Cody, you comment is sort of the point those of us excersizing the freedom to not have vaccinations shudder at - "depending on the situation". We have had pertussis go through our house - it was not fun. HOWEVER, our suffering was not in vain.
But this "depending on the situation" argument means there really isn't any freedom, just lip service, and when things get shaky the vacc-crowd goes berserk. If you're vaccinated, then you should be able to safely reside next to my children without worrying about yourself!
People ignor vitamin C therapy which has been proven to cure a miriad of things. Pen's right here - people have stopped thinking and they just spew back whatever the "professionals" say and quit caring about this body that belongs to God. It's way less hassle to just ignor where the vaccines come from, what they contain and the risk versus benefits than research this. Still it should remain the parents choice at ALL times to go either route and that shouldn't be infringed upon.
SF, my thoughts as well. Church is for the feeding of the Body of Christ. Unbelievers may and can benefit from hearing the word, rightly divided, at this time but that is not the point of church service on the Lord's Day. When persecution comes, and the "circus cannot come to town", I wonder how many of these same people will come to sit to pray, repent and seek God's face. Will they even know how? Will they even recognize what's going on because they have been fed from food that is not off the Lord's table but simply satisfied their stomachs and not their souls? You have to question the system when 300 people get baptized at once - I know full well God can move upon any of them at any time and save their souls, and may it be so; but it seems from the article they came for the bull - and that might be precisely what they got, a lot of bull.
Frank, completely agree, especially the soon coming of our Lord and Savior. I pray you and yours are well!
Mike, I think Jim has actually said before he thinks vacc's should be mandatory. I think parents should have the choice and not be penalized either way. Those who do vacc shouldn't be worried about my non-vacc'ed kids because they're "safe"... right...?
Jim, the vaccinations in these third world countries are sterilizing their girls. Over 90% of the vaccinations are given to girls only - and birth control hormones and outright sterilization compounds are present in the tetanus and MMR's they receive as documented by WHO and three independent labs. These people being forced by their governments to vacc their children - the crews show up in the village, the families bring out their kids, get their shots, are given a cocktail of medications to help deal with the 24-hr side effects and they're done. There is forced sterilization going on - has nothing to do with stopping measles...
"In keeping with his ministry of mercy, however, Pope Francis has extended his powers of forgiveness to those ‚Äúmissionaries of mercy‚ÄĚ priests who will visit Catholic dioceses and parishes..."
The audacity takes my breath away... "extend his powers of forgiveness"?!?! These woman will need a mighty work of the Holy Spirit to save their souls if they agree to fall under the blasphemy of this so-called "forgiveness". Lost souls!
Other vaccines, also prepared using human cell lines from aborted foetuses:
two vaccines against hepatitis A, one produced by Merck (VAQTA), the other one produced by GlaxoSmithKline (HAVRIX), both of them being prepared using MRC-5; one vaccine against chicken pox, Varivax¬ģ, produced by Merck using WI-38 and MRC-5; one vaccine against poliomyelitis, the inactivated polio virus vaccine Poliovax¬ģ (Aventis-Pasteur, Fr.) using MRC-5; one vaccine against rabies, Imovax¬ģ, produced by Aventis Pasteur, harvested from infected human diploid cells, MRC-5 strain; one vaccine against smallpox, AC AM 1000, prepared by Acambis using MRC-5, still on trial.
