It's sad to see SermonAudio putting this alarmist conspiracy theorist garbage on their homepage. The denomination is riddled with issues, but they have plenty of prominent leadership dealing with it head-on. Ever since MLK50 a certain demographic of evangelicals have taken them on with an aggressive campaign of slander, and you can bet it finds its roots in their alt-right white supremacist news media sources. That doesn't make them white supremacists, but it does make them undiscerning readers. Be careful brothers and sisters. Idolatry in the church regarding race issues exists on BOTH SIDES, and it is a sneaky demon. Nuance, compassion, and a heart for reconciliation is all that will heal this divide.
Possibly The Best Sermon On This Text I was present for the recording of this sermon and I must say that it was possible the best sermon preached on this text in modern times. Paul Thompson has shown us that even though our culture may tell us one thing, there are no wasted words in scripture and it always triumphs!
Thx for the recommendation! Thanks for making me aware of the hedge God put around all He gave me, my responsibility for the condition on the inside of that hedge and His promise to patch wherever needed if I only repent and ask Him to help me...
No substitute in Twilight Nothing "good" about Twilight, Rose.
Isaiah 5:20 (King James Version)
20Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!
Thats the whole point. It is Jesus blood that saves us from hell and protects us from sin. Stephanie Meyers replaces Jesus with Edward.
Great Sermon! This was a true blessing for me. I have been Reformed now for many years by God's grace, but I grew up in a Pentecostal church. I have come to a cessationist position, based mainly on my observations of the ridiculous things I have seen since my childhood tauted to be the work of the Holy Spirit. This sermon was a great help for me to systematize my thinking on this subject. Even when I did my MDiv, this subject was glossed over because it was a Reformed school and it was taken for granted that we were all cessationists. I was, but I didn't have a good Scriptural reason for it. Now I do. Thank you. I am grateful to all the Free Presbyterian preachers for their excellent exegetical skills. Someone is doing something right in training these men for the ministry.
Great Sermon! In a previous message, Dr Paisley descibed this talk as "white hot." That was no overstatement! We need more debunkers of popery. God bless Dr Paisley for his uncompromising standfor the principles of the Reformation.
Powerful Debate The most powerful part of the debate, in my estimation, was when Dr. Paisley mentioned Dr. Brown's ordination. Brown was ordained upon profession of adherence to the Articles of the Church of Ireland. If a person claims to believe or adhere to the doctrines of his church in order to be ordained, then his ordination is a sham when he backs down from those beliefs - and he should have the decency to realize and admit that. I wish there were more eloquent defenders of the Reformed postion regarding Rome. I wouldn't want to be on the opposing side of any subject in a debate with Dr. Paisley. I was very blessed.
Great Sermon! I came across your teachings when listening to a number of speakers on sermanaudio.com while prepairing for a study on the book of Isaiah my pastor is allowing me to teach.Ive been working my way through all of your sermans and find your material among the best Ive ever heard. Thanks
