“ Informative Sermon! ”
Surely a true believer would not be fooled by such men for long. And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers. John 10:5

“ Great Sermon! ”
That was a good clear explanation of what the blasphemy of the Holy Spirit actually is and is not. Thank you.

I should clarify that there are times when cutting off our hair is a necessaesity - I know a few missionaries who had their hair shaved when they contracted a skin diseases while in Uganda. And the woman who fights cancer and looses her hair, like my mother. God cares about our outward appearance but looks at our heart.

Awakened, the Greek states it as a "woman", not necessarily married, but possibly so. The headcovering shows a submission as a woman to the created order of man and I think a solid case could be made for this pertaining to a woman whether married or not for that very reason.

Jessica - take heart dear sister! Long hair is a special covering given by God as a crown to us women. HOWEVER, there is no definition on the exact length and this is God's grace. The arthritic limbs that cannot care for hair (or a myriad of other reasons) should not bring us disgrace as long as we are not purposely cutting all of our hair off. We keep it clean and as nice as we can for our beauty does not come from outward adornment, like jewelry and braided hair. But from a gentle and quiet spirit which is of great worth in God's sight! He loves His bride and looks forward to the day when He will complete her beauty in Him!

The headcovering in Corinthians is a separate covering for our hair - not our hair. The reason women are supposed to wear a head covering during worship is because of the created order of man and woman and headship. Outside of corporate worship, our hair serves as a covering and "our glory" but during corporate worship we are to COVER our glory as is befitting a woman who is submitting to God's design. It's a sad thing that it is dismissed as only our hair or a "cultural thing" and no longer practiced in the Church. It is ignored by Pastors, scorned by feminists and dismissed by pretty much everyone else.

Awakened, the Greek states it as a "w

ladybug, thank you!! It seems this video is a broad picture of the book. My husband is dissecting it now (the book, that is; about half way through it) and has ordered a copy to send to some of our relatives who sit on the fence about vacc's.

I think it's a loosing battle, that is, I do believe at some point in the near future it will be mandatory, but for now we have a choice. Choose wisely. Our bodies are not our own and Christians especially should be careful with the vessel we have been given, not to exhault it above the soul, but to care for it while we are on earth and have the means to do so. If someone still feels they should have their children vaccinated, that's their choice. And, if they are so convinced that vaccinations are that great, they also must be protected from those who choose not to, right? So what's the problem??

Did you know that in the early 1990's, in an attempt to create vaccines (including the flu shot) with lesser amounts of aborted baby stem cells used, Pharma turned to using peanut oil derivatives and wheat based derivatives in their vaccines. Flash forward a decade and a half: ever wonder why none of us on the board ever knew anyone (with RARE exception) who couldn't even touch a peanut or couldn't eat bread and NOW they have to ban peanut products from schools and nearly half of the population is in some way "gluten intolerant"? The country of India - a heavy peanut eating people - switched their vaccines at the behest of WHO to this less expensive peanut based vacc's about 5 years before the U.S. It's ranked now as the #1 country for severe peanut allergies in the last two generations. At least ask questions!

pennned, have you ever heard about this book?

"Dissolving Illusions: Disease Vaccines and the Forgotten History"
Dr. Suzanne Humphries and Roman Bystrianyk

I've read it twice now and it's mind numbing - there is SO much information.

Jim, if you'll give me a bit of time to try and find it, that quote you had about the evil, neighbor-hating anti-vaxxers: I believe that is nearly an exact quote from Hitlers regime when he was forcing the Germans to inccoculate their "dirty rotten Jewish neighbors." It was propaganda at it's finest and it spurred on the murder of millions. So sad to see it publicly raise its ugly head once again. It's eugenics. This will always go back to eugenics; well, eugenics and power.

I guess if that helps you sleep at night, Jim. Time has already played this one out in many past governments. "God works so that people will be in awe of Him. Whatever is, has already been, and whatever will be, already is. God repeats what has passed." Ecclesiastes 3:14-15

Maybe if you spent less time being "in awe" of Obama and this administration you would realize the inadequacy of his morals.

