what do you do when its the elders hanging onto their tax status.., a generation who just wants to sit and wait it out and go out for brunch?
Kent getting out & preaching will help.
Even the drift from himself & his godly son Eric has needed fatherly correction. A loving dad warns about drifting away from God's word and lukewarm churchianity !

Kent saw the fake money system & fake bibles& fake old earth "creationism" as dangerous , so when the trumped up charges got him corralled for being so effective in exposing the lie of evolution, the fake churches just left him hanging. He had offended them by truth.

The older generation isn't necessarily right but deference to Bible based wisdom from experience brethren like Kent can help.
He got in trouble for warning about this beast system and we see it trying to gobble him & us. But greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world.

Those young pups in 1 Ki 12 with their attitude are a good warning for us against the sin of pride. See Obadiah ch 1.
Kent has had a humble attitude throuout his ordeal.

Of course there were many reasons but taxes(tribute) clearly is a specific one

So when all Israel saw that the king hearkened not unto them, the people answered the king, saying, What portion have we in David? neither have we inheritance in the son of Jesse: to your tents, O Israel: now see to thine own house, David. So Israel departed unto their tents. But as for the children of Israel which dwelt in the cities of Judah, Rehoboam reigned over them. Then king Rehoboam sent Adoram, who was over the tribute; and all Israel stoned him with stones, that he died. Therefore king Rehoboam made speed to get him up to his chariot, to flee to Jerusalem. So Israel rebelled against the house of David unto this day. 1Ki ?12?:?16-19

1 Kings 11:29-35 says The Lord planned to divide the kingdom because of their idolatry & lack of keeping the good example of David. 11:33
Founders reading:
broke off based on tyrannical oppression

Thy father made our yoke grievous: now therefore make thou the grievous service of thy father, and his heavy yoke which he put upon us, lighter, and we will serve thee. 1Ki12:4
And the king answered the people roughly, and forsook the old men's counsel that they gave him; And spake to them after the counsel of the young men, saying, My father made your yoke heavy, and I will add to your yoke: my father also chastised you with whips, but I will chastise you with scorpions. 1Ki 12:13-14

Stupid advice from the young being followed vs listening to the elders is another cause.
Because that they have forsaken me, and have worshipped Ashtoreth the goddess of the Zidonians, Chemosh the god of the Moabites, and Milcom the god of the children of Ammon, and have not walked in my ways, to do that which is right in mine eyes, and to keep my statutes and my judgments, as did David his father. 1Ki 11:33
David touted here.

Taxes were the point of rebellion -& tyranny

Every pastor in America, regardless of denomination, should have already started proclaiming “the spirit of resistance” (Thomas Jefferson) to their church congregations; they should already be extolling the Biblical mandate to resist tyranny; 1 ki 12 was used a lot in the 1700s...

Gun grabbing was more an issue than taxes in 1776
Upon spotting the citizen militia, a British officer demanded the men throw down their arms. They refused; and the British troops immediately opened fire. Eight of the Minutemen were instantly killed. The colonists returned fire in self-defense, and the shot was fired that was heard ’round the world. By the time the troops arrived at the Concord Bridge, just a few miles away, hundreds of colonists were waiting for them with muskets in hand, and the rest, as they say, is history.

attempted gun confiscation ignited America’s War for Independence.
...it was the pastor of the Church of Lexington and members of his congregation who were the Minutemen of Lexington Green.

Thus saith the LORD,Ye shall not go up, nor fight against your brethren
the children of Israel: return every man to his house; for this thing is from me. They hearkened therefore to the word of the LORD,and returned to depart, according to the word of the LORD. "

A rebellion allowed --sourced in Evil Taxes....& allowed by the Lord. this passage was quoted in many mid 1700s colony sermons.
