Sale! Sale! Sale!
Christ's crucifixion nail.

Of course, prodigious.
From false religious.

Leading others astray.
For these people we pray.

Decayed rust looks angelic.
We will call it a relic.

The Roman's would embellish.
Nothing more would they relish.

Coming is the hour.
They have denied the power.

Tony, I believe you. And I also believe that we have become cold to evangelism. Not imitating the market-driven methodologies of coddling the lost as they bring them into the church, instead of sending the church out into a lost world with an offensive gospel. Dust your feet off and give it time. Preach the Word and let the Lord provide the increase. After viewing your posts for a while now, I feel assured that you indeed take time in explaining God's holiness, sin, etc.

I believe that we have some differences but nevertheless you are a brother in the Lord.

Keep the faith! I Timothy 4:7

Mike,

I find myself follwing your political reasoning at times. I had the same thought concerning our leaders and the domestic enemy. Obviously, there are many out there who have the same opinion. I normally have a dogmatic position about most positions that I take, however when it comes to bearing arms, takeover, etc., I want to engage but in my spirit there is this resistance part of me. I still am uncertain and need to study more before becoming dogmatic but ultimately I want to please, Christ. How do you feel?

So, he thinks he has a handle on life now that he is older. And a cup full of God's wrath without Jesus Christ as his Savior.

One does not learn to handle life but learns that he cannot handle even himself as he is drawn to the only savior.

Ringo, also said, "Being on this quest for a long time, ITS ALL ABOUT FINDING YOURSELF."
If you find yourself in Biblical terms you are lost and deny yourself.

"I stepped off the path there for many years and found my way back onto it, thank God."
So, old Ringo was actually on the path of "my sweet lord" all along with just a temporary detour along the way?

Also, notice the curious curse word that was uttered in the interview.

Without an open public profession of Jesus Christ as his Lord, this infatuating, idolizing of a contemporary icon, is at the least questionable.6854

Jim,

I would also hope that congress would initiate some kind of reform CIA having a standard for discipline that must be followed through. Even though we are in a foreign country we must be adamant that they follow our lead in regards to rules of engagement or they must find their support elsewhere.

This was extremely sad and I hope that the families involved have found grace in the time of need, as many missionaries have had to rest in God's ultimate sovereign will.

Similar to Esther, many missionaries have the same surrender to Christ - "...If I perish, I perish."

Brother John,

Greetings! I believe that brother Charles is simply stating that our Almighty God is in absolute control.
I feel that I can safely say that at one time or another most of us have probably gone too far in regards to our own personal commentaries concerning the things of God(indeed it is even His glory to hide things).

John, whether of sin,eg., Noah's flood or of no sin, eg., the man born blind,
we know that the purpose of God is to receive glory of which no man can stop.
JOB 42:2

Committee-plea,

Actually, I had the same thoughts as Mike, in regards to ad hominems. But, the dialogue between Christians can be so caustic that I did not wish to be drawn in(I have to be in continual prayer before and after posting to keep from stumbling into sin -Ecc.3:7)

Being overly critical at times and after being on the KJV only side before I want to do more than simply read James White's book. I would desire to be wholly true in examining both sides before being dogmatic.(John Owen's approach) As Christians sometimes we come to conclusions but become dogmatic(chuch or denomination teaching, no time to study so remain zealous in current position, etc.), even though we have not exhausted the subject.
In regards to James White an accredited institution may be a safeguard however there is no guarantee of good theology simply because someone has managed somehow to make the grade in todays seminaries(I do not but some refer to them as cemeteries in a pejorative way). I have his book on Justification and a few others and I think that they hold there own against any so-called experts.

Christian integrity would have us to purchase his book/s, and to read it/them without simply an attempt to find a quotation or two to attack.
Have a "grace day"!

June,

If you are not able to obtain a copy of Dr. White's book, then you might want to google his web site, "Alpha and Omega Ministries". Go to, "KingJamesOnlyism".

You will find some of his responses to Ruckman, Marrs, Riplinger and some other links.

I briefly looked at Kinney, for now.

