Very sadly this is proof that politics and the quest for political influence has become much too central in our understanding of Christianity. This announcement by a man so connected with Christian orthodoxy is nothing less than a compromising of the person of Jesus Christ for political expediency. Mr. Jones must realize that Mr. Romney was PRO-CHOICE as Governor of Massachusetts and his claim of having an "epiphany" on the issue since declaring for the Republican Presidential Nomination is an indication of his insincerity and willingness to say anything to get elected, a character flaw in all too many of our "leaders" today. Christians making statements like this is paramount to trying to clean out the pigpen by jumping into the muck and oinking.

Although I have been biting my tongue (or tying up my typing hands as the case may be) for quite a while as regards to commenting on the website, I find it time to engage again with regard to this article. The article should concern all of us "Evangelicals". The enormous push into politics by those identifying themselves as "Evangelicals" is behind this sad set of circumstances. The fact that "Evangelcial" Christianity is being perceived as being less and less about the Gospel of Christ and more and more about pushing the interests of Israel, electing Republicans (regardless of their relationship with Christ), and spending so much time condemning sodomy and abortion that we we have forgotton the thousands of other sins that send hordes of reprobates to hell, is beginning to hamper the Great Commission. Vitriolic, verbal assasination against Romanism, Islam, Mormonism, Democrats etc.(all of which I am more guilty of than most) is counter-productive to preaching Christ crucified. We are perceived as being convinced that health care for the uninsured, and curtailing a mindless sinkhole of killing, torture and financial ruin are paramount to terrorism. I recognized my part in this some time back. Our pride & self righteousness is destroying our faith. Christ forgive us!

Let's see now: The pagan Chinese are fighting to not be made to have abortions, and we in "Judeo-Christian" America are flushing babies down toilets in fast food restaurants. Remember how God used to punish His people by having the pagan hordes overun them, conquer them, rule over them, take their women, enslave their sons etc.? The wrath to come?

How many children were sacrificed to Molech? Not as many as have been aborted in the USA. How many Sodomites were there in Sodom? Not as many as in the USA today. Think God is not merciful? He is. Is there a wrath to come? There is.

There is a lot of truth in this article about "ghosts" on the payroll. I left the Roman church almost 20 years ago and what was "my parish" continues to send me envelopes. Furthermore, the parish I grew up in and left 37 years ago when I married and relocated still sends me fundraiser paraphanalia as if I never left the old neighborhood. Ditto with my wife. It is possible that although neither one of us is Roman Catholic that we are both being counted not once but twice each! My father-in-law who has not been to his Roman Catholic church since his wife died in 1992, still gets envelopes, newsletters etc. Unlike Protestant churches which usually have a policy that if you ain't been there in a year, you're off the list, the Ecclesiastical protocal of "high" churches apparently plays a "numbers" game, maybe to influence politicians or maybe flatter themselves. Sort of like when Lyndon Johnson took Sam Rayburn to a cemetery in Texas and started registering dead people to vote off the tombstones. Old Sam said "Lyndon, what are you doing", LBJ answered "These people were all supporters of mine and I don't think it's right to dis-enfranchise them just because they had the misfortune to die!"

In 1967, I was shocked at the modern changes infiltrating the Roman church. By 1974 I could no longer recognize the church that I had been raised in.I wrote to the ArchBishop of Philadelphia about my confusion as to whether the "old" Pre-Vatican II church was true or the "new" Post- Vatican II church was. Eleven months later an assistant to "His Eminence" wrote back in a very condescending manner reminding me that the truth was what the church said it was, and that it was subject to the discretion of "the magisterium".I had been taught that the Bible was the word of God, and that along with church tradition constituted the "full" council of God.Well since church tradition was contradicting itself, I went to the Scripture.I discovered after 17 years of clandestine study (in my family reading the Bible without priestly intervention was scorned), that the entire Roman system was corrupt to it's core, and was more in tune with being the Anti-Christ than the body of Christ. Praise God, I was saved by Grace ALONE through Faith ALONE in Christ ALONE as revelaed in Scripture ALONE for God's glory ALONE. May the same happen to millions of Papists, Jews, and others who are distressed by the ever changing traditions of flip-flop Romanism.

A good rule of thumb that I've been using for years is what I call the "Grandma Walton Rule". It goes like this: You all (or most of you) should remember the TV show "The Waltons" about a depression era family in the hill of Virginia. Picture Grandma in the kitchen preparing food with daughter-in-law Olivia. If you can't picture Grandma asking Olivia to pass an ingredient, don't use the ingredient! Example: "Livy honey, pass me the hydrogenated guar gum, would ya".

The evolutionists and atheists have resorted to name calling because that's all they have to go on. Let's hear these fools attempt to contradict the museum's claims scientifically. They can not. Ken Ham and his good friends from the Henry Morris organizations have produced tons of scientific evidence that prooves the Biblical account of creation, none of which the evolutionists can dispute. I've seen many debates in person where Answers In Genesis and Henry Morris' organization have made idiots of people like Eugenie Scott. This museum will awaken many from the slumber of modernism and be a great tool used by the Lord.

"The party (DUP) objected to him (Liam Neeson) being offered the freedom of his home town of Ballymena and that led to the actor refusing the honour." What does that mean? I know Neeson was eager to play the part as I've heard him say so on the TV several times when being interviewed. Can someone (maybe in Ulster) explain? What's the connection between the DUP, Ballymena, and Neeson?

The Pope said (acording to the article): "I reaffirm the beauty & importance of a priestly life lived in celibacy as a sign expressing total & exclusive devotion to Christ, to the Church, & to the Kingdom Of God". In other words: A) Only priests, B) Only the celibate, express total, exclusive devotion to Christ? What chutzpah!!! Is he expressing total devotion to Christ when he prances around in those gorgeous robes, drinking wine from golden chalices, having people kneel before him & kiss his hand? Were the pedophile priests who ONLY fondled little boys expressing devotion to Christ because they were "priests" & technically "celibate"? Was "Pope" Peter The First NOT entirely devoted to Christ because he was married? I am afraid Benedict needs to do a better job than this to keep from tripping on his own words.
