John UK wrote: When the Lord of Glory came to me and called me by grace, I did not have a pastor, nor was I attending a church. I had no interest at all in religion, and it was an amazing thing that the Lord Jesus should come to me of all people, turning me around and giving me eternal life which I deserved not. At the time of my calling I had no understanding of the deity of Christ or the Holy Trinity or any other doctrine, except that I was a guilty sinner before God, bound for hell, that Jesus was Lord of all, that Jesus had died to save sinners by bearing their sins on the Cross, and that my own works could only carry me off to hell, and that forever, without parole. If you imagine vainly that the Lord Jesus requires a full comprehension of doctrinal matters before he pronounces a sinner forgiven and gives them eternal life, you need to read a New Testament and make a few observations. What a wonderful testimony John. It is a blessing to me to read your post this morning. |

Now I'm really confused.NOTbyworks posted on 3/10/12 @ 11:37 AMTo "repent and (really) be baptised" the sinner requires first the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. Without Him the sinner is unable to discern, dead in sin, at enmity with God. Then posted on 3/18/12 @ 5:47 PM. John 14:16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may ABIDE with you for ever; 17 Even the Spirit of truth; "WHOM THE WORLD CANNOT RECEIVE", because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth [1] WITH YOU, and [2] (FUTURE TENSE) SHALL BE *IN* YOU. It just seems like this scripture contradicts the whole argument NOTbyworks is trying to make. |

Here we go again. This publicity hound just can't help himself, apparently.Even goes so far as to say that his false prophesy was used to advance the cause of Christ.I,for one,do not believe that God uses lies and deceit to draw believers to Himself, and to claim such a thing is blasphemous. All this does,in effect,is to show unbelievers and God-haters how right their thinking about "Christians" really is. Harold camping,in reality,is no different than a politician caught in a lie. He's just trying to spin the "story",and do as much damage control as possible.Besides the publicity was waning and he needs to stay in the spotlight as much as possible.Like I said, He Just Can't Help Himself. |

San Jose John wrote: Getting back to the logo, is it just me or does it look like people are ascending out of a manhole/sewer? Looks to me like the proponents of this emerging immoral situation are communicating more than they realize! Interesting observation. When I first saw it,I thought it looked like people in a pit reaching out for help. |

Not your pope wrote: Amish benefits: Follow the Bible. Men are manly. Women are womenly. Divorce is unthinkable. Families are whole and growing. Margaret Sanger's Pill, abortion and sterilization are unknown. How to join? Buy acreage and farm adjacent to Amish property. Eschew the power grid and indoor plumbing. Befriend your Amish neighbors. After 2-3 years, be invited to their Sunday meetings of the church. Viola. You're Amish. Do you know any Amish families personally? I have known some Amish who were very clannish and not too trusting of outsiders. From my experience it would be difficult to become Amish. |