Here's what makes up part of the MMR - and why Christians should take a serious look at the ethical and moral "disposition" of these vaccines. Sorry it's a little long:
"To date, there are two human diploid cell lines which were originally prepared from tissues of aborted foetuses (in 1964 and 1970) and are used for the preparation of vaccines based on live attenuated virus: the first one is the WI-38 line (Winstar Institute 38), with human diploid lung fibroblasts, coming from a female foetus that was aborted because the family felt they had too many children (G. Sven et al., 1969). It was prepared and developed by Leonard Hayflick in 1964 (L. Hayflick, 1965; G. Sven et al., 1969) and bears the ATCC number CCL-75. WI-38 has been used for the preparation of the historical vaccine RA 27/3 against rubella (S.A. Plotkin et al, 1965). The second human cell line is MRC-5 (Medical Research Council 5) (human, lung, embryonic) (ATCC number CCL-171), with human lung fibroblasts coming from a 14 week male foetus aborted for "psychiatric reasons" from a 27 year old woman in the UK. MRC-5 was prepared and developed by J.P. Jacobs in 1966 (J.P. Jacobs et al, 1970). Other human cell lines have been developed for pharmaceutical needs, but are not involved in the vaccines actually available.
Great Sermon! Considering the addiction to entertainment which professing Christians have, one can't help but think of what Christians in communist and muslim countries are going through - they are willing to suffer and die for their faith.
In the past there were Christians persecuted in the USSR that made it to safety in the free world but were so disappointed to see the lukewarm state of the churches here. We have had it so prosperous for so long here, but times are changing and it may not be long before a purging will begin.
1Peter 4:17 For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God...
Informative Sermon! Surely a true believer would not be fooled by such men for long.
And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers.
I should clarify that there are times when cutting off our hair is a necessaesity - I know a few missionaries who had their hair shaved when they contracted a skin diseases while in Uganda. And the woman who fights cancer and looses her hair, like my mother. God cares about our outward appearance but looks at our heart.
Awakened, the Greek states it as a "woman", not necessarily married, but possibly so. The headcovering shows a submission as a woman to the created order of man and I think a solid case could be made for this pertaining to a woman whether married or not for that very reason.
Jessica - take heart dear sister! Long hair is a special covering given by God as a crown to us women. HOWEVER, there is no definition on the exact length and this is God's grace. The arthritic limbs that cannot care for hair (or a myriad of other reasons) should not bring us disgrace as long as we are not purposely cutting all of our hair off. We keep it clean and as nice as we can for our beauty does not come from outward adornment, like jewelry and braided hair. But from a gentle and quiet spirit which is of great worth in God's sight! He loves His bride and looks forward to the day when He will complete her beauty in Him!
The headcovering in Corinthians is a separate covering for our hair - not our hair. The reason women are supposed to wear a head covering during worship is because of the created order of man and woman and headship. Outside of corporate worship, our hair serves as a covering and "our glory" but during corporate worship we are to COVER our glory as is befitting a woman who is submitting to God's design. It's a sad thing that it is dismissed as only our hair or a "cultural thing" and no longer practiced in the Church. It is ignored by Pastors, scorned by feminists and dismissed by pretty much everyone else.
ladybug, thank you!! It seems this video is a broad picture of the book. My husband is dissecting it now (the book, that is; about half way through it) and has ordered a copy to send to some of our relatives who sit on the fence about vacc's.
I think it's a loosing battle, that is, I do believe at some point in the near future it will be mandatory, but for now we have a choice. Choose wisely. Our bodies are not our own and Christians especially should be careful with the vessel we have been given, not to exhault it above the soul, but to care for it while we are on earth and have the means to do so. If someone still feels they should have their children vaccinated, that's their choice. And, if they are so convinced that vaccinations are that great, they also must be protected from those who choose not to, right? So what's the problem??
Did you know that in the early 1990's, in an attempt to create vaccines (including the flu shot) with lesser amounts of aborted baby stem cells used, Pharma turned to using peanut oil derivatives and wheat based derivatives in their vaccines. Flash forward a decade and a half: ever wonder why none of us on the board ever knew anyone (with RARE exception) who couldn't even touch a peanut or couldn't eat bread and NOW they have to ban peanut products from schools and nearly half of the population is in some way "gluten intolerant"? The country of India - a heavy peanut eating people - switched their vaccines at the behest of WHO to this less expensive peanut based vacc's about 5 years before the U.S. It's ranked now as the #1 country for severe peanut allergies in the last two generations. At least ask questions!
