CONTEXT,CONTEXT!! I often check for you guy on sermon audio (And still will make no mistakes about it) but did you guys watch or listen to each session from start to finish....Granted he definitely swept with a wide broom, and some of the coins on the floor made it to the trash can by mistake....But add up the combine number of catholics, mormons, oneness penticostals, word of faith etc around the world who have a charismatic form of worship....Where God is still speaking!!...How can we say "scripture alone".....an then, plus some impression you claim God put on you heart as prophecy.....look i'll get the coins out the trash later!! |

The scripture says "if any man speaks, let him speak as an oracle(mouthpiece) of God", not, Listen to a worldly "classic comedy show" and then you can meet the pastor over tea or coffee! This "way" is not followed by any of the apostles, pastors, or evangelists in the new testamet church! This is clearly an example of 21st century culture influencing the church. In fact, the early church and modern day martrys in comunist countries are being persecuted and paying the price for the gospel they preach with thier lives, not a song, dance, and slapstick, from Laurel and Hardy. The word shows us the pattern In Mat 3, John preached " repent(turn around from unrighteousness)the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand, then Jesus himself in Mat 4:17 preached "repent, the kingdom is at hand", Jesus also in Luke 13:3 said" I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish." Throughout the book of Acts, Peter, Paul, and the other disciples of Christ in chpters 2, 3, 8, 17 and 26 used the word repent. In Acts 17:30 Paul said "And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth ALL MEN EVERY WHERE TO REPENT: 31 Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he ordained". Repent first, then you can laugh! |
