Terrific message Good to see another Aussie preacher on this site. Good sermon. Could you do more on some other current affairs topics that affect Australia. I would love to hear more practical Christian thoughts (what would Jesus think) on issues in our local and national media.
Praise God I am not an American. I can, only but pray for my brothers and sisters in the US who will suffer under this bill..but at least God can see the bigger picture and we need to trust in His Judgment. In my country, the government pays only for the basic health care under Medicare for every single Australian, but we can get a choice whether we need to pay for extra health, but at least those who can't afford extra health insurance, get the basic care.
Awesome Sermon! Totally agree RG. I found this sermon along with the series, of great benefit in my spiritual walk. The whole church body does need to wake up to itself as what is biblical and what is not. Alot of different preachers preach their own opinions and take verses out of context to suit themselves, but Richard explains things so well that you know he is biblically right..and you can trust in his teaching.
I have tried to share these links with many christians and all they have done is abuse me for it. Truth is always an unwanted knowledge to those who don't care for it.
Awesome Sermon! These series of sermons are God's answer to my prayer for wisdom on this issue. I am sharing these links on another group site, and what I had expected, I'm getting heaps of back lash and verbal attacks...and that is from Christians. Obviously, they dont want to hear the truth on this...but I don't care, because all I can do it share it and leave all the bad comments to the Lord to deal with.
However, my own pastors understands my issue with this, so it's good to have their support.
Thank you Richard. They are clearing my mind of all the confusion on spirtual gifts...and I praise the Lord for posting these sermons at the right time. Keep 'em coming.
Awesome Sermon! Awesome sermon. I am being so lifted and encouraged, and God is answering my prayer for wisdom on this issue through these sermons. Thank you again, Richard.
I am also attempting to tell others to listen to these sermons so they get the truth, but many are claiming the exact 'claim' of verses compared to experience' that you have said in this sermon, so its now their choice. Great message. keep em coming.
I thank The Lord for your preaching methods.
Great Sermon! Great series, Richard. They are really helping me to see the way clearly through the fog and smoke of so many hyped up ideas of what Spiritual gifts really are. I'm starting to share your sermons as you suggested and finding I'm getting alot of negativity, which I expected because they haven't understand what spiritual gifts really are. One person suggested that an unexpected monetary gift was a spiritual gift...which only serves as a misinterpretation of scripture.
Thanks again for your series. Looking forward to the next sermon.
Good sermon I just wanted to share this article on what Australians feel on Obama to add to the sermon's notes.
The coments below the article may be offensive to some, but it's the article that i wanted to share to this issue of Obama's presidency, that, at least, my country is waking up to him. http://clancop.wordpress.com/2008/10/06/refreshing-an-australians-view-on-obama/
Great Sermon! I am realy enjoying this series on Corinthians. Richard is helping me to feel at ease in my spirit at what I have suspected all along about people who claim things that i have been very suspicious about. I had a bad experience one evening with a 'healing' situation, that i discerned was demonic, but was too shaken up to say anything at the time, but later i shared it with some people who were in it and they felt the same to a point, so it was good to clear the air. I hope to share Richard's sermons with them so they can see into what they believe. Thank you Richard, you are an excellent preacher.
Great Sermon! Thank you Richard. I really needed this. I have been struggling so much against the influences of the pentacostal movement and feeling like an alien, and now i know why. The Lord has clarified what is truely from the Holy Spirit. I have been totally blessed by this sermon. Please can you do another on this topic. It is really hard to discern what is of God when everyone has their own opinion of what comes from God, often taking scripture out of context to suit their viewpoint. I would rather wait on the Lord's leading. Please can you do a series on this. I love your preaching.
I have known this in many chat rooms i have been in. I'm not talking about those who begin to enjoy a friendship and then have trouble coming in due to circumstances beyond their control. I am talking about those who just walk away from a good friendship, purely for the sake of their selfish reasons...without a word. I have lost a number of friends that way. When people try to make contact with them, they ignore them and dont even respond to emails. I get sick of those who come into chat rooms and not say anything to anyone, even when people try to be friendly with them. I have made many friends on the internet that i would not have known, but very few have remained friends. This is because they don't know how to treat one another with the courtesy and respect that is supposed to be in the Christian life...even knowing internet courtesy is a rare thing and needs education.
Well one thing about Australians at the moment is that we are fighters. We have public prayers on Anzac Day...for those who died for God, King and Country, and those who try to remove our culture, including prayers is in for a fight. A number of God hating political groups (one is now dead and gone)have tried many times to remove prayer from Parliament but has failed every time...and there are Christians in Parliament, including our Prime Minister Kevin Rudd who may oppose it. So if they attempt to try to remove prayer or God from our schools, they will have a huge fight on their hands. If prayer in Parliment goes the prayers on Anzac Day will also go and that is not on..so the majority of Australian people will protest against it. At least we have a Christian Prime Minister for the next 3 years..that'll help.
Great Sermon! I loved listening to this sermon and the others from this broadcaster. I have attemped to share my new found knowledge with my christian friends but I am so amazed how many christians are sucked in by the brainwashing influences of the world's opinions. Many christians i have spoken still believe that man is to blame for global warming. They cannot seem to be open to other reasons. I tell them they need to listen to this sermon to get the facts. Many christians dont seem to want to get involved in these issues and other issues, so how can we fight against these effects if many just want to sit on the fence. I'm trying to tell people about this, but many just hide their heads in the clouds, not wanting to be involved.
Great Sermon! It's frustrating that when you put your faith in someone's teaching such as Billy Graham, Joyce Meyer, etc and you figure they must have it right because they are more learned than you are and they score billions of people to their ministries, it comes as a shock to the system that you find they are warped biblically in some areas. You know the basic salvation truth, but then you get to a point when something has been taught to you is a wrong concept, making christianity very confusing. I thank the recent comment from Ian in Minnesota that the Lord knows who is His, but can His people still be His people even if they teach some basic wrong doctrine along the road while they are trying to save souls for Him.
Sometimes, its hard to know who is right and who is wrong as far as listening to ministers preaching goes. Some may have just a personal opinion about a verse that the writer may have a different meaning about, biblically, but its not a major issue as far as your own relationship with the Lord is concerned. So how does one test what is too confusing to test?
