Sermon:
Exposition on John 17 Sermons 1-2
Samuel Eyles Pierce

“ Excellent, well narrated ”
I was actually looking for a text of this to narrate. I was first told of Pierce's exposition in 1985 when I was in a conversation with the founders of the Chapel Library. They actually were correspondents with A W Pink many years before and I was interested in anything I could learn. I have only narrated his book on Growth in Grace. This is a great find, thanks for your work. T M S puritanaudiobooks.net

“ Great Sermon! ”
I have listened to Roberts preaching for over 30 years. I am putting this on my MP3 player. What drew me to it? Easy, it is 141 minutes long! That alone sets him apart as a preacher and argues for me to persevere through at least as eagerly as an NCAA football came of the same length. God bless this dear brother. But woe unto me.

“ Love Charnock ”
Charnock says here, "The removal of the gospel and unchurching a nation is the greatest judgment. Can there be a greater judgment than to have the word of God removed, to want a prophet to instruct and warn, when the law shall perish from the priest, and counsel from the ancient? This God threatens as the greatest, Ezek. 7. 26. And the church complains of it as the sorest: We see not our signs, and there is no more any prophet among us, Psal. 74 It was the greatest token of God's anger, when his glory went up from the cherubims, Ezek. 9- 2. A loco placationis. How much more terrible is the shaking off the dust of the feet of God against a people, than the shaking off the dust of the feet of an apostle? What greater evidence can there be of a father's indignation against a disobedient son, than not only to disinherit him but disdain to speak to him, or send to him any notice of his mind and will? The misery of the old world was summed up in this, My Spirit shall not always strive with man, Gen. 6:3, and then are the flood-gates of heaven opened. The shutting up the book of mercy, is the opening the book of justice, the unstopping the vials of wrath; this, this is the very dregs of vengeance."

“ Good overview of Owen's works ”
This was a good overall sketch for me of Owen's works. Not necessarily any thing new, but I am always reminded that when I examine myself in the light of what Owen wrote on sanctification, I feel like I haven't hardly begun to live these things out with the earnestness that Owen reminds us is necessary. I am so without excuse. I have narrated the most unique number of titles of Owen into Audio-book format. From all of volumes 6 and 7, to just last night finishing up his commentary on Augustine's conversion in his work on the Holy Spirit. (Book 3, chapter 6) The most detailed conversion testimony in church history scientifically analyzed by the greatest experimental Puritan commentator in church history. One is left with little desire to groan that so few Christians around us hardly understand these things, let alone prioritize them in their own lives. Owen leaves us moaning and bewailing our own low attainments in Grace and then points us to our only Remedy, Jesus Christ.

“ Very well narrated ”
I am always overjoyed when I find narrations like this. Especially of such a great book. I have always had an interest in reformed materials in audio-book format since this is my 31st year of narrating. When I find others adding to the number, I feel a kindred spirit and love in our common Savior and thankfulness that He is stirring others up to edify others in this way. Very well done. Sermon:
Believer's Freedom in Christ
Pastor Robert Briggs

“ Great Sermon! ”
I can't find words to express my thankfulness for Pastor Brigg's boldness and ability to preach. If anyone outside of our church new of our former pastor who fell, he did. So what encourages me is that he in no way comes behind him in his ability to make the same kind of close applicatory preaching. The more I hear him, the more I am impressed. But it is healing because we miss this kind of preaching. I heard this sermon because my fellow laborer chose it for our radio station wildernessradio.com So I wasn't looking for it, it just arrested my attention as I listened to it spontaneously through our android app. I need this in my life, and it is evident the our Lord is still supplying pastors for His church.

The European Union

“ Great Sermon! ”
It has been sometime since I took seriously a sermon linking current events to Bible prophecy, but this was well handled, convicting , and certainly worth hearing. I have informed other Christians about it because I think too many of them do not see the evil of the European Union and the importance of Thursday's election. Thanks for preaching this.

Sermon:
The Christian Eyeing Eternity
Earl M. Blackburn

“ Great Sermon! ”
This sermon aired on Wilderness Radio today. I don't know how I missed the original since it was preached at our church. Thanks for this. One historic note. The sermon was based on a Puritan Sermon in the Morning Exercise Volumes, but the actual pastor who preached this was Thomas Doolittle {not Samuel Annesley}. I had just happened to both reference this sermon recently and narrate it as well. "John Angell James claims this is, " perhaps the most solemn sermon in the English Language or any other language" {quoted in An Earnest Ministry} How Should We Eye Eternity?

Sermon:
The Life of Robert L. Dabney
Thomas Sullivan

“ Dabney's VA Defense Critique explained ”
C Gregg Singer states so well in his book, A Theological Interpretation of American History that it has been customary and fashionable to claim the secession of the south was only to defend slavery as an economic institution and the rights of states as their main weapon for their defense of slavery, but to overlook the theological forces at work is to seriously misread the records... I know that Dabney knew this. So it is puzzling that in his Defense of Va and the South he doesn't deal with the unitarianism and atheism of the abolitionist movement, but defends southern slavery and the economic effects of abolition. For this reason I felt it necessary to examine his Defense. Very helpful as well is the teaching of John Otis on this subject SID=418051862 on Sermon Audio
