👍Kev. Honestly I read the scripture from Mark to my 8 year old grandson, without leading him to a particular bias, and well he read and understood it fit what it was. A command to the disciples speaking of what will happen to those THEY baptized. Note, not ask talk with tongues, do they? Not all preach, do they? Etc |

Again what is the gift of the Spirit spoken of in acts? I would suggest quite strongly it is a quickening, a regeneration of the heart, a New birth.Question. what is the use in mysteries or mysterious prayer? If we are emphatically told that all things must be with order, our Lord is not one of caos, but he is cosmos, he is a good of order |

Kev, you said better than I. Why is the list of gifts in Romans 12:3/13 different to the apostolic gifts described in Corinthians? Context is they All to obvious key. Romans possibly the best writing ever put to paper is there for us to take direction from regarding everything contained in God's word and our expected obedience to God as ones wishing to please or creator. The Corinthian epistles were written as a scathing example of how Not to behave, and was specifically given to those I Corinth to address their practice of worship, in their instance and time, not rocket science |

It's speaking in mysteries edify to anyone. Take into account the entirely of the chapter, then the epistle, then the 3 epistles then the whole council of God, one can see Paul isn't using these verses as a positive affirmation, but to the contrary |

As discerning Christian will notice, of you edify only yourself, what use of this, all things are to be done for edification of the church. So please for the sake of the New converts, please don't you carry on, it serves only to muddy the waters and confound and confuse, those two mixed with Doubt are the serpents best weapons |

Again exactly Chase, In acts. The Jews received the gospel, with tongues and prophecy, revelation. The Samaritans received the Gospel with tongues signs and wonders to attest to the authenticity of the new revelation. Then in Cornelius' house, again apostolic gifts accompanied the new revelation |

Agreed chase, and G'day Kev oldmate. The job if the Holy Spirit is to give glory to God!! But we find in every modern day instance the glory goes to the Holy Spirit that's the Opposite of what the Bible says. |

Elder Brother observer, dearest Shane, I think it is a question of salvation if someone remains in that train of thought and pushes apostolic gifts for today, as it always leads to false worship, which in essence is idolatry and of Satan not God |

It's unfortunate for the brethren that fools spew their own form of religion, it just confuses the poor in spirit, once again exposing the stumbling blocks they devilishly put before the New convert |

Again some nous is needed, Mark 16 tells us that the apostles will know the true believers to entrust the early church with because, they'll display sign gifts, it doesn't say that every generation the after. Jesus says quite plainly those the Apostles baptise, if there are genuine, they'll display gifts. A classic example of a worker of Satan is to use scripture, mixed with their own lies, as is evident right here right now, again John you sir are no different to those we're warned of in Galatians, only you most certainly are not an apostle or an angel from heaven, |

John, I'm forced to say what any discerning person should, be quite, you've displayed nothing but complete disregard for the word for years now on this site, you've been exposed time and again, you sir are a wolf in sheep's clothing, I pray you repent of your ways, I've only ever tried to help, but you sir push another Gospel than God |

This is an important subject, as it's helping many find their way to Hell not heaven in our day, I may seem monotonous on this thread, but I refuse to let people and their experience, or their lack of knowledge to be a catalyst for further backing of these lies. Point blank, I show scripture in context till the cows come home to refute what others cannot and won't refute with scripture, as you can't, because there isn't any scripture to support these false teachers, actually again scripture unequivocally makes itself clear on the matter for those that want truth |

Agreed chase, thankyou for the emoji apology to Shane, as we all know that emoji would've shocked someone like me, ☺️. Unfortunately people will continue to back their position but fall flat when it comes to scriptural support for this deception |

Well 100% I will openly say that if you're defending modern day apostolic gifts, you're wolf in sheep's clothing. |
