Excuse me John, but I've read All of Grace & it's a wonderful little book but I've also read lots of Spurgeon's sermons. And if Spurgeon were here I think he would be offended, I don't think you know this but, Spurgeon was a professed calvinist. And everybody please, it's obvious that we have theological differences, but please remember we are all brothers and sisters.
It almost drives me to insanity looking at society's morals. I can't even begin to tell you how many people my age I've seperated from, because of their low view of marriage. I can't help but wonder, how does God feel? He gives us the wonderful gift of marriage, and we (not you guys, I just mean society in general) take this beautiful gift, throw it in His face and say, it's not good enough.
Did it really read like I accused you of calling me a liar?! My mistake and I sincerely apologize, I just stuck it at the end there, I was just trying to say hey I take this serious. My apologies. (Appreciate the comliment)
John, I wish to make something clear, I consider you a brother in the faith, but please, there are true brothers out there that are, like myself, calvinistic. So please watch how you talk of your brothers and sisters in the faith. I tell you this with the love of a brother. May God bless you.
We could fill a book, A LOT of books with Mark's many flaws. But that's not going to change anything. Please let us pray for him. Wether or not he realizes it, he needs it.
Thank you for answering my question Jim. As a bibliophile (I'm going to make you guys look that up in a dictionary, LOL) myself I love a paperback book, but I have an iPod and I have the iBooks app and it is so cool to be able to carry my library in my pocket.
Thanks JSC. I try to hear everybody's case, but as I demonstrated here, I don't always do that. And keep posting! Your comments are always encouraging! Hey unprofitable servant, you think your singing is bad? You haven't heard me sing, I am the WORST singer in history (I hate that because I love music) And to everybody who got upset that we're not talking about ObamaCare, that was my fault, I went around teaching Lectio Divina (which I've repented of) and I wouldn't listen to the very wise people here. My fault.
How bad is Mark Driscoll's teaching? Bad enough for John MacArthur to publicly state, "Mark Driscoll is unfit for ministry and needs to step down immediately".
Personally, while Ken Ham is great & all, I think Hank Hanegraaf (I think I misspelled his last name) would be better equipped to defend creation. But that's just me.
Thank you for the response JSC, I read it and pondered it. I really appreciate the encouragment, to be honest, I clearly have A LOT of growing to do, but thankfully being conformed to Christ isn't instantaneous, it's a day by day process (a fact for which I'm most grateful), thanks again!
Thanks guys, you just have no idea how relieved I am. But you are not going to regret this! I'm going to post a lot less & if I do post I'll carefully read over it. Again, thank you.
Matthew 5:23-24 is why I'm pleading forgiveness. Everyone here tried to warn me and I wouldn't listen. I've been stubborn, self centered, a real nuisance in other words a real jerk. I ask once more if you guys would please forgive me, I really am sorry.
