Jeremiah 3 Although God divorced Israel, He maintained the marriage with His wife. The divorce temporarily suspended the fellowship, the life together, but it did not abrogate the bond of the union itself. Divorced Israel remained the wife of the LORD. Although His wife was unfaithful, although she committed adultery with numerous lovers, although she was as yet impenitent and although God had divorced her, God was still her husband and she was still His wife. The bill of divorce did not touch, much less dissolve, the marriage bond. Verse fourteen of Jeremiah 3 is decisive, and explicit, regarding the question, whether God divorced an original wife so as to annul the marriage and open the way for Himself to marry another. Addressing faithless, divorced Israel, Jehovah exclaimed, "Turn, O backsliding children, saith the LORD; for I am married unto you: and I will take you one of a city, and two of a family, and I will bring you to Zion." Indeed, the fact of the marriage is the reason why God called Israel back, as it is the reason why she ought to come back, to live with Him: "For I am married unto you.”
So Helpful Mr.Comfort
It was you that made me get real with my faith. I was thirteen and I thought I was too young to evangelize. I started listening to WOTM. Now I purposely talk about God. You have inspired me greatly. Now I listen to Wretched Radio.
I often, when witnessing, will find myself using you analogies. Thank you for taking a stand for Christ. :)
Well, if you are going to complain about brands of food and how they support gay marriage, abortion, ect. You may as well move to mars and start a life there. The truth is, most food companies (in general) support these things. I agree with boycotting these organizations, but we can't just stop using them that easily.
Sorry State wrote: Arminianism is the very essence of Popery.---
--- Who rules and reins TV and cable networks? Arminians. Calvinists have relegated themselves to a few backwater websites and radio stations. And these are shot-through with Arminianism. Calvin is dead. And it's Calvinists who systematically buried him.
Calvin is alive and well, but he's being snuffed by TULIP'ers who think they're Calvinist.
What's so devastating? One that would say this message is "devastating to dispensationalists" doesn't have a good understanding of that theology. Fantastic message...even dispensationalists believe that salvation has always been through Jesus Christ!
Questionable Accusation I appreciate your exposing of Harold Camping in this lesson. I do take exception to one of your comments that "regular churches are having him to preach." List them please, because in my 30 years of gospel preaching I have not heard of or met any church leader that welcomes this cult leader into their congregation.
Tony I appreciate your passion but let's stick to the facts. This study is about RELIGIOUS people, not just Christians. The conclusion OS that if you are serious about your faith then you are also diligent in your marriage. That certainly applies to regenerate believers, but the study included other religions too.
Mr Huibers may well make some money from this project. After all, he's working full time on this replica.
Furthermore, it is really worth noting that here in the Netherlands, it is nearly a miracle to find anyone who still believes the story of Noah and a six-day creation. Outside of church, that is. Therefore, I think it is great to see this ark being built, and this message being proclaimed.
Some years ago quite some people went to the former replica, and most reports claimed it had some impact.
Question: Can anyone tell me how about 109 incitings to violence in that sacred koran can promote peace? By writing this I am catalysing to hatred of course, instead of enobling the koran. In the Bible we can find 468 matches to the word LOVE! How many can be found in the koran?
