It is true that homosexuality is a sin but it is a sin and a major crime for a pastor such as Chuck Phelps to protect a Rapist and cover up a crime of rape. What kind of credability does someone like Chuck Phelps or BJU have now? NONE! Why because one is doing a crime like protecting a now convicted rapist, Chuck Phleps and BJU wanted Chuck to teach of all things Church Discipline and become a member of BJU's board.

This is so hypocrital and sic. How can we let people know about the love of Jesus that paid for all sin and we are all worthy of hell and why would a saved person look down and trash a person living in any sin instead of doing our best to show them the love of Christ. We, that are saved already know what a sin is and that only the blood of Christ can cover sin. People that are in any sin jsut need to be covered by the blood of Christ.

But then you have the Religious Pharasees Like Chuck Phelps that Lied to his own church and covered up a rape and trashed the little raped girl, Tina Anderson & BJU has the gull to invite chuck Phelps to teach ethics at BJU when Chuck also lied and mislead people about the rape as if the rapist just had an afair & Tina got preganant by some kid. So a rapist ran free in his church for 7 years. Chuck Phelps & BJU are wicked

I agree with former supporter. We are not to build up dynasty's or empires for ourselves or build a specific brand of Christianity for a few to control.

That is not why we should be telling the simple gospel and our only alegiance should be to Christ only and not a man "like a Bob Jones" or equivalent. Know owns the truth but Christ.

We are not, if called, to build big buildings sometimes called God's houses. He only lives I'm the heart of men.

It was easy to know in the past who loved the Gospel of Christ because they did everything for Christ & not passing down a thrown to the next Jones boy.

Former supporter, shazam. You are hitting this on the head.

It does appear to be a very bad decision for BJU to put Chuck Phelps on their board of trustees. I am also in dis belief but this is a good thing for two reasons or more.

It shows that deceptive, cunning, wicked, arrogant, lawlessness mess Chuck Phelps acted under. Also it shows the contempt for those who really do believe that Chuck Phelps should resign as a pastor never to return to the ministry.

Bob Jones by supporting and accepting Chuck Phelps on their board will bring their credibility down at least a few notches and they will loose all or almost all any ground to ever morally stand on.

This is what happens when you forget you are suppose to be doing God's work and not build you own personal empire.

Pride Pride. Comes before the fall and possibly loose all moral ground and credibilty for such a pride filled in their hearts decision. May God grant them what they deserve.

This is about Chuck Phelps and if he should even be allowed in the ministry anymore in any church, much less be on the board of Bob Jones university, after lying to his congregation, no written police report ever was made by Chuck Phelps, trying to minimize his role in shipping Tina Anderson off to another location in Colorado, for making Tina feel guilty about bring raped and responsible so she would be embarraced and not say anything, for allowing the Rapist to stay in his church with no other members being told that he, Ernest Willis, wads pedifile - rapist thug.

Does anyone really believe that a guy like this Chuck Phelps should even call himself a pastor?

Should BJU put him on Their board? I don,t think for one minute That this pastor should have any spiritual authority over human being of any kind.

Jim, you can look on google for the court transcripts to show that Chuck is dishonest about how he handled the rape molestation of TinaAnderson. Chuck Phelps stated this in court I just seen the video footage of Chuck telling the prosecutor that Ernest Willis, the Rapist, told me that he was the Aggressor. The he has said before & after the trial that Tina was a dating Ernest voluntary. If she was dating Willis voluntarily instead of being raped then she would have been close to 50 percent wrong & not 1 percent wrong as Chuck told her. So in Chuck's mind he knew she was a real victim but he did not want to loose the Rapist & his family or hear and explain why he had a child molesting rapist in the Curch and Tina was just to easy to con
At her age and this crime seemed to easy to hide. This is why Chuck Phelps did this and it was not because he cared about anyone's family or a victim. No but rather it got in the way of his career path. After all he has a Doctorate Degree from BJU proving now that his degree is worthless because even a believer that is a mere 15 years old while Beeing jumped on by Chuck's admired pedefile friend & impregnated, lied about, shipped off to an un known land while Chuck & Ernie thought they got away with it, Tina's friend Jesus shines light

I think after talking and listening to so many people and the frustration that is out there is curious and bewildered about Bob Jone III & what makes him make such terrible decisions.

Some out there are believing it when they say that only a high level mason and a person who loves high level masonry could act this way.

What this means is that Bob Jones III is clearly acting as a renegade against real christian behavior which is the opposite of installing a Pastor like Chuck Phelps on the BJU Board but we as Christians, as true believers should ask Tina Anderson to forgive BOB Jones III, BJU & especially the Colonial Hills Baptist Curch Deacons & Members that do not have the guts to say to Chuck Phelps, we want your resignation. Bob Jones III should be championing this cause as well. If anyone deserves a break it should be Tina, which is bar far more of an example of real Christianity that those two sorry good old boys that give Christianity a bad name. I think that BJU And CHBC is only good at being partisan in their personal business ambitions and not truly seeking Gods perfect will. Proof of this Bob & Cuck trashing Tina the victim while honoring repentless Chuck as he climbs the BJU business ladder One victim soul at a time. Bob R U A Christian or A Mason?

Yes, and one of the deacons at Colonial Hills Baptist Curch in Indy where Chuck Phelps is now the pastor apparently had the David Gibbs Attorneys meet with them and this is what he confirmed the Gibbs Attorneys said. They said if anyone comes to you here at Colonial Hills Baptist Church and wants questions answered, any questions such as why did Chuck not go down to the Police station and do a written report? Or why did the NH Church members say that Chuck said to them that Tina pregnancy was not caused by Ernest Willis but that they were two different situation? Why did Chuck Phelps not tell the people in NH the truth and warn them that they had a rapist - child predator in their midst? The deacon said the Gibbs attorneys instructed the deacons and their wives that they could answer any and all questions but only in private & in person with their Deacon and Pastor Chuck Phelps and not any questions ever to be answered via email. This sounds like they need to keep Chuck's story straight. If he is not hiding anything and he has such great notes and tells his people not to watch the 2020 episode what does this tell us. It tells us that there is a fear of himself, Chuck deacons & BJU are worried that people may get enough info to connect the dots to am obvious cover up. Sad

Jim, overall well said. I think I understand what former supporter is trying to get acrossed. He thinks the smoking gun or guns for the motive of not just Chuch Phelps telling the congregation that Ernest & Tina's connections through rape & pregnancy are not really connected at all but now we know that he told an in truth. Secondly he is saying that if you follow the behavior of how Chuck treated her in that he tried to make her feel guilty and responsible and made her stay in his personal home with no connection to the outside world until she was sent to Colorado. This does give pause to what former supporter is saying in that Chuck Phelps did do the most he could have done to keep the truth from his church & also he did the bare minimum that he felt he legally had to do to at least say he tried. Also, Chuck s did the most he could do to silence Tina by intimidation, bible threats and keeping Tina captive in his own home until she was in Colorado. It is now making sence to me that would always give the benefit of any doubt but the puzzle of behavior paints a perfect picture of a well attempted cover up not only during but after the trial that found Ernest guilty of 4 counts of rape. I now beleve also that this was for sure a cover up that can not endure more light.
