They should vote on what color carpet to put in the building, not on whether or not they should obey the written word of God. The only reason they see fit to vote on such things is because their final authority is not the holy scriptures. Their final authority is the opinion of confused people. |

"predestination: the belief that before time's dawn, God decided whom he would save (or not)"This is false doctrine. The holy scriptures clearly teach that it is God's will for all men to be eternally saved. When a sinner dies and goes to hell it is against God's will. God wanted that sinner to repent but the sinner refused. Calvinism is not Calvinism, it is Jerome-ism; Jerome-ism is not Jerome-ism, it is Fatalism. 1 Timothy 2 1. I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; 2. For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. 3. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; 4. Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. |

1 John 2:2 And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world. Some people read this verse as saying "...for the sins of the whole world [of the elect.]" Let's see if that interpretation holds true: 1 John 2 15. Love not the world [of the elect], neither the things that are in the world [of the elect]. If any man love the world [of the elect], the love of the Father is not in him. 16. For all that is in the world [of the elect], the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world [of the elect]. 17. And the world [of the elect] passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever. It does not make sense to read it that way; So, why change it in verse 2? If it does not line up with your theology then change your theology, don't change the Bible. |

Jim, Do you really think Mike Vlach and William W.Combs are actually helping people by telling them their Bible has many errors and defects and that it really does not matter because it is good enough? I'm not buying what they're selling. Their writings sound a lot like the serpent in the garden convincing Eve that she couldn't trust what God had said. These men are deceived on this particular issue. They are attacking the word of God. I'm thankful I can trust every verse in the KJV, including 1 John 5:7 and Mark 16:9-20. |

Dr. Wallace said, "...the more manuscripts we analyze, the closer we will be to the original wording of the New Testament."Dr. Wallace is confused and devils are using his work to overthrow the faith of some. The original wording of the New Testament has never been lost. Simple faith in what God has promised concerning His preservation of His exact words forever settles the issue for those who believe. Instead of looking for more manuscripts to change the words of God just stick to the KJV and its underlying texts. This Laodicean age with its apostate scholarship is not the time to be messing around with the wording of the Holy Bible. Psalms 119:89 For ever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven. |

It is sad when any person dies. Whether D. James Kennedy was born again or not is not for us to say. I pray his family is born again and drawing near to our Lord Jesus Christ in their time of grieving. There are some things we need to be aware of, though, concerning Kennedy's ministry. He had a long and open history of ecumenism. There was even a "gospel" message on his website by Pope Benedict. If you think I'm mean spirited for saying it you need revival. Listen to this sermon by Pastor Ralph Ovadal: The Serpent's Hiss http://www.sermonaudio.com/sermoninfo.asp?SID=7306173545 |
