“ Church as Family ”
I really appreciated Paster Holroyd's sermon and I get the concept of community. However, that being said, and semantic nitpicking aside, are we, as Christians, rather to be called Family, than community? What I mean is, the word community, in relation to the Church, is a post-modern ideal. Are we not rather to be called brethren? Does God's Word not say we are brothers and sisters in Christ? A community is defined as a group of people living in the same place or having a particular characteristic in common. Are we not much more than this. I think of a community as a group of people living either in the same town, or neighborhood, maybe sharing a barbecue every once in a while. While a family is related by blood...in our case, the blood of Christ. I think it would be a much better sermon to preach on the Church as a FAMILY... just a friendly suggestion. |

Pastor Sturm, do I understand that you no longer believe the sun moon and stars in rev 12 to be jacob leah and the 12 sons, but rather the stars cast down are 1/3 of the angels? Please forgive the run on sentence. Keep up the excellent work, you guys are refreshing. |

Im sure you guys are familiar with Doug Wilson. He just sat down with Jeff Durbin and did an eschatology "conversation" explaining his views. He used ICor 15. I enjoyed it and believe it to be worthwhile. I found it on apologia radio. |

This is by far, the best sermon at both delineating and comparing Free Will and Reformed doctrine in Salvation. I will be recommending this to my Arminian friends! |

“ ...and be not deceived... ”
It'll be professing Christians persecuting Biblically sound Christians once again in world government!
LBGT support, the issues and protections that the militant homosexual wants, are single-digit minority positions in this nation. We have a representative form of government, yet their single-digit views have so much "support" amongst our professing Christian elected representatives in both political parties...how?
No patriot LABORS to hewn down the indispensable supports of religion & morality, so supporting the militant homosexual agenda in the name of libertarianism is not the American Liberty we need to achieve that will restore this Republic.
Throwing off the laws of the Creator that is higher than Caesar, is progressivism, and it has the same potential for attacking free speech as does those who fund the homosexual agenda on behalf of the communists who likewise won't tolerate sodomy anymore than a hostile Islamic theocracy would.
Only a VIRTUOUS people are capable of freedom, tolerance for reckless and unnatural immorality is not virtuous...so we fail if the laws of nature, and of nature's God are of no value, consideration, or summarily rejected regardless of their prominent contributions to our social order and national identity in history.

“ The only vulnerable 'group' I see... ”
...is the governed...
By FORCE we will be silenced...talk about God's Word being trodden undef foot!
Without the professing Christian church in America, demonstrating a "truth above all" attitude, no hope exists for Liberty to be achieved; because the courage necessary to put satan in his place is hidden...this is getting both repulsive and depressing on a daily basis.
I have been listening to a lot of Christian talk radio, and sermonaudio this week and last; they're right on their gun concerns, debt concerns, and DHS arming itself to the hilt concerns...I wish they'd "go for it!"...then I'd be confident in a revolution, regime change of Statesmen taking place on 2014 and beyond...but, I'm afraid our once Bible-preaching pulpits are resigned to let us go the way of Europe....
Cold, spiritually dead, rotting , socialist-subsidized, government-obedient, watered-down, dark assemblies where false fire is a profitable business is where we're headed if our preachers don't STAND UP and STEP OUT against tyranny like they did in our founding era!!! |

“ Christian Political Activism is to blame also... ”
...not only for the reasons you stated, Pastor Bill(we do not feel compelled to seek His face, humble ourselves, fast & pray); but also because we send money to, and we turn the responsibility over to, pro-family Republican K-street lobbying groups in Washington D.C.; who have, and still, accomplished NOTHING to curb abortion or sodomy and now sodomite marriages since.Ronald Reagan took office!
All they've done is suck money from unsuspecting conservative Christians, and they have squandered it on conferences and wining and dining career statist politicians who have both morally and financially bankrupted us.
If I may, please allow me to link to whom some of these charlatans are; by way of inviting you, Pastor Sean and whomever else to listen to a fellow sermonaudio broadcaster/faithful Pastor as he names names from a blasphemous event known as May Day 2010 ...
Please begin listening at the 32:00 minute mark, and be NOT deceived; these guys are still at it today, no matter the packaging it's in...it's the same product, from the same source, Satan himself who hates Christ and the Bible, and wants it nowhere near our halls of government...have a listen won't you please!

“ see...history is cyclical... ”
...not linear! Christians need to get dogmatic on the creation and the flood!
...as in...II Peter 3:3-6 "Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,4 And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.5 For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water6 Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished:"
Two great cataclysmic events, by the hand of the Creator...whose help we need to throw off tyranny once again...At this point, I think this is NOT the last days because this knowledge is still readily available....it's cyclical that free societies ignore this until brutal dictators take over....so....the solution....watch Kent Hovind's creation seminars and debates, then, BUY primary sources of American History and SHOW people face-to-face how societies that have reverence for the Creator of our founders PROSPERED, until the love of money overtook them....
Through education, repentance and reconciliation with the God of our founders; we can restore our Republic and enjoy liberty again....my thoughts! |
