That was me ...I could’ve saved years of counselling if I’d heard this message back then....
Actually, no, I was too out of balance with (diagnosed) depression to have even had it register.
And I praise God that today, He’s got me and I am a new creature, nowhere near that person anymore.
I love the Lord because...after 23 years saved, this comment box isn’t big enough |

Awesome!! I was privileged to watch the entire broadcast, and I've never seen an ordination service before. Incredibly moving, spiritually, and I'm rejoicing with BBBCJax and Bro. Chris. I was blessed by the entire Jubilee, and if I could, you bet I'd move to Jacksonville to be a part of that church. There's a few Bible-correcting IFB churches around here, but none that are as on fire and 100% faithful to the Book (not "the originals") as J'ville, and P'cola.
God bless you! |

Preach it!! Loved this message. It needs to be said, and it needs to be heard. I know it's Laodicea, but I hate, hate, hate the wimpy, self-focused Christianity that is so prevalent today. The Christianity that says Jesus died not just for our salvation, but because He wants us to be happy. Anti-scriptural trash encouraged by watered down modern versions that have Satan laughing in too many church pews. |

Great Sermon! Just a note to let you know how much I appreciated this sermon. In my mind, Luke 2:1-7 is forever my Christmas passage because around about the late 1970s, I got to read it (from the KJV) two years in a row in front of the congregation during the Candlelight service at the United church my parents let me attend as a child. I was no more than 10 or 11 years old and my main reason for going to that church was the Youth Choir. (I was 29 when the Lord saved me.) I don't recall ever hearing the passage preached, though, until now. |

Great Sermon! I was recently reminded of how words endure and how images are temporary.
An aged friend is moving, and as she cleaned house, she disposed of a drawer full of photographs because she said all the people in them have died and no one knows who they are anymore.
Contrast that with the enduring legacy of the words of past preachers or historical literary writers and it's very telling as to how the Enemy is using his control today. And of course, the words God gave us in the Bible will endure forever, but that doesn't keep the Enemy from trying various means to destroy them. |

Finally! Thank you! For my twenty years as a Christian, I haven't been as victorious as I'd like to be or ideally should be because I've been "putting off the jacket" and "putting on" a nicer coat instead. I spend so much time being unsuccessful with those two that I've never really gotten as far as "putting away."
This explanation is so much easier, and in Christ's strength, attainable. I can "put off" doing those things the flesh demands by waiting till tomorrow because I'm already a highly skilled procrastinator. I can "put on" because as with preaching, so with special music in church and other stuff in life so I know what it is to pretend.
That leaves "putting away," and my closets already attest to my ability to accomplish that when I need to tidy up....
Encouraging message.
Much appreciated. |

Amen!!! I’m ten minutes into this sermon and I just had to write to say A thousand times Amen! Praise God! and thank you for so directly upholding the Lord’s holiness and the church’s sanctity. I am sick of selfie-driven Christianity and that much more thankful for the few Bible believing, old paths preachers and teachers who remain for the glory of God. |

Much-Needed Reminders 1 NOT I, but Christ, be honoured, loved, exalted;
Not I, but Christ, be seen, be known, be heard;
Not I, but Christ, in every look and action;
Not I, but Christ, in every thought and word.
2 Not I, but Christ, to gently soothe in sorrow;
Not I, but Christ, to wipe the falling tear;
Not I, but Christ, to lift the weary burden;
Not I, but Christ, to hush away all fear.
3 Not I, but Christ, in lowly, silent labour;
Not I, but Christ, in humble, earnest toil;
Christ, only Christ! no show, no ostentation;
Christ, none but Christ, the gatherer of the spoil.
4 Christ, only Christ, ere long will fill my vision;
Glory excelling, soon, full soon, I'll see ---
Christ, only Christ, my every wish fulfilling ---
Christ, only Christ, my All in all to be.
Spiritual Songs, Hymn 344
