Don't think so wrote: Isaac Watts...A Unitarian---Sermon ID 860531825 Not so. He used ill advised expressions, but he was no unitarian. One only has to study his hymns to know that. Philip Doddridge who was closest to him also defended him from this calumny. |

way wrote: Wow! You can identify the elect - "from their fruits" Amazing. Tell me what are the fruits of the elect which identify them as specifically being the elect of God? Also how do the fruits which you perceive are specifically of the elect differ from that of the non-elect who frequently sit in the pews, confessing the same religious theology? Matthew 7:22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? == To purely human eyes and thinking these guys sounded and looked kosher - But Jesus rejects them and declares He does not know them. Tell me Ups, what was it Jesus perceived in them to reject them? Try reading the Bible for a change and then you might find the answer for yourself. But that's too much like hard work for you I suppose. |

way wrote: You asked for Bible verses well they are quoted in the WCF. You cannot identify the invisible church? Tell me Unprofitable Servant, can you recognise and identify an "Elect" Christian? Can you read hearts? If like all "normal" mortals you cannot identify the "Elect" - Then are they invisible to you? Where in the bible do you find the elect identified as the church, let alone the invisible church? Always seeking fiction as opposed to truth! |

way wrote: That is a link to the SermonAudio sermons on the subject. If you don't like or don't approve of the work and ministry of SermonAudio why do you come to this site? Are you a Christian? How do you jump to the dumb conclusion that I disapprove of SermonAudio? And how does my response about Presbyterian fairy tales make me a non-Christian? Thinking hard for you? |

Unprofitable Servant wrote: Still looking for the verse that states the real church is invisible, maybe I don't have the right version, could Jim from Lincoln help me here? John UK, good to confess your sins brother, what are you doing being a visible Christian in this world. Presbyterian fabrications never cease, which shows that if one puts an interpretative grid on the Bible, one error leads to another. |
