Sermon:
Righteousness Without Works
Dr. Alan Cairns

“ Great Sermon! Full of solid truth. ”
Here is an excerpt from Alan's sermon which should be shouted out from the mountain tops. "Nothing that a person does before his coming to Christ prepares him to be justified. Nothing that a Christian does in his coming to Christ adds any merit to enable God to justify him. Nothing that a Christian does in the years after his coming to Christ adds any further ground of his acceptance with God. The whole idea here is that God is talking about a righteousness not a potential righteousness. Not a perspective righteousness, not a theoretical righteousnes, but and actual present righteousness. Something that meets God's standard. Satisfied his nature, satisfies his law. Something that leaves nothing against us in the books of God. No charge unanswered, unmet at the judgement bar of heaven. A righteousness that is absolutely perfect, entire, complete and everlasting." (part two to follow)

“ Jesus our Redeemer ”
What a thought!! That our Lord and Saviour the Lord Jesus Christ undertook his redemptive work within the very creation he himself had created. How that very creation should cry out in futility, bondage, groaning and labouring until the final consummation of this wonderful redemptive work.

“ Great Sermon! ”
This sermon is awesome and inspiring, we were taken into the presence of Heaven and with all the angels and elders we too bow down and worship singing "worthy is the lamb".

“ Two great thoughts among many warnings ”
Assurance is a delicate plant and yes we should cherish it. Sin will kill us if we do not kill it. These are thoughts brought out by Pastor Chanski which are worth thinking on and remembering forever.

“ King Asa - What a shame!!! ”
In listening to these sermons on King Asa I was led to write a hymn about it. This is certainly not of professional standard but it states some truths about God and some sad facts about king Asa: A HYMN BASED ON THE LIFE OF KING ASA TO THE TUNE: BUCKLAND - 77 77 ASA CRIED IN PRAYER TO THEE WE OUR GOD IN PRAYER WILL FLEE KNOWING GOD WAS HIS DELIGHT SEEKING GOD WITH ALL HIS MIGHT NOTHING IS TO BIG FOR THEE GOD OF HEAVEN, EARTH AND SEA ASA’S LORD WAS HIS TRUE GOD RESTING ON HIS NAME HE TROD ASA SINNED AGAINST THE LORD TRUSTED MEN AND NOT HIS GOD NO PRAYER TO GOD HE DID MAKE NOT TO GOD FOR SICKNESS SAKE WE SHOULD LEARN FROM HIS DEMISE HOW ALWAYS ON OUR GOD RELY PRAYER ALWAYS THE RIGHT TRUE WAY KNOW YOUR FATHER GOD IS WISE. SO WE GO IN THY GREAT NAME JESUS, IS THE NAME WE KNOW FORWARD, INTO BATTLE GO SEEING GOD AND NOT THE FOE WE HIS PEOPLE KNOW HIS POWER SEEING ALL, AND KNOWING MORE GOD, OUR GOD, WILL USE HIS STRENGTH FOR HIS PEOPLE, FOR THE HOUR.

“ God's love to me is wonderful ”
God's love to me is wonderful, that he should deign to hear The faintest whisper of my heart, Wipe from mine eyes the tear; And though I cannot comprehend Such love, so great, so deep, In his strong hands my soul I trust, He will not fail to keep. God's love to me is wonderful! My very steps are planned; When mists of doubt encompass me, I hold my father's hand. His love has banished every fear, In freedom I rejoice, And with my quickened ears I hear The music of his voice, God's love to me is wonderful! He lights the darkest way; I now enjoy his fellowship, 'Twill last through endless day. My father doth not ask that I Great gifts on him bestow, But only that I love him too, And serve him here below God's love is wonderful, God's love is wonderful, Wonderful that he should give his Son to die for me; God's love is wonderful!

Freed From the Fear of Death
Mark Chanski

“ No sting in death - wow! ”
Thinking about death in front of us and behind us, I was brought to think about the Israelites with the red sea in front of them and the Egyptians behind it must have been like death all around for them. But God overruled and with the red sea opening up for them, it was like walking right over death.

“ Great Sermon! ”
Thank you. I have just started to read 'By Faith' by Thomas Manton. Listen to this: "Grace is but young glory and differs from glory as an infant doth from a man; therefore, by degrees the Lord will have you enter upon your everlasting inheritance." pg9 God Bless Nicholas
