What if these women are too medically unstable to have children? Saving any child born to them a life of agonizing pain? What if God made them sterile? We know the Catholic Church is against artificially making babies? What if a woman knows that she does not have the patience or the support system to care for a child...not near family, the husband is not bonded with the baby or has to work 2 or more jobs to pay for all these children they have? What if the idea of raising a child gives them a panic attack because they might nit do it right. thise that choose this have given more thought to it than how most have given to becoming mothers. Shouldn't children be born into a loving home that wants them? That will raise them into upstanding people that will make a positive contribution in this world? I have cone across quite a few people that will say if they did it all over again they would never have gad children, it just takes a strong person. You are only lonely because you want to be. From a hard working non vacationing child free woman
Are you judging prematurely? Never assume what other people do. Isn't that what The Lord teaches? Thou shalt not judge. I always consider what else can be going on. What if the other parent has passed away and staying home is not an option. What if they don't have those material goods you suggested, but instead pay a lot for good schools for their kids. Maybe they live in a small apartment and can't plant a garden, or where they live forbids it. Yes some people are doing things others disagree with but some are truly struggling in this economy. And with policies doing all they can to encourage more children and jobs and raises more scarce than ever, what are we to do.
