Enjoying the study! Enjoying the Revelation study! Keep up the good work! One comment I have is that Luther, while he did a great work, (although I wish he had come out farther from the Catholic denomination and the Luthern church MIGHT be headed for Heaven instead of following the rules of confirmation for their salvation) did not produce the Baptist denomination. We are not a product of the Reformation! We were there since the apostles! We were the ones the Catholic church persecuted. Luther's reformation produced the Luthern, Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) and the Church of Christ. |

Wise Words "Aren't we supposed to use His Word [The Bible] in an objective manner to apply it to the calling God has for us in our lives?"
--Mr. Swanson
Yes! Oh, yes! Wise words.
Let us put them into practice now. As there were few verses quoted in the sermon, I assume because Mr. Swanson would like us to read more on our own, I encourage everyone to join me in further Scripture reading.
Get out your Bibles and turn to 1 Timothy, Chapter 5, or read it on Bible Gateway:
http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=1%20Timothy%205;&version=9;
Read the entire passage, my friends! Let the Word guide us in our lives.
Then, turn to another Chapter on this crucial subject by Apostle Paul, the uplifting 1 Corinthians 7. Find it on Bible Gateway here:
http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=1%20Corinthians%207;&version=9;
Let the Holy Scriptures seep our minds in wisdom. May our daughters, fathers, mothers, and sons follow the Lord! Amen. |
