Saudi Arabia. The place where the 911 hijackers came from. The place where this schmuck comes from. The place where Osama Bin Laden comes from. The place where the masterminds of terror come from. The place where the money comes from for Islamic terrorism all over the world. The place where our President grovels and pleads for "more oil please sir", like a miserable Oliver Twist begging for more supper. And who do we attack? Iraq. Iraq, where there were no WMDs. Iraq where there was no AlQaada. Iraq, who couldn't punch their way out of a wet paper bag. But the Bush family and the Cheyney family and the Royal House of Saud eat barbecue and break pita bread together. Just like illegal immigration, the true, modern, NeoCon, Republican brand of patriotic conservatism is all in the dollars. The rest is all verbage. They love to wave the American flag. The one with the label that says "made in China".

The Word is clear.Sodomy is a filthy, wicked abomination in the eyes of God. Health wise it is also devastating. Disease and contamination abound when the natural is abused in an unnatural way.The medical reasons alone should be enough to convince any secular atheist that Sodomy is evil incarnate.Having said that, let us not forget that adultery is sin,as is stealing,as is covetousness,as is bearing false witness.Unless you are a papist and believe in mortal and venial sins, you know that Scripture teaches that sin is sin.Now I will wager that there are a lot more adulterers, thieves, liars and covetous idolators in your church than there are sodomites.Does your preacher address all sin equally in his messages or is he fixated on Homosexuality? We need to face facts. We are so wicked ourselves that we look more tolerantly upon lying, thieving, adulterers than we do upon sodomites. Why?Obviously because sodomy is a sin that most of us do not engage in and have no intent to ever engage in.But, we are convicted of our propensity to lie, cheat, steal, lust after our neighbor's spouse, covet his goods etc.So we use our sinful nature to rationalize that THESE sins are not as bad as THAT sin.By all means rail against sodomy. But don't use it as a measuring rod to minimize other sin.

Now folks, I'm NOT opposed to capital punishment. I support it. However, I'm not sure that we want to enact the Old Testament code for it. Perhaps I misjudge the forum. Are we in fact in favor of executing the adulterer? The Sabath breaker? Or are we being selective in our enforcement by limiting it to the murderer and the sodomite?

Now Shawn, you know that you just opened a plethora of possibilities here don't you? Time to line up all circus fortune tellers, readers of horoscopes, adulterers (you know what Jesus said about THAT), disobedient children, Sabath breakers, (think of the hundreds of thousands of fans at Sunday ball games) blasphemers, false prophets (the whole TBN network), those unchaste during marital engagements, etc. Why even Hanging Judge Parker didn't have a gallows big enough to handle that. Don't take it personal, I'm just having some fun. I don''t really believe that a New Testament Christian such as yourself would kill all the homosexuals in the world without trying to preach Jesus to them and follow David's lead (a man after God's own heart) and leave it in His hands. "Vengeance is mine, I will repay". Romans 12:19. Again, "Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good". Romans 12:21, Again, "If your enemies are hungry, feed them, if thirsty give them drink, by so doing you will heap coals of fire upon their heads". Romans 12:20.
Lord Bless:
Tony

Shawn: Just for the record: Are you indicating a belief that the wholesale slaughter, and torture of homosexual men by the Nazis was a desirable action and one to be encouraged by other nations today such as the United States and Great Britain for example?

What we Christians refer to as "The Great Commission" is cut and dried and straight to the point. Your charge is to preach Christ. This campaign has clearly exhibited that introducing politics into Christianity is nothing short of blasphemy. Whether white, Black, left, right, Republican or Democrat, it reflects a desire of "preachers" to assume political power for themselves and their agenda. This past Memorial Day, a program televised attempting to declare the USA a "Christian" country. John Quincy Adams was quoted. He was a Unitarian. When he connected the word "Christian" to America, he certainly was not using the term as we Evangelicals would. They also quoted Eisenhower's use of "Supreme Being". To apply that to a Christian context is ludicrous! Even Animists have a "Supreme Being". This shows the levels of intellectual dishonesty that those who want to mold Christianity and politics are willing to ascend. They fool only the most base of American political constituencies, and cause scorn and distrust to descend upon Bible believing Christianity. They would do the country and the Church well to examine their motives and repent.

Here we go again! More Jack London, survival of the fittest philosophy spawned from Darwinian thought. Turn to your firewood, guns, and stored up food. Re-dig your bomb shelter from the Cold War.Just remember God is Sovereign. If He chooses to bring judgement on this sinful world (including the USA, even though we are always convinced that He is on OUR side) nothing will prevent it.

