nl- you are in error, by taking credit for salvation, you are calling God a liar and robbing Him of due glory. You twist the scriptures to suit your beliefs instead of allowing the Holy Spirit to teach you, your pride is sin. "NO ONE can come to me UNLESS the Father draws him"...Enough people have given you God's word, yet, you stick to your clouded version. You are giving an impression that all any lost sinner has to do is decide for themselves to seek God, on their own power. This is false teaching and contrary to sound doctrine. Please quit misleading any lost soul who may read your posts and think they have salvation by works. Let's shut this merry go round down, and move on.
nl. the passage in Luke 11:13 is spoken to believers, not those who are still lost in sin. You seem to think you play a part in God's salvation plan, which makes yours a salvation by works. What do you do with Psalm 14:2,3? Or Romans 3:11? You must understand the WHOLE counsel of God, not just a verse here and a verse there. Your argument is not just and does not hold water when compared with God's whole counsel; you need to go to the Lord and pray for discernment, clarity, and understanding. "There is NONE who seeks after God"...why do you call God a liar?
nl, you must remember the ministry of the Holy Spirit, He convicts the world of sin, and the word is what brings about that conviction. All have sinned and fall short; how is it any could seek a God they have sinned against and reject until we come under conviction? Mr. Gorbachez claims Christianity, which is such a loose term in today's society, as he prays to a dead man's tomb. He acknowledged his faith; faith in what? His testimony appears shallow, no mention of repenting and believing in the gospel...
