Penny, here’s what you said,“didn't he just have to step down from the college?... did not some of these same gentlemen tell a generation to remain politically silent? what really goes on behind the scenes? how much of what we hear is through the careful eyes of a lawyer team?” Accusations: 1. Stepping down from the college. 2. Telling men to remain politically quiet. 3. Things go on behind the scenes. 4. The whole lawyer thing. And now you’re trying to shift the burden of proof. I’m not to try to find out if they said it, you are to provide evidence. If you accuse someone of something you should have the integrity to provide proof... |

The person making a claim is to provide the source. I’m not saying the quote is or is not, I’m just saying that when someone makes a claim about someone, it seems proper to provide documentation. If I said, “Did you know that Ken Ham said that Islam is the only true religion?” You would say, “Where’s the beef, where did Ken say that.” I’m sure if I replied, “Oh, it’s on YouTube” that reply wouldn’t settle well with you, and rightfully so. It is on the person (in that case, me) to provide documentation so that you can check out the source to see if it is taken out of context, if it is reliable, etc. Just trying to help out, read my first post, it had nothing to do with Bush, per se, it had to do with helping sc to build a good case. |

You need to read this post out loud, like a TV charismatic preacher. With that said:Since the beginning of our life, we have been bound by the fetters of this human body, but no longer! Let us all lift our hands to the heavens, and declare with boldness your spirit veggie! For I say unto you, that whether you are a grape, a tomato, a pare, gourd or pea, you will all be equal, let no man judge you, just be who you were meant to be... |

What's ironic is that the show teaches kids good moral values (The golden rule) and it has veggies from all over the veggie universe. It has German veggies , Scottish veggies, Mexican veggies, British veggies, French veggies, etc. and I think all of them play as both good guys and bad guys. By alas, The Babylon Bee has helped us out once again: https://babylonbee.com/news/veggietales-producers-apologize-for-episode-where-larry-the-cucumber-joins-the-kkk As for me, I have determined to listen to only veggie tales songs for today. |

@sc, I don’t think you see John’s point. Why would God demand that a Nazirite not drink wine if it was already established that no one is to drink alcoholic beverages ? John UK is not saying that Jesus was a Nazerite. And if I may be so bold as to suggest that your tradition is getting in the way of how you read scripture in respect to this topic. I gave 4 verses that don’t condemn alcohol, 1 of which God gives to His people, and one of which He turns water into wine. If you want to say that both the Old and New Testament mean “grape juice” can you provide us with the Greek and Hebrew word for grape juice? |
