If Mr. Comfort was born to atheist parents could he have stated with a clear conscience, "I'm an atheist," when in fact he converted to Protestantism many years ago? Further, what do his parents have to do with this film and the facts?
Does telling the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth in Christ matter anymore?
How should we explain this to our children? Either Mr. Comfort is currently Jewish or he's currently Protestant -- he can't have it both ways.
This film opens with Ray Comfort proclaiming to be "Jewish." Am I missing something? I thought that ]]Mr. Comfort was that former New Zealander and "Hell's Best Kept Secret" tractarian Protestant from Bellflower, California. Either he's converted to Judaism (and Wiki hasn't updated that fact) or he's lying for the sake of this film -- which would be an excellent production otherwise.
PaulTheDeacon wrote, "This is using media in a way that glorifies God and highlights the need for more outreach through the 'net! Way to go "Way of the Master"!! Does it?
Is it okay to lie for the sake of the Truth? If the Scripture contains one small lie -- but stated it as fact -- would that be okay, too? Could this ever be the "Way of the Master"?
* Prostitutes have always acquired sterility tools and methods. * Sterilization of the "insane" and "retarded" has been used as long as the procedure was possible.
By extension... * When our wives wanted tools and methods of sterility (The Pill) we (and the government) said "yes." * When our wives wanted careers outside the home we said "yes." * When we were "done" with children and our wives wanted to be sterilized we said "yes." * When we were having marital disharmony at home and the lady (someone else's sterilized wife) at work empathized with and flattered us we thought "yes." * When late one night at work she and I were alone we did "yes."
Thus, "For want of The Pill the marital fidelity was lost" doesn't happen in every single marriage, but often enough to unhinge society.
The homosexual is not the root cause of society's woes. Christians are. The CofS had collapsed long before an ordained open-homosexual ever mounted a pulpit to preach.
For want of The Pill the marital fidelity was lost, For want of marital fidelity the marriage was lost, For want of a marriage the family was lost, For want of a family the congregation was lost, For want of a congregation the denomination was lost, For want of a denomination the Church of Scotland was lost, And all for the want of The Pill.
Note: An ordained open homosexual in the pulpit is not the problem, he's just a sign of an all but complete destruction of marriage, the family, the congregation and the denomination.
