heritage of the church to which you cling. I don't agree with all the personal attacks on you, but God's Word does have a commandment to come out and be separate. How can two walk together except they be agreed? Different views on the millennium will not send a person to an eternity in hell, belief in and practicing of RCC doctrines will. You say that you are saved, may God guide you to walk in the truth.
