“ Great Sermon! ”
I used to BEG my parents to please turn off the TV. It was always hot to the touch, like it never got a chance to cool down. There was no time of quiet and peace. I would lay awake listening to Johnny Carson mock my hometown and worry that the hot TV would start a fire.

As a child, the TV was on and loud, about 18 hours a day. I could not escape it. It came through my wall. This means it was on @126 hours a week. Through this box, blasted the message of feminism, the women's movement, how stupid Archie was for being a conservative, even the Maude show's "pro-choice" politics. I remember being offended as a modest little girl by Maude's theme song (bra-burner, nudity, etc.) No one spoke against this. Little did I know that I was slowly being spiritually defiled. As I write this, the TV is off and I refuse to see a Hollywood film.

“ Great Sermon! ”
As a born-again believer, I don't want anything to do with Halloween. But during my unsaved days, I used to love Halloween, but then this happened: Halloween 2001. I thought it would be cool to make the front of our house really creepy and scary for the trick-or-treaters. I went out and spent money on this Halloween junk like skeletons, spiders, etc. I bought a Hollywood-style CD full of scary sounds and music from a dollar store and blasted it loudly on the front porch. Then a precious sweet little girl walked up to the porch (her parents at the end of the driveway) and what I was playing REALLY SCARED this little one. I immediately turned it down to almost inaudible. I apologized. This felt so wrong--I know now that God was convicting me. And then this happened: 5-6 years ago I talked my husband into going to local lion's club haunted house. One of the ghoulish displays included an area devoted to dead, cut up, decapitated and bloodied babies. I was now a babe in Christ. This scene so upset me, I started to hyperventilate and cry profusely. It was so sick. My husband had to pull me out of the line, hug me and calm me down. It took at least 10 minutes for me to regain my composure. We left and agreed that Halloween has no place in the lives of Christians.

Was taught in my public school "sex ed" aka "health" by lesbians. Everything unGodly was taught into our minds of mush. Then, at the university level, this agenda goes into overdrive. On the show "Maude," on the TV which ran about 20 hours a day, she was convinced by her daughter Carole, that abortion "is no big deal, like getting a tooth pulled." Maude had the abortion... Thanks for the sermon. As a born-again Christian today, I am in the process of unlearning everything I have ever been taught.

Wow, I loved this sermon. I am a Bible-believing KJV Christian who has woken up to the reality of Hollywood, places like Las Vegas and NYC. I have reached a point where there is almost nothing I want to watch in a theater or on TV. Even if the content seems harmless, these big media companies donate to organizations like Planned Parenthood. Every day is another day of sanctification in my walk with Christ.

My heart and eyes overflow. This sermon has brought me such joy. I am an elderly 67-year old convert. God has in His mercy, snatched me from the fire by HIs Grace. Pray for my two children that they too will come to His faith.

As an added comment, the first tapes are much slower than the following. I can not understand how somebody could read that fast. Very uncomfortabe!!

The speaking on these tapes is so fast that it is absolutely impossible to keep up with. I appreciate the speaker but why loose a whole series or tapes that the church needs. Please if you would redo these. Thank you

I am a member of the Reform Church and am so glad this sermon came out. I have been coverted for only a few years, yet when I heard the Reform ideas on the end times I was very alarmed. My brother-in-Christ stood in Sunday school and actually in an almost joking voice ridiculed the idea that the book of Revelation should be taken in any instance literally. We as a group are missing on so many blessings and are missing the excitement of Christ's earthly reign with his chosen people, Israel, not the elect church. When Calvin and Luther held these views, the nation of Israel was scattered and was not a people as a group. I feel sure that if both were alive today, they would not ignore what is going on in Israel today. What a joy!

“ Great Sermon! ”
I would like to send this to Tweety, who commented on the doctrine of election, and that it keeps us from spreading the word through out the world. I am a member of a Grace Reform church. One of our primary missions is missions. God has chosen by the foolishness of preaching to call his elect out of the world. We support several missionaries and personally witness. We rejoice that he can use us for building His kingdom. Witnessing starts with each of us individually and I know that you too will reach out to others. Love in Christ Kathryn

The first time I listened to you I was very disturbed because of your affliation with the Southern Baptist and their holding of easy believism. I too was raised in the FBC and through the years watched it apostitate. It is now a social, new age organization. The first sermon, that I listened to you, made the statement that if someome comes into contact with a Reform Baptist, they need to run. At that time I wrote to you and explained that I am Reformed Baptist and that we, in truth, were preaching and believing exactly the same as you. After reading your comment on election based on foreknowledge of persons chosen by God in eternity, I am thrilled. God in His mercy chose me and put me in Christ. "Christ in me the hope of glory." Thank the Lord for revealing the truth to you. Love in Chist---Kathryn

Great Sermon! So true. Many, including myself. have been deceived by easy believism without repentance. Only God and His grace showed me the truth. Unfortunately, leading sinners to Christ by getting them to repeat the "sinner's prayer" is one of Satan's greatest deceptions. It is widely used in this day and time. I praise the Lord for raising up ministers like Pastor Bouma to preach the truth. Much love in Christ----KW

Wonderful sermon. How we as God's elect need such encouragement in a world that appears in such chaos. Amid doubts and fears we have a anchor within the veil that in fact laid hold of us rather than vice versa.

This is one of the most enlightening, Christ-centered, God-honoring sermons I have ever heard. Every believer and non-believer will be blessed by this sermon. Praise His Holy Name!!!!

What a wonderful sermon!! I too am 62 years old and God through his grace call me from the dead and put me in Christ only 3 years ago. As a new christian, I am growing in grace and need sermons like this. I praise our Lord that He still provides servants on earth to rightly divide the truth and teach us.
