'A faithful servant now with His Lord and Saviour' If this was Dr Campbell's last sermon it is a fitting tribute and remebrancer to his ministry, Christian faith and testimony. Have we that same 'ultimate assurance' that if we die to day, we will be in Glory, in Heaven, with Christ for all eternity? Our ultimate need?

It is with immense sadness that we announce the passing of Rev Dr Iain D Campbell, minister of Point/Knock Free Church. Last Sunday Dr Campbell was transferred from the Western Isles Hospital to Glasgow where he passed away early this morning. He was 53...We extend our deepest and prayerful sympathies to Iain’s wife, Anne, their children: Iain, Stephen and Emily, his mother, Lily, together with the wider family.
Interesting Roman census (Luke 2:1-4). Is it likely that this was in late December/January and on what grounds? It does appear we are left with 'tradition' around the late second century AD and even then not one word about December 25th. It would be interesting if you could give details why the Puritans decided against the December 25th and January 6th time period.
2Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. 3For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; 4And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.
So Jim with that verse , are u saying that whoever wrote the kjv is speaking into thin air! I use it and I can understand it so obviously not speaking into thin air. That's way out of context unless u meant it differently Please explain.
It's so sad to hear of things like this. These ppl in that church are going to be affected by this for a long time. We should pray for Henderson County church and members ! May god give them all wisdom.