June,

Do you have a copy of James White's book?
My wife once told me that I really could not be too critical of Pastor Warren if I did not actually have his book(his words not someone elses word about him, who has a different Biblical approach). If I was to maintain integrity as a Christian, I should read his words in context, so I bought the book.
A vociferous critic? I believe he stated that the KJV is a good translation. Does one get this meaning from your statement?

One of my son-in-law's just emailed me Jonathan Edwards resolutions for the New Year. Have you read those at all?
They are Biblical and convicting coming from Jon. Ed.

Tom,

Agreed. What we are seeing is the result of a numbers/money-driven church. No real faith or contentment but actually a man-centered and market-oriented approach.

The article states that Mr. Warren said they had met their budget during the year and it was only because of the less than expected Christmas donations that they are not solvent. It is difficult for me to believe that they met their budget for 2009 and then suddenly were 1 MILLION dollars in the red because of Christmas! What sort of budgeting wisdom is that? Certainly not Biblical.

This might turn a head or two but there will always be those who are misled by false teachers who mix the bad with the good.

Gospel of sin lamed.
Pulpit ashamed.

Entertain - gospel renamed.
"Unchurched", we've been framed.

Tom and Sue, toyed.
Manipulation deployed.

Never annoyed.
Empty prayer employed.

Preaching pragmatic.
Wisdom dramatic.

Unchurched!
Unsearched!
Unbirthed!

Michael,

If I remember correctly, Mr. Wilson, was correct in his evaluation of the Obama plan. A bag of Democratic untruths. Not only were the Amendments in relation to illegal immigrants put asunder but President Obama, went on in his speech to also falsely assert that the Republican claim that there would be federal monies aligned to ABORTION was a lie.

Joe Wilson cried that Barack Obama lied and a review of his speech shall decide.

"If thou faint in the day of adversity
thy strength is small.
If thou forbear to deliver them that
are drawn unto death, and thosse that
are ready to be slain;
If thou sayest, Behold, we knew it not;
doth not he that pondereth the heart
consider it? And he that keepeth thy
soul, doth not he know it? And shall
not he render to every man according to
his works?
PROVERBS 24:10,11,12

These most wicked herders.
Are committing murders.

Humans sliding to the slaughter.
Do not say, it's not my daughter.

No attempt to rescue.
Our conscience to renew.

Behold, we did not know.
Therefore, we did not go.

Some pulpits, men are swayed.
With God, motives are weighed.

To rescue is our duty.
Not compromise for booty.

True, God will render.
To every law bender.

A full contender.
A life defender.

Michael,

I believe that God is sovereign over all, even the judgment of nations. Although we should rest content in this(our citizenship is indeed in heaven)that does not mean that we should neglect our duty as good citizens, by continuing to take a stand for righteousness in society
as salt and light.

We are also citizens of earth and the Lord did not pray for our removal but the gospel is still the priority and must always be with us. Some only like to stand by Phil. 3:19 and almost take a monkish stand like Rome(Jim, not a personal attack, simply a statement).

"Through desire a man, having separated himself, seeketh and intermeddleth with all wisdom."
Proverbs 18:1

Jim,

I don't really have the time to read over all of your links but I will try to read one of them, so I probably won't be posting until then.

You agree that the gov. should adopt the death penalty because God's Word prescribes it, yet you say that we should not look to the Bible as a basis for our law? ? ?
But, you have use for Biblical principles (death penalty, pro-life, anti-homosexuality, etc.) however, masquerading as a secular state?

Jim, there is nothing neutral here. Either we use Biblical principles and are blessed with an orderly and prosperous society (like former days)or
we use humanistic, secular, changing
(let each do what is right in his own eyes laws, like today) and immorality, lawlessness, etc., will reign.

Jim,

"Don't waste your time", did not answer the questions.

So you would be totally in favor of applying mankinds lower laws over any Biblical principles?

For instance, we know that a general principle established by a just and holy God is that blood is required for the spilling of blood in a murder situation. In America today, many states have repealed the death penalty, yet, we realize that God says that if his law is applied to civil gov. then man's depraved heart (we are ingrained with sin in all of our parts, however if we are left free reign, men would begin to engage in the most heinous of acts.), would actually fear punishment, according to Romans(yes, the UNSAVED!)

Therefore, God says that the death penalty is a restraint, yet, you surely would not want a lower standard of man that would abolish this truth would you?
