She isn't a female pastor because biblically speaking there are no female pastors. The office of pastor is reserved for men. Biblically speaking therefore, she is a false teacher in rebellion against the Word of God. It says she is married and the Bible clearly teaches that the man is the spiritual head of the home. Thus for her to presume spiritual leadership, which is what a pastor exercises, over her husband is again a clear affront to Scripture. No surprise then that her teaching is contrary to the Bible and marred by serious error.
Hi TULIP, Faith is a gift from God like salvation. It is a gift freely offered to all, praise God. By definition you can't earn a gift- Romans 11:6. I prefer to stick to the Word and not impose man made systems of thought on top, which is what Calvinism does.
Hi John, you seem to be suggesting that being saved and being born again are distinct- I don't see any scriptural support for that. New birth is simply one of the ways our salvarion is characterised, resurrection is another.
There is an awful lot of Calvinism in these comments. I have to disagree with ladybug- the Bible really does present clearly how to be born again. Romans 10:13 for example. Faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of God.
I don't quite see how this article made the cut. It's basically a book review and neither of the books seem especially newsworthy nor is the article particularly profound.
