You"re right thst you have nowhere to go with that. Your sensitivities aside, your theology lends to the conclusion thay - if salvation is meritorios on the goodness of the person, then it would be unjust of God to withold what is rightfully due.
Even Rome admits atheist and muslims can make it. But you know it's not politically correct for you here.
Cab, no wonder you don't like TULIP. You got SIN and DEPRAVITY wrong. If God were to remove His restraining hand, man would race headlong to hell.
You think man is ok and at judgement, Allah will weigh the good and the bad deeds on a balance.
'Him, being delivered by the determined purpose and foreknowledge of God, you have taken[a] by lawless hands, have crucified, and put to death' ACTS 2:23 explains GOD's sovregnty vs mans responsibility. See if you can get this right:- Who killed Jesus
John Beechy wrote: "The most numerous sin is unbelief..." Exactly. And the professed believer who thinks he is elected, chosen, sanctified, wise in theology and doctrine, blessed, and following the Shepherd, is actually an unbeliever. Then when Jesus says I never knew you and casts him into the fire, his Calvinist belief will still
But John, your problem isn't Calvinism (it never is), your problem is that God did the choosing and not you. even if Calvin hadn't said it, somebody reading the bible woud have. I would have said it!
just answering wrote: Calvinists are the elect since they stick to the Bible truth and doctrine, follow a sovereign God and Limit Atonement only to those whom God drew to Christ. They know that man is totally depraved and election is by God alone and completely unconditional. Oh and ps:- Angels don't need wings in the spiritual realm, they don't have the shoulders to support them.
Romist's are Islamic in the way they pretend to post as Calvanist'S to discredit Calvinism.
Oh and Speaking of decieving Romanist's, Steve why do you slip in a subtle swipe at people as you make your point. Must be the Romanizm in you.
To find paedo baptism in the bible, you have to check your brains in at the coat rack. Then when you read your bible, you find that all the children are saved. Untill they grow up. Then most of them aren't cute enough to save.
God loves the children but hates the same former children as adults.
Remember 'A bible Christian Who Made Believe'? He had a superhero messenger called JV that used to travel to hell and back through a portal somewhere on route66. JV had had all these special powers and was privy to secret supernatural information.

You picked that up too in SteveR's post. He was setting up for the Roman Mary.
My Lord and my Savior. My redeemer. If only I would know you like you out to be known. If only I would love you like you out to be loved. But I always get on my way. For I love ME more then I love you. And forfeit the truelove for a counterfeit one.
I would have perished in my ignorance had you not come looking for me. But now I will never know all those things you took upon yourself in my stead.
If there's one thing I want to be known for, is that 'he loves his Jesus'.
objective wrote: Think about it UPS. All that GOD reveals and records in Scripture is the term "Household" (Lets stick to God's Word alone) - No detail of ages because they are not required. Now question for you Ups, What age of humans can you find in "household" ???
The call was to "repent and be baptised". I always saw that as the age that the bible gave for any and all in any hosehold that got baptised. THAT"S THE SCRIPTURAL REQUISITION FOR BAPTISM.
So you see, the bible doe's give the age then!
Now a real simple question:
Why do we baptise infant girls?
And why did peter ask Jews, (who had circumcised their children to claim Abrahams promise), to then baptise those children in Acts 2:39 to claim Abrahams promise?
