“ Great Sermon! ”
In the week that the Church of England voted to 'bless' same-sex couples, this sermon from a minister in Scotland, is especially pertinent, even if it was preached three years earlier. If you mourn at how many mainstream denominations have capitulated to the LGBT movement then this sermon is for you. And if you DON'T mourn then this sermon is definitely for you, if you have ears to hear.

“ Great Sermon! ”
I think the speaker is really referring, in this sermon, to LEE Irons, the Christian author and not, as he says, to Jeremy Irons the famous actor.

“ Great Sermon! ”
This sermon was very helpful. Arguing and complaining is my besetting sin. Thanks to the pastor who preached it.

“ Great Sermon! ”
Yes, I agree with Susan Abel's comment. Challenging and convicting without being condemning. I found it very helpful in knowing what I have to do with regards to behaviour. At the risk of sounding like the person whom Rev Silversides cautions near the end of his sermon, it was a pleasure to listen to.

“ Dr Kim Sermon. ”
Dr. Kim calls upon Augustine to support the thrust of his message. I call upon John Calvin to refute it. Commenting on Matthew 19 v 9 Calvin writes, ''though Christ condemns as an adulterer the man who shall marry a wife that has been divorced, this is undoubtedly restricted to unlawful and frivolous divorces. In like manner, Paul enjoins those who have been so dismissed to remain unmarried, or to be reconciled to their husbands.'' (1 Corinthians 7:11)

“ Alternative view ”
This particular case is not helped by the hyperbole delivered by this broadcaster, who clearly has a personal axe to grind regarding increasing government 'interference' in the lives of people. Then again, that's the nature of government - to make laws, about which people often object to, sometimes rightly, sometimes not. The boy, Alfie, had an incurable brain disease, a disease which had largely destroyed that brain. The boy was being kept alive by a ventilator, which the doctors decided should be switched off because, in their professional view, it was pointless and cruel to keep the boy alive by that means. The Law, in Britain, supports the doctors who are presumed to be acting in the best interests of the patient, in this case, the boy, Alfie. The Law, in acting for the best interests of the child, decided death was preferable to keeping the child alive with no hope of recovery. The parents disagreed, as many parents would, but that would not, necessarily, be in the best interests of their child. In fact, their love could get in the way of doing what's best for Alfie, even to let him die. Of course, there was no valid reason, in my view, for the judge to rule that the parents wouldn't be allowed to take the boy to Italy for further treatment but that is another issue

“ Quite Good Sermon! ”
If there is no continuity between the church of the New Testament and the people of Israel then why does Acts 7 v 38 call the Jews at Sinai, 'the church'?, ''This is he, that was in the church in the wilderness with the angel which spake to him in the mount Sina, and with our fathers: who received the lively oracles to give unto us:''

This sermon has been a real help for me. In fact, I listen to it quite regularly as an encouragement. You should give it at least one listen.

Unfortunately, the sound quality of this sermon rendered it almost inaudible, at key moments.

“ Great Sermon! ”
This sermon was very informative and made a great deal of sense in its application for the contemporary church. I heartily recommend it and also recommend that notes and bible references be made because there's a lot here to be remembered.

“ Good Sermon! ”
What I especially appreciated about this broadcaster, as well as his sermon, was the fact that the whole service was recorded and the church sings the Psalms.

I was so pleased to hear this speaker's warm commendation of Pentecostals despite his disagreement with their doctrine of tongue speaking. Thanks you for gracious words.
