Dear Dorcas

Note well why people on this board have used various names for this person. It is to out him for who he is viz a pretended believer who is only here to win converts to his false religion.

Anyone who has studied his posts will spot the subterfuge, the lies, the errors, the false accusations etc.

How many of the brethren have also said that this person is NOT born again? I believe they are all right. He is an RCC religionists; an apologist for their system, conversant with all strategies of the Jesuits.

All the more reason for people like you to contribute so that there are many voices against this gross error.

Thankyou brother John, for your kind words.
Our whole family on both sides are RC,so we feel our mission field is them. But alas the Lord has not opened their hearts yet to the glorious gospel.Most of the family ignore us or we have been accused of being fanatics.lol.
Have also encountered some in the church who think that RC are Christians,and that we are wrong in thinking they are not.so sad!
May the Lord bless your witness and use it to turn hearts to himself.

Only trust in the Lord dear sister and he will do great things.

After the service Timothy baptized some of your recent converts. Then he touched two with chronic diseases and they were immediately and miraculously healed. One woman who hadn't walked in years, touched the hem of his robes, leaped to her feet and gave thanks to Jesus. The Apostle Timothy certainly has a gift of healing and miracles. You ponder as you lie awake, doesn't this also apply to baptism? Perhaps there's a verse about this. "Surely there's something supernatural..." as you drift off to sleep.

Before outlining, you open your Matthew scroll (to Chapter 3), thoroughly read the first 10 sentences several times then lean back to stretch and contemplate. It does state there were adults because they confessed their sins. Then you wonder what the children did. Did they all sit quietly on the banks of the Jordan or did some follow their parents (those who could walk) and even a few mimic mom and dad? As one with Down Syndrome came up, John touched his head and said, "Peace be with ye." Then John touched a babe in arms with dripping hands saying, "Peace little one." Then you come to, realizing time is short before Sunday morning. Is John's baptism only for adults and older children who stated their confession? Perhaps, but you're still not crystal clear. All you know is you've got to finish the outline today. Abraham's circumcision rolls through your mind as you consider his (eventual?) repentance. Can you biblically preside over it? You glance down at your scroll as you seek the Holy Spirit's help to understand these important teachings.

Before I respond to your bizarre question, I would be grateful if you would show some Christian etiquette and respond to my previous answer. Thank you.

While outlining Sunday's sermon, a smiling member (who owns a network of regional banks) enters your office to share the good news of the birth of his first son, Abraham. He asks you to preside over the circumcision gathering at his sprawling estate next week which he anticipates will include all of your elders, most members of your flock and many townspeople. How do you biblically and lovingly respond to this wonderful news?

Matthew 3:1-9 KJV
1 In those days came John the Baptist, preaching in the wilderness of Judaea,
2 And saying, Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
3 For this is he that was spoken of by the prophet Esaias, saying, The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight.
4 And the same John had his raiment of camel's hair, and a leathern girdle about his loins; and his meat was locusts and wild honey.
5 Then went out to him Jerusalem, and all Judaea, and all the region round about Jordan,
6 And were baptized of him in Jordan, confessing their sins.
7 But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees come to his

Timothy arrived just before the service and departed at sunrise. He didn't leave any scrolls since copies were still being prepared.

Perhaps if you share passages from the OT, Matthew, John and quote from Timothy's sermon (based on your elders' notes), you can help your congregation understand what the Lord would have you do about this bumper crop of babies. Obviously you don't want to be a legalist, you just want to follow the Lord's will and keep your growing flock together.

Timothy visited a few months ago and preached from the Scriptures about the family during your Sunday evening service. He briefly mentioned circumcision and baptism, but you can't remember exactly what was said since you were in the back changing one of your crying little ones. Do you consult your elders during your Wednesday meeting to fill-in these details?

Since your members have heard you read from your Matthew and John scrolls (neither you nor your congregation has had access to any other scrolls), what ordinance would they presume is required for their newborns (if any)? What verses from Matthew and John would the Holy Spirit direct you to cite?

If you "skip it" you sense an urgency to preach this Lord's Day explaining why, so that many of your members are prevented from re-verting to Judaism. After hearing this great news, you quickly reopen the Scroll, however what verses will you share with your flock?

Blessings, you skip it.

You're the preacher in a 1st Century Christian congregation reading the Scriptures when one week you hear of a flood of babies being born begging the question about what to do to commemorate their 8th day. Who or what do you consult (if you even do) to determine if they should be circumcised (males only), baptized (males only or all) or should you just skip this 2,500 year celebration? Note that 90% of your members are of Hebrew heritage. What is the way forward?

John UK wrote:
Now it is becoming increasingly clear why it is that the OT scriptures MUST be understood in the light of the NT revelation, and not the other way around. If a person had only the OT, it could well be misunderstood, and false doctrine produced. But now we have the NT, there is no excuse.

When upon life's billows you are tempest-tossed,
When you are discouraged, thinking all is lost,
Count your many blessings, name them one by one,
And it will surprise you what the Lord hath done.

Refrain:
Count your blessings, name them one by one;
Count your blessings, see what God hath done;
Count your blessings, name them one by one;
Count your many blessings, see what God hath done.

Are you ever burdened with a load of care?
Does the cross seem heavy you are called to bear?
Count your many blessings; ev'ry doubt will fly,
And you will be singing as the days go by.

When you look at others with their lands and gold,
Think that Christ has promised you His wealth untold;
Count your many blessings, money cannot buy
Your reward in heaven, nor your home on high.

So amid the conflict, whether great or small,
Do not be discouraged, God is over all;
Count your many blessings, angels will attend,
Help and comfort give you to your journey's end.
