“ Great Sermon! ”
AMEN! Love your sermon on Union with Christ! As I put in my book; "remember Galatians 2:20 because of Colossians 3:3"

In reading John 14:2 one day, I realized house is "household" like in Php. 4:22. Also the word "mansions" (and abode) is only used twice in the NT = John 14:2 & 23. I started seeing a completely different thought in John 14. Jesus & the Father (HOLY SPIRIT) came back to dwell in us and transform us! I have been enjoying that INTIMACY with the LORD for over 35 years when I entered "HIS rest" (Hebrews 4:10) My salvation started when I was 9yrs old (67 yrs. ago).

“ Great Sermon! ”
Being a believer for 20years & striving to please God by 'doing', I still felt it wasn't enough. I finally asked God to "take away anything in my life that keeps me from 'knowing' You intimately." A few weeks later trials came (humbling me) and after struggling for sever years, I told God, "I give up; put me on the shelf, and never use me. I will only read your Word to know YOU!" That is when HE said, "I have been waiting for you to give up; I have been Jealous of you." God showed me that my 'love' for HIS Word, my 'love' to worship HIM, and my 'love' to witness was not me but HIS Son in me. I experienced Gal. 2:20 and enter HIS Rest-Hebrews 4:10

Love the sermon! This is what we are missing from our churches! When we understand this "Denying Self", God will test us to show us what is in our heart and gives us HIS grace & power to repent and face every trial as HE reveals HIMSELF to us as HE becomes our LIFE, TREASURE, SECURITY, LOVER & more!

I enjoyed this sermon as it goes along with Jesus in us "building the image of Himself (mansion) in us", as HE is always with us. I've had this Idea years ago when I realized the word mansion is used only twice; in verse 2 & 23 (abode). This changed my perspective away from a physical dwelling to the spiritual (In the Holy of Holies!).

“ Great Sermon! ”
It reminds me when I came across 2Corinthians 2:3,4 -Upon reading these verses while going through great trials gave me a comfort to have greater faith in my LORD! All of those trials have allowed me to comfort many others in their trials for these past 45 years in a greater way as many came to Christ. My trials started 3 months after praying: "Holy Father, prune me so I may know You intimately and let me know I am in Your will." The trials let me experience a HOPE that I knew was all going to be for God's Glory and to taste the more of Christ within. (Heb.6:19, Psalm 42:11, Phil.3:10)

Thank you! I miss hearing great sermons like this. Being raised in New Orleans, our church taught us 2Timothy 3:12 even at 12years old; and how true it was. (also Matthew 10:38, 39 & Luke 14:26, 27)

“ Great Sermon! ”
This is one of my poems I wrote after I learned to let the Lord create a clean heart in me; which HE continually does now. GLORIFIED IN HOPE Many have experienced the emotion Of the hope in heaven someday, But few have come to know the ONE Who is HOPE in these bodies of clay. When we’re willing for God to test us He unveils His Glory within, Revealing the riches we have in Christ, For we’re made complete in Him The presence of Christ is our Glory. Glory that fades not away. Hope that lets us stand the tests, For in trials, His fruit, He’ll display. When we learn to give Him full control His voice, in tests, we’ll hear. For Hope is the Glory of His very SELF As He casts out doubt and fear. Having Faith, Meekness, and Self-control And filled with His Love, Joy and Peace; His Patience, Kindness, & Goodness will flow, For our HOPE is knowing He’s well pleased. MPD 9/17/1989

Great Sermon! It reminds me when our church sang "In the Garden" which my my favorite childhood hymn. It brought memories back when I had epilepsy and other kids made fun of me. Self-pity started filling me because of missing having boy friends or dates in school. The LORD then spoke to my heart and said "That illness was MY Love-gift to you." All I could think of was how painful it was. HE then said, "Didn't it protect you from the wrong crowd?" I then saw how much HE loved even in the afflictions of life. (Raised in New Orleans, I would have been on Bourbon St. with my background.) I have learned to see God in all areas of my life.

My favorite scripture is to ask the JW to let me see his bible and read John 1:1 to him and then say "I see you believe in a big God and a little god ." i.e They know the small god stand for Jesus. I then say I believe in only One God who has revealed Himself IN Jesus Christ because we do not have 2 Everlasting Fathers (Isa.9:6) because they know that verse talks about Jesus. They usually would stop me and say He is only the mighty god and not the Almighty.

Love this sermon. I was reminded years ago, when my oldest son let home at 16yrs. old. The day he left, I said to myself, "I am a no good mother who failed." Immediately the Lord spoke to my heart and said, "No, Molly, you did just what I wanted you to teach him. Just let him go as I just wanted you to know how I feel when my children rebel." I couldn't hardly believe the joy I experienced in the midst of that pain (storm).

I have been very uplifted to hear this kind of preaching. I liked especially the "if" of being a joint-heir, but most Christians are not willing to suffer with HIM and are satisfied with just being an heir (having a small portion). We don't want God to prune us.
