Walt Sawyer wrote: The answer to your question is simple. All real Americans know it. God is on our side. Although certain historical events appear to be unGodly and unChristian, they do not apply to us because God is on our side. By definition therefore, whatever we do is Godly and Christian because God is on our side. The massacre of natives, slavery, wars of Manifest Destiny, child labor, as well as revolting against the lawful authority of the British Crown which allowed certain trustees of English property to profit in the "colonies", ......liberty, justice, freedom etc., all of these things are sinful only when perpetrated by countries who do not have God on their side. These are obviously countries that do not do as we want them to do. Because if God is on our side He can't be on the side of those who disagree with us. I hope this clears up the trouble that you were having in reconciling the dichotomy with which you struggle. If you do not believe that Americans believe that God is on our side, just wait for the righteous indignation of the following commentators, who know the truth, namely that God is on our side. Thats very strange!!! I thought God was on our side. |
