the only means by which they can reconcile is by faith in the One who died for their sins... that is Jesus Christ.

"can one spend eternity in hell and at the same time be covenanted with Him?"

I see now you acknowledge a person must have faith!! Very good, a sinner must repent and receive Christ for salvation by grace through faith via the regenerating power of God. thanks for the clarification.

I have answered your question before. If you think the children of Israel who were in a covenant relationship with God were all spared from eternal damnation, that is your problem not mine, good day.

Exodus 34:27 And the LORD said unto Moses, Write thou these words: for after the tenor of these words I have made a covenant with thee and with Israel.

1Chronicles 16:15-18 Be ye mindful always of his covenant; the word which he commanded to a thousand generations; Even of the covenant which he made with Abraham, and of his oath unto Isaac; And hath confirmed the same to Jacob for a law, and to Israel for an everlasting covenant,Saying, Unto thee will I give the land of Canaan, the lot of your inheritance

Psalm 105:10 And confirmed the same unto Jacob for a law, and to Israel for an everlasting covenant:

We believe th know John Hager is a false prophet and is not representative of mainstream dispensationalism. Stop with the straw man and please respond to the question about whether or not you need faith

Read on in Romans 9:30ff where the Israel of God is identified as those of Israel who sought after righteousness by faith as opposed to their works. Genetics doesn't enter the picture.

no argument there. Are saying what he recorded in verse 30 nullifies how he started the section in verses 1-4?
Then why also make the distinction in verse 31, 10:21? Note again the distinction between the nation of Israel at the end of chapter 11. That is penned's problem, she is stating that covenants keep you out of hell not faith. Paul is clearly making a distinction throughout Romans 9-11 between the nation of Israel and those who are now part of God's family regardless of their nationality. He is not teaching replacement theology. Whether the forming of the nation of Israel in 1948 has anything to do with God's plan for the nation of Israel in the end times is yet to be seen and should not be stated as a fulfillment of anything.

Here is your chance to show from the Old or New Testament that God was not covenanted with the nation of Israel Better cut out Ephesians 2:12 along with scores of other references. Now, looking at your statement above, did none of the children of Israel go to hell because they were in a covenant relationship with God? everyone of them is currently in heaven???

depends on how you define Israel. but if you say "physical descendants" then you have made God a liar....
when you choose your theological interpretation over the plain wording of Scripture. Paul clearly, indisputably said he was talking about the physical descendants that made up the nation of Israel.

Rom 9:1-4 I say the truth in Christ, I lie not, my conscience also bearing me witness in the Holy Ghost, That I have great heaviness and continual sorrow in my heart. For I could wish that myself were accursed from Christ for my brethren,

**my kinsmen according to the flesh: Who are Israelites; **

to whom pertaineth the adoption, and the glory, and the covenants, and the giving of the law, and the service of God, and the promises;

The nation of Israel is the only group of people that fulfills verse 4

Hey Mike; So that means that these poor transgender folks have no control over their faculties to cause this flesh borne craving? = Reprobation?
Total Depravity must be a state of being then.
God's total sovereignty over sin and the wicked in this world must mean that Sodom and Gomorrah were punished specifically as an example of reprobation - not justice?
Jude 7 Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.
Is the 'example' for sinners to teach them punishment of inevitable reprobation or to persuade them to change their ways?
If they cannot be so persuaded (no free will) then election/reprobation must be a fact of life on earth.
when you have an agenda and you are more interested in pushing it than making sensible comments on the actual news article at hand. B Warely is not alone in this type of posting.

Lurker, sorry this is NOT the sense. People do not undertake certain things in order to gain merit at all. Instead, it is a pleasure to live in the light for God in all things that are pure because of his work in and for us.
The line of thought you take is a misrepresentation of intent
Excuse this interjection
when you have an inflated opinion of the worthiness of your own posts. You stick your thoughts in as the rule by which all others should be measured. Unless John UK changed his practice of not posting under multiple monikers, someone needs to figure out they are not the sole artibor of spiritual truth on this forum.