Two points: First, I wonder why WND did not publish an account of this incident? (Or any other "Christian" publication for that matter.)
Second, I wonder if those book burners wish to return all the money that Christian Zionists are flooding into Israel?

This guy really has something here. As someone very familiar with the Lancaster County Pa. Amish and Old Order Mennonites, I am always fascinated watching these farmers plough with Belgian draft horses and mules. The animals seem happy, the farmer seems more relaxed and they tell me that pulling a stuck object out of snow and mud is a lot better done with a couple of massive, strong equines than it is with rolling wheels powered by an engine. As a fan of Victorian England portrayals on TV and in movies, I think that I might like to see horse cabs and carriages back on the streets. There would be a lot less automobile trafic deaths, less teenage pregnancy (at least in winter), less need for chemical lawn fertilizer (the real manure would be readily available) and the "clippity clop" would have an aesthetic appeal to romantic types such as myself. We would all slow down and live longer, women would wear long dresses again to preserve modesty getting in and out of carriages and perhaps gentlemen would return to assist ladies in and out of the same. We could even return to a "shotgun rider" to maintain law and order to the passengers and cargo. Pollution would go down there would be new jobs for immigrants (picking up after the horses and mules). I say "go for it" !

I respectfully submit for your consideration that judging from the political orientation of these crusaders for the Christian doctrine of "Thou shalt reject anything that the Republican Party (The Party Of God) rejects", are more interested in the well being of the corporate rich than the world's poor. Hey Janet, hey James, "Go forth and preach the gospel to all nations". God is sovereign enough to take care of global warming, global melting and false teachings on the subject. Don't try to "Biblicize" an issue because your political affiliations crave it. We all know that "God is on OUR side". People like you have been telling us that for hundreds of years.

Mark M.: With all due respect sir, Mr. Hagee does not believe that Jews must come to God through Jesus Christ, and has made that position clear several times. As far as the Roman church having a history of anti-Semitism, I once again remind this forum of the history of Fundamentalist anti-Semitism in the USA prior to the rise of Dispensationalism as the preeminent flavor of American Fundamentalism. Being from Georgia, you might have heard of the Leo Frank lynching? Check the religious affiliation of the perpetrators. You won't find a Papist among them. But you'll find many "Bible believing, Fundamentalist Christians" with rope burns on their hands from their night of showing how "America should deal with Jew libertines", as the newspaper headlines of the time called it.

It is indeed sad that professing Christians around the globe are being persecuted without a word of protest, let alone action by the United States and it's allies, and especially the Christians within those countries. I suppose that without an abundance of oil beneath their dirt, or a direct bearing on Israel's security, whatever affects these Christians does not interest us. Of course, as American Evangelicals we can always justify our lack of proactive involvement by dismissing these folks as not being REAL Christians because they are Anglican, or some other tradition that does not suit our definition. For those who feel that from a political position it is not our business to get involved, I would expect a similar restraint from using Biblical beliefs in all other "political" action, both domestic and foreign. That of course would only be consistant with the positional excuse.

You're spinning your wheels Neil, trying to deal a strong Christological theology to these guys. When you boil Dispensationalism down to it's base stock you're left with a recipe of God giving the Jews a blank check payable on the Bank Of Heaven. This check enables them to disobey Him, reject His Son and their Messiah, thwart His salvation plan forcing Him to go to "plan B" (saving the Church until the Jews let Him have their way), and dump on every goy government on earth, while setting Christians against one another. If the trial of Christ were held today, Pilate would not have to humiliate Jesus by saying "Am I A Jew? Thine own people have delivered thee unto me!". Instead he would say, "Look Jesus, I have to do what's best for the Jews. That's what You're people, "The Church" want me to do!

You are on the mark Neil. Our rotund friend seems to have selective memory loss. Without encouraging our lost RCC friends on the forum, it must be remembered that within the early part of the 20th century the "Fundamentalist Protestants" in this country were as anti-Semitic as any Papist Inquisitor ever was. It wasn't until Dispensationalism became the darling of American Fundamentalism that people like Hagee lost their Reform roots and ventured into a system defining the Church as a "parenthesis" in God's real purpose to put the world under Jewish rule. The Fundamentalist mantra of the early 20th century in the South & Midwest was "No Negroes, Jews or Catholics in America." So take heart GG, Lance and JY, the Fundamentalists have taken in the African-Americans & they promote Zionism. Soon you may even be welcome. All it will take is a new and novel hermaneutic movement. Of course if McCain wins and Hagee wants to be "America's Pastor" in the new Administration, he may even author it.

