A Christian story disquised as witchcraft? Only a fool would believe that.

Why not label poison as candy and give it to children. Oh, convince yourself that it is good first and then give it to children.

The Gospel of Jesus Christ does not need a disquise. Only the devil needs to do that. If the watchman on the wall sounds the alarm and no one heeds the call their blood is on their hands, not the watchman's.

Wake up Christians, read your Bible and not Rowling's work.

Great quotes fellas.Another one I like is "Live Free or Die".Mike reminded us of the corrupt human nature. It is that corrupt nature that started this whole discussion.A boy(with a corrupt nature)in PA killed his brother (with a corrupt nature). Both of these boys deserve death since they are both sinners.(Rom3:23&6:23)It is for the Lord to execute judgement and this boy usurped that authority by his selfish act.As has been stated before, it is the responsiblility of the state (human government)to serve justice. We have an imperfect justice system but when we follow the Lord's principles it works well. When governments do not follow Biblical principles they become tyrannical like Nazi Germany,Communist Russia,China etc, and all of the Muslim nations. When the citizens are armed then governments (or factions of)have a much more difficult time enforcing their corrupt will on the people. On another note, if a homocide can occur in a home between brothers it certainly can happen on the streets or ivaders to my home. These are just some of the reasons I will "KEEP AND BEAR ARMS".My government did not give me any rights. The U.S.Constitution only recgonized my GOD given rights. On a final note, neither my opinion nor yours will likely be swayed, enjoy your security now,it will not last.

Wayne, you present your case well. I know this, there were six million unarmed Jews that the Nazis killed. They loaded them on box cars like sheep. I always wondered why people would be so compliant with a death sentence, now I know. Canadians have appearently given up freedom for perceived secuity. We have different philosophies on life and living. I like being a free man.

Wayne from BC Canada, you are wrong. A main reason for owning firearms is to protect one's self, family, community and constituion from a tyranical government. You folks in Canada have lost so many freedoms that you do not even recognize what freedom really is. Here in Kansas we still have some liberties but are fast becoming like Canada,Australia and Great Britain. We fought a war over such things as unreasonable taxes and quartering of soldiers in private homes. I am sorry that Canada was too far north for the Continental Army to easly reach. Had the logistics not been a problem then you too would know the freedom we enjoy here in the United States. We have bumper stickers that say "God,guns and guts built this nation, lets keep all three." That may be a redneck philosophy but certainly rings true. I will keep my Bible,my children,my home because I keep my guns. If I seem radical it is because society has shifted too far to the left. There is no backbone left today. No one is willing to punish crime, in the streets or between brothers over a video game.If visible guns are intimidating to people it is because they are weak in character and they know it in their heart. A free man(not a gun) intimidates the king's subject simply by his presence, confidence and strength of character.

The exchange of ideas on the net is interesting and entertaining. I hope we do not lose our focus on what is important. A boy is dead and his brother is responsible. There is a family in Pennslyvania that is experiencing a tragedy. Let us all who are Christian keep them in prayer. God forgive us for our shortcomings and bring peace and salvation to that family in the Name of Jesus Christ my Saviour.

Jim,

You are correct that God holds people responsible for there sin and sins, ULTIMATELY. However I hold my children responsible for their action, my boss holds me responsible for my actions and the government holds us all responsible for our actions all within the respective realms of authority. My question to Cbcpreacher was in response to him saying that the boy is responsible for his actions. My question is what does that mean? We say one is responsible but yet there is no consequence, no punishment. What is really sad is that Christians and "so-called" Christians do not read their bible and understand it. Perhaps it is because they use heretical versions of the Holy Scripture and have no understanding of Biblical doctrine. Perhaps their pastors do not understand and do not teach doctrine. Perhaps their pastors are hirelings and not really called of God to shepherd their flocks. I have strayed from the subject here. You are wrong on capital punishment.Capital punishment is not a sin. You should read your Bible, the book of Joshua chapter 7.Remember the man who took the wedge of gold from Ai? Oh, what of the woman taken in adultery? They would have stoned her just as the law set forth (Lev 20:10). Now Jim, look up John 8, verse 5 in particlar.Sad so many don't understand.

what a lame response! No one assumes responsibility anymore, let alone leadership in eliminating the priest who committed the crime. The lame response verifies the anti-christ position.

Hey, Cbcpreacher, how do we hold a person responsible if we do not administer justice ie. capital punishment for capital crimes?

How do we hold a person responsible for their actions? Do we just talk about it?

This 'pope' is nothing! He has no special power, he has no intersesory privilages with the Father God! He is not even a "little Christ." His heart is ruled by Satan! He couldn't even raise John Paul from the dead. What a failure! Can't even raise the dead, can't heal the sick, can't raise the lame. The only thing he can do is walk around with some guy nailed to a cross dipped in gold. He was part of the Nazi party! What a looser!

Wow, what a free range of comments. I have a question for those sitting on the same fence as Jerry. In no way would he vote for Giuliani, so if he wins the Republican primary and Hillary wins the Democratic. Who will you vote for? Will you just throw your vote away? Would you perhaps pray and fast and see what God would lay on your heart? Unfortunately Jesus Christ is not running for office. I am not putting my hope in a politician but wisdom and guidance from our Lord above. In hindsight how many people didn't vote for Ronald Reagan, and after his death found out that he was a very commited believer. So when the Israelites picked Saul, we know the results, I'm sure the people thought they were making the right choice. All in all God is in control, whoever wins is a vessel of God. Democrat, Republican, Independent.

“ If you like this one... ”
If you liked this sermon I encourage everyone here to listen to Paul Washer, founder of Heartcry Missionary Society. His slap-in-the-face style is refreshing and his teaching will change your perspective on todays compacient, watered down "Christianity." not to us - jon

Tongues was not a gift. It was a manifestation of the Holy Spirit. Whether the Spirit is manifested in the age of old or the end of the ages, it is only the work of God and not a stitch of man. To deny the power and the working of the Holy Spirit is heresy. Nowhere in scripture are we commanded to "practice tongues." Tongues, healing ect are manifestation of the Holy Spirit. Solo Deo Gloria
