Great Sermon! Finally, someone deals with the Free Offer errors of the Marrow, and of John Murray. They were fine Christians, but they were sincerely in error, creating a semi-Arminianism, as it were. Thank you.
Great Sermon! Titled correctly, for it's confusing to me. If God loves the Reprobate, did he love Esau? If God loved Pharaoh, why did he raise him up "for this very purpose" to show his power? Why are vessels MADE for honor, and dishonor? I don't deny indiscriminate preaching, for the sheep are mixed in the crowd. If God desired the salvation of the Reprobate, in the end was he unsatisfied? Why did Jesus tell his apostles that info were hidden from others, or why does he soften some hearts and harden others? Why would he desire to resurrect all dead men, but only give life to some? There are not 2 wills in God. God is simple. Is there such a thing as semi-Arminianism? Is.55 - do all thirst after righteousness apart from God?
Great Sermon! From Home.
Resurrection Day sermon.
False views of crucifixion, resurr. & atonement. Literal body, not errors of Gnosticism, Docetism.
Errors of false ideas of Atonement. Not crucified as moral example to be imitated.
b/c he is raised, we have hope we will be raised w. him, him having paid debt of our sins.
Not much on Stanley 95% of show deals with Mormon Kwaku and his denial of the Trinity based on his misunderstanding, or misrepresentation, of what Christians believe. He fails to make the category distinction between Being and Persons as clearly presented in the Athanasian Creed.
Very Sanctifying, and humbling Don't be dissatisfied with where God has put you, or what God has given you, but be content in all things. If recognition has not been given to you, or position, be content no matter what. Do not be envious of other brothers. The anger Envy is a greater sin than what sins you see in them. Be glad for them. Rejoice with them. Being content though you expected more, is a very humbling doctrine.
Fascinating Series! I'm past the 4th lecture, but I don't want to break off and do anything else right now. I've always wanted to understand Presupp, and Michael Butler shares so much content and insight, that I can't wait for the next one! I'm enjoying this more than I expected. It makes me happy that this is a long series. I bet you don't hear that much.