Neil: You mention that the spy "took a vow upon himself". On Yom Kippur Jews recite a prayer called the Kohl Nidre, literaly meaning "Release of All Vows". It tells God in no uncertain terms that any "vow" a Jew makes in the coming year isn't "for real". In other words it's just to fool the goy. It's one of the reasons why European governments would not let Jews hold government positions in centuries past. What good was the oath of office, if the oath was Kohl Nidre?

This is but one more example of the treachery that is the State of Israel. Despite billions in aid, far surpassing what the USA gives to the rest of the world combined, and despite the Iraq invasion, which was done more for the Zionist lobby than it was for U.S. Security, Israel continues to utilize Jewish Americans to spy against their own homeland, out of loyalty to the Jewish State. The bottom line remains that "friends don't spy on friends". Yet American politicians will cower in fear from the lobby and not speak out against this unsavory behavior. What, I wonder, do all those patriots down South in Christian Zionist churches feel about this? Do we bring "blessing" upon ourselves by condoning this scurrilous and egregious affront to our national security? The history of espionage against our country by it's inhabitants is rife with Jewish names (Fuchs, Gold, Greenglass, Rosenberg, Sobell, Elitcher, Pollard etc. etc.) It's bad enough that American politicians love lobby gelt more than they love America, but when the Christian Church is willing to sell out America for Israel, while cursing homosexuals, abortionists, and Muslims as bringing God's wrath upon the USA, it is the height of hypocrisy, blasphemy and heresy, and thus Satanic in it's disguise and chicanery.

In 1961 in a classroom at St. Thomas More High School in Philadelphia, Fr. Thomas Madigan, a Roman Catholic priest of the Vincentian order (named after "St.Vincent DePaul") was teaching the Reformation. I was in the class. The textbook being used carried the Imprimatur of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Philadelphia. Young Fr. Madigan said "Despite what we read in the text, Luther was right in condemning the sale of indulgences in order to raise money to build the Cathedral in Rome". I went home and told my mother that as soon as I left her household I intended to become a Protestant because "Luther was right". She called my parish priest, who rushed to my house to verbally confront me and who began a mini-Inquisition resulting in Fr. Madigan being sent back to St. John's University in New York for "remedial education". Thirty two years later, at the age of 46, after reading the Bible in secret in my garage for 17 years (to avoid confrontation with my family) I experienced God's Sovereign, Irresistable Grace and was regenerated by the Holy Ghost, and baptized into a Bible believing church. Some day I will join the old German "wild boar" in singing "Ein Fest Berg Est Unser Gott". I wonder if Thomas Madigan will be there? Christ used him, and Luther to get to me.

Certainly this is nonsense. However, turnabout is fair play. For centuries the rich and powerful have attempted to keep the poor and abused in check by assuring them that the Bible teaches man to obey authority and seek the heavenly reward, while church and state conspired together to use and abuse the masses. If these folks got the idea to manipulate Scripture for the left, it is only because they have seen it done so well by the right.

Susan: Google "Martin Luther's Table Talk". Better yet buy a copy and add it to your book shelf. (Otherwise, you will be sitting at your computer for weeks.) Read the index - you'll find the part you're looking for. The Great Reformer was described by the Pope as a "Wild Boar Loose In The Vineyard". Try to get an unabridged edition so you can get the true flavor of this no-nonsense man whose courage the true Biblical Faith owes so much to. He asked no quarter and took none from any man.

Susan Miller: Trust me, there is no one who has a brain who can not see the fact that U.S. Foreign policy (especially as it pertains to the Middle East) is being dictated by the Zionist Lobby. The term "Neo-Con" is just a sanitized name for "Zionist". Sadly, if you continue with your campaign I have no doubt that you will be blacklisted by this forum, as the "lobby" has infiltrated Evangelical Christianity's innards thanks to a century of careful intrigue involving the Anglo-Saxon mentalities of England and the USA, primarily due to the fact that England controlled Palestine and the USA was correctly seen as replacing England as the toughest, biggest, richest guy on the block. As Menachim Begin said "there are only 2% Jews in America, but there are 32% Evangelicals, they are the ones to convince." The rest of the non-Evangelical "Christians" and even Jews who don't see things the Zionist way are marginalized by being called "anti-Semites". The influence of the lobby in network broadcasting, print media, entertainment, politics (due to money) etc. is so great that it's tentacles reach everywhere. In fact, I may now be banished before you will. Alas, Luther (God rest his wild boar soul) may have been right all along.