Trading liberty for security has NEVER worked!! Even God told the Israelites to trust Him and not establish a king over themselves - look where it got them!!! Perilous times are set before us but we serve the Ruler of kings. I look forward to the day when our current president must bow before His Creator and acknowledge His "Executive Orders" supersede his own.

"But if it doesn’t please you to worship Yahweh, choose for yourselves today the one you will worship: the gods your fathers worshiped beyond the Euphrates River or the gods of the Amorites in whose land you are living. As for me and my family, we will worship Yahweh." Joshua 24:15

As many as 10 years ago the U.S. government schools began adding parts of yogo into their mandatory Physical Education classes. These kids have been doing yogo for some time already. Under Common Core, the teachers have time during each day to instruct the children in meditation and meditation techniques; they teach various poses from these eastern religious practices but it doesn't stop at downward dog - it includes "deep breathing techniques that release your inner spirit so you can reach your full potential and let go of aggression", to name one. And should a Christian feel "uncomfortable" with these practices, well, they covered those bases too because they use this:

"Meditation and the Bible"
"A highly radical interpretation of the Bible demonstrating the methods of meditation used by the Prophets to attain their unique states of consciousness. First English translation from ancient unpublished manuscripts, with commentary."

But then again, these kids are given to Caesar pretty much from birth so we shouldn't be shocked when the system produces "little Roman's".

"But if it doesn’t please you to worship Yahweh, choose for yourselves today the one you will worship: the gods your fathers worshiped beyond the Euphrates River or the gods of the Amorites in whose lan

"The woman who makes a sweet, beautiful home, filling it with love and prayer and purity, is doing something better than anything else her hands could find to do beneath the skies. A true mother is one of the holiest secrets of home happiness. God sends many beautiful things to this world, many noble gifts; but no blessing is richer than that which He bestows in a mother who has learned love's lessons well, and has realized something of the meaning of her sacred calling." J. R. Miller, excerpt from "The Family"

"to be self-controlled, pure, homemakers, kind, and submissive to their husbands, so that God’s message will not be slandered." Titus 2:5

Homemakers: ???????? oikouros; ????? ouros (a guard; be “ware”); a stayer at home, i.e. domestically inclined: keeper at home; caring for the house, working at home; the (watch or) keeper of the house; keeping at home and taking care of household affairs; a domestic

The Proverbs 31 woman is "a women in seasons"- she does not do ALL of those things at once but as she (and her family) grows in grace and maturity is able to take on different roles. Proverbs Woman and Titus 2 Woman are one in the same: reigning in their domiciles as a servant-queen. God is still our sole provider of all things. "She watches over the activities of her household and is never idle." Prov 31:27. What would a wife and mother gain if she works outside the home to the detriment of her family? Who raises her children then? Who feeds her husband's soul after a weary day at work? Are there special circumstances? Indeed there are (widowhood or a catastrophic accident to the husband come to mind); but those are circumstances which have disrupted the normal family order and God will continue to provide even then, I've seen it.

Amen, Frank! Kind exhortation to women to quit the world's madness and rest in God's good and perfect order! And I echo Lady Virtue - such joy being traded away for lies and bitterness and so many from the pulpit encouraging it!

Angela, a hearty amen as well! God takes care of His daughters, no matter what is happening in their lives. And the joy Christ gives when it falls from Him through our husbands because of our faithfulness to Him is reward enough!

I'm still scratching my head at John's comment about women's "incessant talking" that is "inbred in us" and that we "can't help it." (1:38pm, 2/13); and not because it offended me or hurt my feelers, but because I know a number of sisters on this very thread who do not display such an ungodly characteristic. The comment was in no way edifying, kind or gracious and because it's not the first insinuation in this thread, makes me wonder why it was made. Isn't that the very type of "unloving" generalization John was just arguing about others making? I'm not disagreeing that it's a sin (1 Peter 3:7), however, SIN is inbred into EACH of us regardless of our gender and that SIN separates us from God, whatever it may be. If you know it's part of a woman's "weaker nature", why such an ungodly comment and why paint with such broad strokes? There's a warning to husbands that such a lack of understanding toward their wives will hinder their prayers. I have learned much from those godly women who I would not toss into the category we've all been lumped into. (Sorry if I have completely missed the point of John's comment and correct me if I am wrong!)
