No, just reminding Jim..."Whats good for the goose...", and Jesuit is spelled 'J-e-s-u-i-t'. The RCC did burn some heretics preacherjond, but thats all fire under the bridge...so to speak!
I know how Jesuit is spelled, and you know what it means to be a Gesu-ite.

So tell me what heresies the Christians were burned for-- believing the Bible? An institution burns believers for proclaiming God's word and rebuking error-- sounds like an anti-christ institution to me.

Oh, so you do admit to being a Gesu-ite, and that the RCC burned Christians for not submitting to his un-holiness.

Since there is a bit of discussion of the real Mary, the mother of the Mesiah of having had sexual relations with her husband Joseph (for this is how babies are normally conceived) and having given birth to them, James and Jude would of course be two of them...wonderful truth/history that Roman Catholicism denies to have "Their Lady" (literally an idol deceptively helped along by the demonic impersonations of Mary)
it is significant to notice
Psalm 69
8 I have become a stranger to my brothers,
And an alien To My Mother's Children
9 Because zeal for Your house has eaten me up,
And the reproaches of those who reproach You have fallen on me.
that is passage in Pslams which was prophecy concerning Jesus Christ ties being an alien to His mother's children to zeal for His Father's house being a House of Prayer NOT a house of merchandise in John Chapter 2.
But then Roman Catholicsim isn't big on prophecy as it exposes their beliefs to be false and the judgment Rome receives of the Lord in Revelation and their need to repent & leave now.
Amen!! and Amen!!

I'm not sure what this survey is getting at, but Paul wrote the very words of God, and what Paul wrote is not Pauls perspective, but Gods perspective and God's views and thoughts. This idea going around today that Paul was sexist and teaches a different gospel is ridiculous. God inspired Paul by the Holy Spirit, and everything Paul wrote is what God thinks about the subject, not Paul.

God has saw to the preservation of His Word thru the body of the church, in translation down thru the centuries. He has preserved His pure Word for every language and every generation.(Psalm 12:6-7)We have as much an accurate copy of His Word today as in the original writings for God has made sure that His Word has remained pure.

In the English language that preservation is found only in the KJV.

gg- the fact that the pope is addressed as 'holy father' is proof he desires worship. Jesus warned against calling anyone on earth 'father', only Almighty God is worthy to be called Holy Father. Once again, the RCC ignores the commands in God's word and deems it necessary to set up idol worship in the vatican, then proceeds to pray to a mortal woman, a maidservant saved by God's grace, forgetting the commandment, "You shall have no other gods before me", "For I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God". How do you get around that? Just overlook it, and let church 'tradition' take the place of the authoritative word of God! How terrifying it will be for this harlot of a church, the RCC,and all who love her, on the day of judgment.
Amen, if they were able to understand Revelation 17, where the RCC is described in exact detail, they would depart from it quickly. But since they have not the Spirit of God nor desire it, they are unable to discern the Scripture.

God hears our prayers and answers them. But if our prayers are directed to him through the saints in heaven, who are so much closer to him, the graces he bestows will be all the more abundant.
How much more so if the saint is the greatest of them all, Jesus' own mother.
Jesus Christ instructed us to pray to the Father and ask it in His name, how much better can you get, and do you think God will prefer to listen to the saints more than His Son? I don't think so.

"Of course, you won’t be able to comprehend this passage since your cult will not allow you to believe the truth that Mary had other children."

Amen brother Dan!! A catholic argument is that when the scripture talks about Jesus's brethren, it should be interpreted as His disciples or followers(or they try to make a word play with the "original greek" and say that it means His "cousins" or "relatives" In Luke we find a clear distinction between "brethren" and "cousins".) But this passage clearly makes a distinction between the two, and destroys the notion of Mary's perpetual virginity.

Dan, Fatima is not forgotten because it was an authentic apparition of the mother of Jesus.
It wasn't for the sake of a demon that God provided a stupendous sign witnessed by tens of thousands of people within a radius of perhaps 30 miles.
Lets not forget that satan is able to perform miracles and lying wonders such as these, and the Bible is clear that divine revelation ended with the book of Revelation.

I hope this is taken in the spirit in which it is intended but I have to wonder why in the world GG spends so much time on SermonAudio. I have to wonder why he and other devout Roman Catholics would be so interested in the goings on here. GG is certainly as entitled as anyone else to be here and I am in no position to suggest otherwise.
But ask yourself this: If he and Lance are such hardcore RCs, why in the world are they so interested in what is being said on a website that is so clearly of a strictly protestant/reformed persuasion? Are there no RC sites with interesting sermons, information and discussions for them? If so, why are they not there? What is it that keeps them so involved in the discussions here? What could possibly cause two men who are so obviously well versed (and rehearsed) in RC doctine and history to be so enamoured with the protesant/reformed theology SA is saturated with.
They are both Gesu-ite info gatherers...

What people are truly righteous?(those who are born of the spirit according to the Bible) What people are of light and not also of some darkness? Catholic's are not infidels, they are Christians(catholics are not biblical Christians) who happen to see God's word differently from you...just like other Prots disagree with you.(if their teachings do not line up with Scripture then they are not Christians either) But, I am beginning to think that you have a point. We should separate from you.(I already have)

"Pope Benedict XVI’s first visit to America as Pope will not be his introduction to this country, but it will be the first opportunity for Americans to see this Pope up close."

I think we should have shipped him right back to Italy and told him to stay and never come back.

What blasphemy to give ones self a title of "holy father" a name of God that is so reverent, it is only used once in scripture. He's wrong on both accounts-- he's not holy, and he's not father.

KJV, NIV...whats the difference?. All of them are incomplete and found wanting. The Textus Receptus used part of the Latin Vulgate to fill in where Erasmus' sources were missing. Douay Rheims...now there is a real and complete (contains the Deuts) bible.
At it again, eh GG? As usual, the regular old balogney.

If what you say is true, then what right did the Reformers have to declare themselves separate and and independent from their Mother Religion?
This right and commandment:

"Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty." 2Corinthians 6

True faith will bring forth works, Lance.
Good one, Michael Hranek. If one feels convicted to be rebaptized, let them. I have no quarrel with that. What matters most is their following the Bible alone instead of some traditions labeled as necessary or else face hellfire as defined by popes.
Actually if they were baptized as an infant they are not being "re-baptized", they are recieving scriptural believers baptism for the first time.

"Frying pan"? That's a funny view of Christian baptism.
-- Catholic baptism, in fact. Every valid baptism, no matter who it is performed by, is a Catholic baptism. It is the conferring of a sacrament of the RCC, even if it is done in a SB church by a SB pastor.
(laughing out loud)

What better way is there for him to gain their trust?

I've heard from this fellow before:

Unfortunately, he has the same evidential problem that Catholics have with their cult of relics. How can one know for certain it's not a fake?
Even granting that it's genuine, this should be only of passing interest for Christians who've read the book of Hebrews.
What about 1 Thessalonians, Daniel and Revelation which says the antichrist will sit in a rebuilt temple and declare himself to be God? If this is the true ark of the covenant(which I doubt it is) you can bet Israel will build a temple soon.
