Great Sermon! Everything about Genesis Ch.1 and 2 is amazing and the whole of God's creation is full of wonder. Thankyou Dr Whitcomb for making these marvellous truths clear and plain.
"Athiesism" is an oxymoron.....think about it! If you are a human being, you have a creator....He lives on the inside of you! Whether you believe He exists or not....does not change the fact that He is! He gives you the very breaths you take....try holding your breath....?
Wake up people! It's preparation for the antichrist. It's dumming us down so we'll accept the abnormal and abominations as normal and exceptable. Believer's are to be watchmen on the wall....but most of us are asleep, ignorant, or a part of all this madness. The scripture says.. "come out from among them and be ye separate, says the Lord."
Think it not strange that we have "wolves" like Osteen in the pulpit. The bible speaks of it long before they showed up on the scene. The answer is "born again Believers", must not dwell in ignorance. We must test the spirits, and study to show OURSELVES approved...."
2 Timothy 4:3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
Matthew 24:11 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.
1 John 4:1 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world and already exists now.
Have the funeral for the man, just the the truth about it. It's YOUR church - YOU (as pastor) follow your church disciplines and do not deviate or compromise in any way. Tell what the bible says (that's what pastors do) about it...God loves the sinner - but he despises his sin!!! If he did not renounce his homosexuality before his death...heaven is not his home..AND the other sodomites in attendance will find themselves in the same place if they continue to sin and die in it. Show compassion for the family by telling them the truth of the gospel..that in itself is compassion, because you are showing them concern for their souls.
Isn't it amazing how "high profile preachers" and ministries get away with this kind of stuff - I bet you wouldn't! This kind of stuff, and men like this, give "Christianity" and "preaching of the true gospel" a very bad name. Be sure, his sin will find him out in regard to this payoff. God rest his spirit..wherever he is. I pray for his family.
Mammom you will leave behind....but salavation you take with you, because it's a gift from God! His money means nothing to him now. Yes, he was great in the eyes of earthly men, but God is our final judge, not men. I pray he knew the God of my bible "Jesus Christ" and Him crucified. Prayer for his family goes out.
It's the truth that makes us free - not popularity, riches, houses or cars - no, net even being politically correct. Wonder who's defending him now? He was a good man by the world's standards....but that's not our measuring stick.
The White's are an insult to the name of Christ and Christianity. They have taken the gospel and perverted it for filthy lucre, as the bible teaches would happen in the last days. The scripture also says these people are "wolves" and "hirelings" krept in among the sheep unawares! I know of no TV (Televangelist) ministry that I would support - none are worthy, besides they don't need my money -- they need Jesus. I support my local church body as long as the truth is being rightly divided.
He's a heretic like most of your other megachurch "pulpiteers". His agenda was about his pocketbook and his popularity. Any time a "pastor" loses God's focus for the sheep - it's time to go....good riddance to bad rubbish! I can't begin to image the countless number of people he has deceived and raped financially. We need to pray for his salvation and the surrender of his soul to the REAL Christ Jesus!
To all commentors.......yes, I agree with you all. The question is..."where do we go from here?". Can this false gospel be stopped? Is it going to take over completely the local body? What's the answer? The local church should be about restoring hurting people and directing them to Christ. But how can you do that if they are being taught is "God wants you rich", when the truth is Christ wants a personal relationship with you to change you mind, body and spirit. He wants to teach you how to fish - not to stand on the corner and beg for fish!
